Holy crap! That sounds excellent! That is my favorite year for the chevy bel air's.

My uncle had a black one when I was a kid and used to visit us. That was when I fell in love with that year.

i wish i could go back to 57 brand new and everything. mustve been sweet. and i just picked one up myself for 1000. and it isnt even a rust bucket! it is a 2 dr hardtop. what was ur uncles? when u were in ur uncles was it new?

My uncles was a 2dr hardtop too. I had just purchased my fisrt car which was a 1974 Pontiac Firebird so the year was 1982. I was 16 then, lol.

Ever since seeing a 57 in person I was hooked. My friend has a 57 Nomad which he is currently restoring. The paint is like a yellow/oringe blend. He said the name but I forgot the code.

if it is serra gold it is paint code 818 and the nomads were worth alot and are rare

His 14 year old son is restoring a 67 camero.

oh nice. im restoring a monte carlo... had a 68 camaro but it was not even worth fixing up. it got wrapped around a telephone pole

im a big fan of the 427 rat in 67 to 69 they were rated at 435 h.p. but that was only for the insurance companys they weere more like 475h.p. now thats what a motor should be! beautiful car,id like to see some video of er at the track :)
