  • Shame! This is a crowley-like sex magic ritual, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Gnosticism. Crowley was not a Gnostic and his beliefs were not even close. Early christian church fathers were successful in confusing Gnostic practices with other mystical groups that did engage in body fluid based sacraments, (which enabled the prosecution of Gnostics as heretics) and if they were alive today, the disinformation contained within this video would have surely made them proud.

  • 93! even after over 20 masses, as part of the congregation or also as deacon, I still enjoy the beauty and power of the ritual. There is no part of me which is not of the gods. 93s and fraternal greetings, Frater GML Hoori Sakhmet Oasis OTO

  • does anyone know who made the music for that excerpt ?

  • @Klaudus50 I provided the music for this clip. The piece is called "Twilight", and it will be available on an upcoming release from Anima Solis Music. I hope you enjoyed it! --David Shoemaker

  • The Gnostic Mass is a celebration of the PRE CHRISTIAN THEOLOGICAL outlook of the first pagan Gnostics of olden times!Any attempt to compare it to Christian theology is quite immature, indeed!

  • This is a farce of Gnosticism. There is NO historical base for this ritual. The sign of the cross was made many times, yet we Gnostics reject the humanity of Christ and do not celebrate His death and only see His ressurection as a symbol, as His spirit being the first to be freed from matter. The Ancients, the first Gnostics, believed the key to Gnosis was finding the divine spark of the Creator within you, and realizing you are a trapped spirit that must be freed. I don't know what this is..

  • I agree with you fully.

  • @PoisonedOath maybe it is the sign of the cross (+) not the sign of the crucifix your seeing? And how far back do you have to go to call it historical?

  • @PoisonedOath it is about the same. Finding the divine spark inside you. It is not a farce but a modern version and a valid system of gnosticism for thousands of people/hidden gods on this planet.

  • @PoisonedOath The ritual was written for a descendant organization of the French Gnostic Church of the 1800s. A little research is not a bad thing.

  • Now this is how to make a video about a Ritual, perfect; the music totally evokes the moments divine; brilliant, what more can be said?

  • gorgeous.. great vid. 93.

  • I think this is a Thelematic mass more than a Gnostic ritual. I study Crowley, am an initiate in something which I can not speak. From my understanding of the Gnostic text, it is the earliest for of Christianity.

  • Aleister Crowley was a degenerate.

  • 93 all,

Just to be clear, no matter what anyone else says here, the Cakes of Light in any Official celebration of Liber XV*** MUST CONTAIN EITHER BUTCHER'S BLOOD (farm blood), OR ASH FROM CAKES MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LIBER AL 3:23-25*** Any presentation of Liber XV that is offering "Blanks" to the congregation is in direct violation of current E.G.C. guidelines. If your body is doing this, the clergy should be prompted to contact their Supervising Bishop immediately.

  • I have absolutely no idea what's going on, but this is very cool to watch.

  • ho yeah! Wasn't that great!! XD lol

  • Agape!

  • Jeg tror jeg lasta ned noe fra AC en gang, hvor dette var med. Skal se litt rundt. Tror TH fikk det av meg...

  • My major problems with the EGC mass:

    (1) it's a Marilyn Manson style ripoff of Catholic liturgy;

    (2) the priestess is, without exception, physically hideous -- her disrobing does not in any way provide a moment of 'erotic beauty'

    (3) the 'cakes of light' recipe usually involves semen or menstrual blood. Yuck. I would prefer not to eat yr spunk.

  • 93.

    skanermermaid,

1, the Gnostic catholic mass was written for about 100 years ago, that predates manson by a few decades =P

2, erotic beauty is not at all the point of the mass or the role of the priestess. "...is all power given" (Liber AL, 1:15). On another note i find them not only beautiful but also radiating beauty. That is my personal opinion.

3, It is true that cakes of light can be made with semen, menstrual blood, blood etc. but its NOT USED in a Gnostic mass. Only for personal use.

  • Point 3 is incorrect actually. Blood is regularly used in cakes of light for public celebrations. It is optional according to the EGC manual, but our cakes usually contain biological matter. However, cakes are made in this manner, and then are incinerated to ash, and a small amount of that ash is then added back into a fresh batter. This prevents pathogens of any kind from infecting anyone.

  • point 3 is correct. cakes of light do NOT have semen or menstrual blood. that is a fact! do not misread what I wrote.

  • Not sure why this was addressed to me(it came to my inbox) but you are incorrect.Cakes of light indeed may contain menstrual blood. They may also contain a mixture of seminole fluids. They may also contain butcher's blood. Please see the E.G.C. Manual. Some used to mis-interpret a line in the manual as if it was optional to prepare the cakes properly, but this was only a loop-hole, and has recently been revised so that the cakes MUST contain either Butcher's blood, or be made according to Liber Al

  • Therefore, if your body is presenting "Blanks" to the public, I suggest you contact your supervising bishop to clear up this point. The Primate has made clear that there are "NO MORE BLANKS" allowed.

Contact me if you have any questions about this.

    93 93/93,

    Oz

  • Point 3 is correct, unless you can't tell MENSTRUAL blood from animal blood.........

  • Responding to Skanemermaid's (3)"problems"

1)Catholics didn't invent symbolic libations/resurrections or most of the Gnostic mass....read the Gnostic mass..it's online.

2)The Priestess's beauty is subjective, as all asthetics. I like the female form.

3)The 'cakes of light' do not have semen or menstrual blood. -Enough said.

  • Actually, Aleister Crowley is a thelemite. Alot of his ideas have alot to do with Gnosticism.

  • @LedahX Christianity has a lot of do with Gnosticism in fact almost all modern religions have heavy influences from Gnosticism. In fact the way the early church defined Jesus as God they had to steal the Gnostic term Hypostasis.

  • Sadly most comments here simply argue semantics and rhetoric. The point is to embrace the timeless erotic beauty of the Gnostic Mass as delivered by Therion666. If you have not done so then participate in the Gnostic Mass; learn it and quit whining about whether it's gnostic or Gnostic.

  • Amen Brother, Amen in the Name of IAO

  • we respect all human rights in my neo gnostic faith.

  • Its true this is not gnosticism this is thelema though some consider thelema to be a modern version of gnosticism, the reason I called crowley a true gnostic is because if you look at his system it has similar teachings to that of gnostics, and it just bugs me to see dudes from samael aun weor's 'gnostic' group coming and acting like smartasses and calling someone you admire a demon and a worshiper of the demiurge and satan. Even though they are just talking bullshit and feeding their ego.

  • Crowley was a great man, but his methods were too polemic, even today. But we must remember that he fell, and did not could "cross the abyss".

I Fell sorry for the people who call themselves Gnostics and mess up with the name of Samael, who was a great man. Its better don't talk about things that we don't know. Crowley was a great ressearcher of occultism and a awesome teacher. "Agape-Gnosis-Thelema"

    Love, understanding, and will.

  • 93,

I myself think that crowley as a human was an asshole, but If you look into his writing you find something much greater he was crowley the prophet. But what you are saying bentonoise is in my opinion correct, crowley fucked up as a prophet of the new aeon because of his own ego but so did so many others he was just more famouse for it. Crowley was a prophet intoxicated as israel regardie called him.

  • a gnostic would probly look more like a christian mass then what is portrayed in the video. gnosticism is not purly a christian belief, there are many forms of gnosis. surly Valentinianism was christian, but there was also persian, egyptian, judaic influeces as well. the demiurge of the gnostics was not connected to the devil, its more akin to the demiurge of Plato.

  • I beg to differ, the demiurge of plato was the antithesis of the demiurge of the gnostics, the neoplatonist viewed the demiurge as an omnibenevolent architect and they would associate him with the god zeus, while the gnostics viewed the demiurge in a completely different light, they saw him as the personification of evil(the devil), just remember that the demiurge corrupted a piece of the pleroma and made it into the material.

  • Just read the gospel of eve.

  • "they saw him as the personification of evil(the devil"

That is a generalization, not all Gnostics considered him evil, the Valentinians had a fairly positive attitude towards him.

This idea that the Gnostics believed the world was evil, comes from the anti-Gnostic texts by people such as Tertullian and others, it simply does not jive with the majority of Gnostic scriptures.

  • Are they any actaul gnostics here? it doesnt seem so by these comments, ive been studing gnosticism for several years. first off crowley was not a gnostic, crowley practiced sexual magick, for the most part sex and procreation were frowned upon by most gnostics. the idea of gnostics as deveiant practicioners of perverted sex orgies is purly christian propaganda.

  • First of all your intolerant for what other people consider gnosis, clearly you have studied certain gnostic sects but you should remember that there where many others and some practiced sex magic, if you would read something by aleister crowley then your harsh opinion about him might soften.

  • I'm a Christian Gnostic, I'm studying Gnosticism and am very new to it all, but am growing to believe it, it just makes sense to me. I've been reading the Nad Hammadi in particular, and don't see how Crowley came up with this stuff, but I'm still looking into it. I relate to Sethians and Cathar's except I don't think Satan was the Demiurge, I think Satan/Lucifer was a lower Archon of Earth Created by the Demiurge.

  • Gospel of Eve....besides depends on which Gnostic sects you're talking about. They differed greatly.

  • 93,

Aleister crowley was in my mind a true gnostic in his writings you find that he just hated hypocrisy, the hypocrisy of the so called christians who live a life far different then they're prophets then are quick to point the finger at someone and call them heretics. please tell me werent the gnostics enemies of what we call now to be christians, just look at the cathars who use to say the being known as jehova was the devil.

  • 93! :-)

    fraternal respect!

  • This is a movie that would be nice for television or mtv.

Gnosis is the teaching from christ and has 3 factors.

Death of the ego (also the mystical pride ego that would want to make these video's) birth of the beeing. (by means of sexual transmutation, alchemy) and sacrifice for humanity.

    This is just sensual fantasy

  • Gnosis means spiritual knowledge. Gnosticism existed before Christianity...at least 300 years before if I remember correctly. There was a pagan Gnosticism before there was even a Christ.

  • Sorry smokeangelca about the Crowley bit. Crowley was clearly Non christian, in his own words Crowley described Christianity as a slave religion. Gnosticism is a christian beleif, seeing Jesus Christ as the bringer of Gnosis towards the goal of salvation , Crowley was almost entirely opposed to this, he encouraged the and carnal knowledge of the demiurge(satan)

  • Crowley described the Mass as representing "True Pre-Christian Christianity" ie that Gnostic Mystery religion that wound up having all the Hellenic Neo-Dionysion "Sparagymos" tacked on for the convenience of the Church. Not all Gnostics were ascetic, some were quite the contrary.

  • Gnosticism is not a Christian belief. Study a bit on Gnosticism. It existed before Christianity.

  • Great!

New aeon of Pandeanomiaeon Of Kali Yuga!

    93

  • Blessings to you, brethren. Crowley would be proud. This was truly beautiful, and it helps me to not feel so alone on my Path. Thank you.

  • In the Bonds of the Order

    AMEN

  • I liked this. A very beautiful depiction of The Gnostic Mass. Thanks.

  • this is false.justcause gnostisism are a inutuitive dance for all to travbel theres no need for this strange rites as they are not aware of the within. Looking outbound for what you have gnosis?? strange. never needed the highest unknown send stress and tensions like in this childish opening to demonisise gnosis.impotent catholics .
