@vancouburgh Find a club near you and get started A.S.A.P! If you catch off season, stay fit with inline, cycling, and running, and find any online information on technique you can. Good luck, and maybe we'll see each other there. ;)

@vancouburgh u need alot of commitment, you probably wont make olympics, but if u stick to the sport maybe u could be good, but miracles do happen, I know this guy called kevin jagger who skates a 40 second 500 in his first season of skating (long track).

Hahah, Colbert Report is funny enough, but let's straighten out a few facts. All visiting Olympic Speed Skating teams will be given practice times, and have many other opportunities to do so this year. So don't worry, everyone will be well prepared for the Olympics- hope to see your team there, and hope that we've already gained enough karma points from not winning medals at our last two games. : )
