  • I have the MSAR (just the gsar but with the Canadian maple leaf) made Nov/2009 I of 500.....and I love it. But this JSAR is sweet... wish I had the money... :)

  • @ivegotamagicstix I ment CSAR...sorry

  • I like the new strap better. Cheers, brother.

  • Thanks for the great review. It's been one of the only sources of info on this watch on the internet.

I've been looking for a Marathon CSAR for a while, but pickings are relatively slim. Where did you acquire yours?

  • @sghost128 Please give Eric a shout thru Maloja@gmail.com and tell him I sent ya. Eric is an awesome fella to do business with and answered all my questions when I bought my GSAR and then CSAR from him. The best customer service I've come across. To date he hasa couple of CSARs with bracelets ready to ship.

    Cheers!

    Norman

  • @nubo32

    Thanks.

  • Thanks for the great review. Really, one of the only ones on the internet thus far.

I was wondering where you acquired this Marathon CSAR. I've been on the hunt for one for a while, and pickings are a bit slim...

  • Poor design. If its a chronometer why would it have an additional bezel chrono

  • does anyone own a CSAR and a Breitling super avenger, if so which one do u like better

  • Why no shots of the tritium in action? Curious to see how its placed on the dial.

  • Good review! I myself have the JSAR and you're absolutely right these watches are BRUTES. Got mine fitted with an od green maratac band

  • Good review -- I have a very similar Marathon TSAR. One question: How do you set the time on yours?! I'm able to change the date and wind the watch, but none of the Crown positions seem to do the trick... ???

  • Pliant?...

  • Very nice watch!

I have a JSAR and had the TSAR in the past, love the tritium but the size of the TSAR was way to small for me, one day i will also have a CSAR, and the tritium and the great size.

  • Thanks for your review, and thanks to Nat for putting me on to it, now what can I sell to make room for it.... ;@)

  • Sorry RJcur.

I'm gonna take as many folks down with me with this CSAR. LOL!

It's a great watch and I love wearing it everyday. Worth every penny....

    Cheers

  • aghh.....wish I hadn't seen this....now it's like I HAVE to get one!

I'll start saving, great review, thanks!

  • Great review...I have the JSAR but also looking for a CSAR...prefer the auto movement.

  • Those are some sweet watch's

  • EX PEN SIVE

Id take that over a rolex/tag/omega any day of the week. I think the only think you could possibly do to make this watch better is have a push button claspe with safety like the Seiko Orange Monster. Your a lucky/broke guy. Nice review!

  • Yup! Very broke LOL! I pretty much sold all my other watches just for this ONE watch. It's my daily wear and I Love it!

    Cheers!

  • Are you nubo on EDCF as well? If so I really like the leather bracelets you make, I'm thinking about getting a GSAR or TSAR, could you do a quick reveiw on the GSAR you have? and also if you are the leather band maker could you show one with your awesome work? Thanks

    gears

  • I've always loved Hunky Chunky watches. The GSAR I had before was nice and thick. But then when the CSAR specs caught my eye I couldn't resist checking one out. And when I opened the box upon arrival it was a sealed deal. The CountyComm JSAR review video illustrates it quite clearly. I blamed them for me getting the CSAR. LOL!

    Cheers!

  • Wow, the CSAR and JSAR are massive! It make the TSAR look like a regular sized watch by comparison. I just got the TSAR today and it's still double the thickness of my Wenger lol

  • Any chance you can do a review on the GSAR?

The CSAR is a bit out of my price range so I am seriously considering a GSAR. The problem is there isn't anywhere to see one.

  • Hi ya FOOT67

I briefly had a GASR and sorta regret letting it go. It's an amazing watch for the money and definitely built to take some punishment.

BTW, a JSAR is as big as the CSAR but less than a quarter of the price. :D

  • just found your vid on the epic 'marathon' post on WuS -- great review, thanks

  • Thanks for the kind words, WUS Brother. Stay tune. I got Custom Strappies for it coming up!! :P

  • GREAT REVIEW! We were going to post a video, but yours came out covering everything we were trying to do. Enjoy your CSAR

  • THANKS COUNTYCOMM!! I lost count how many times I watched your JSAR review :D I almost bought one because of it. Fortunately a CSAR came thru instead. Boy is my wallet still sore! LOL!

  • Hi Folks! Thanks for the kind words. Haven't any vintage watches to review....yet! But when I do I'll definitely put a video out. Stay tune!

    Cheers!

  • Nice review. Please do some more. How 'bout some vintage pieces if you would. Got any 6105's?

  • Great video. More please!
