  • Honest question, how do you NZ military like the AUG style rifles? I understand that the bullpup design has some off-hand shooting issues, but I'm curious about first-hand opinions.

  • @PingOnThis The Steyr is a very easy weapon to use. Its shorter than most assault rifles due to the bullpup config. The working parts and mag are in the stock of the weapon, therefore the barrel is seems shorter but isnt. Because of this it can be used to great effect at range and close quarter battle. Its light, accurate and robust.

  • @PingOnThis Horrible muzzle rise, horrible to reload. AR15 is much better.

  • @PingOnThis Like drinkyruns said, easy to use, easy to learn and reliable!

  • The 4 people that disliked this video, obviously have never appreciated the work that people have to do just to get in the door

  • "and if the task is possible to undertake, they would achieve the achieved"; Wow, a bunch of Picky Scenarioistic cowards

  • @TheAstros5 Fuck off you stingy cunt! Stop trolling! These guys are simply amazing !!

  • @millionzgp .........HeyFuckface....spit some of that sperm your father just shot into your mouth and rub it on your face. That might clear up your pimples you sperm-teenie sipping cunt!

  • @TheAstros5 I'm pretty sure he says achieve the objectives

  • British SAS FTW!!!!

  • have to be on the ball to get into the sas regardless if its NZ AU or UK

  • NZSAS, AUSAS, SAS. Same name, same beret, same cap badge, different government.

  • @badd3sl3y AUSAS is actually called SASR haha

  • @Killingzone99 yeah ment that :p we dont really say SASR in the UK though we say AUSAS because we have SASR as reserves. Forgot about that haha

  • This video is popular on Micronesia

  • Although I with the USMC. I used to be with the RNZIR, 3rd Battalion. Charlie Company.

I was in Charlie Company for 4 years, before putting forth an application for the USMC.

    Ngāti Tumatauenga - Semper Fidelis

  • @ebbett21 All they have passed is the selection process andproven their stamina etc.even after they are badged, they are still susceptible to being kicked out if they are found wanting in any area, up to12 months so they're not completely out of the woods as it were. It's not unusual to see some that have past the selection process and then sent back to their original units for not being up to scratch in a particular area/s conducive to combat roles.

  • Your vid is popular on Saint George's

  • All you people bagging each others countries are forgetting that these are the people who fight for you.

  • Aren't we all adults? Why is everyone arguing. Let's just watch the video and talk about it..

  • so much love in here

  • lol british and US are the 1s who started this bullshit war,so many of you cunts dying ,OIL hungry fukers:) the ANZACS are there jus to pull your dumbasses out of the shit! Fuking idiots hahahaha!

  • the NZSAS and the Australian SAS are like a great son the British SAS brought up and let go. Idiots from the UK (I'm from the UK) and idiots from NZ and idiots from Australia bitching over who's got the better unit when they all forget we're the same blood. We sent the hardest mean mother fuckers from the UK to populate Australia and NZ and look at the outcome. a bunch of tough cunts and i wouldnt have any better allies.

  • @Glaswegianmark fucken right on Brother!

  • @Youaresofullofshite LOL Fuckin Aussies

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 who cares about the aussies i saw them run with their tail behind their leg after the bali bomb and also they suffer from Megalomania

  • @Glaswegianmark Your Awesome

  • It's unfortunate that New Zealand has allowed the rest of its military to be so significantly run down, and left the expensive capabilities to Australia to maintain.

  • well they have gandalf on their side

  • I know a bit about them, they suck. They couldnt cope in Afghanistan, had virtually no Helicopter ability of their own and asked to be withdrawn, They had to get "relieved" (Rescued) by some US Rangers, whrn they panicked after running into a small Talibsn patrol, took a casualty and taught they were about to be over-run. Laughable. These amateurs might have SAS in their title but they are nowhere near UK SAS. The fucking big headed Aussies have a slightly better unit but still badly equipped.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 Lol, it's so funny that you attempt to speak on this subject as if you actually know something about it, when you're actually just a second-rate art student who appears to have struggled to obtain even an undergraduate degree in the usual timeframe.

  • @disamjisa

From Scotland, UK let me apologise for that idiot whom was mocking the NZSAS. not only fot that but for calling them aussies lol. i know thats a great insult and I'll apologise for his mistake. like a good kiwi friend said to me during an argument.

"You can call me a cunt'

"You can call me a prick'

"You can call me an arsehole'

    "you can mock my mum'

    "You can mock my looks'

    "You can fuck my sister'

"BUT DON'T EVER CALL ME A FUCKING AUSSIE'

  • @disamjisa LOL Aussie living in London, Interested in American Politics, particularly Ron Paul. Ha Ha, Australia must be really shit if you want to live somewhere else and think about the next president of yet another country. You clearly no nothing about my Education, The Education System in the US or any other subject. Ha Ha London and Ron Paul...LMFAO

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 Australia is one of the best countries in the world. Amazing weather, Hot bitches, fuck all Dark skinned idiots, no religion and a strong currency...oh and no shit Yank pricks.

  • @Youaresofullofshite Dark skinned idiots? LOL you fucking Aussies are a bunch of racist bastards. Amazing weather?... California, Hawaii (the best surfing, which you try copy) No religion?.... why do you gleefully sing god save our queen? NO yanks, LOL everything in your country is just a poor copy of American culture, from surfing to AC/DC. Ha Ha silly Aussie, go back to the Ass-hole of the world, quite apt the Aussies live there. Wouldn't you agree?

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 It's hilarious how people who have never been to a country insist that they can actually express an opinion. It's like you're totally determined to show you ignorant, poor and deprived you are.

  • @disamjisa Ya it's as bad as people on the Internet who use tired old generalisations about Americans. I am truly sorry you feel the need to insult America, I mean whenever theres even a rumble of trouble, it's the joke countries like Australia and tiny tike countries like New Zealand who ask the US for Help. I have been to your part of the world....guess what? it sucks, As my British friend says "the kiwis and the aussies belong in the arse of the world, they are pieces of shit" LOL.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 It's not America I'm insulting, it's you.

Your opinion about Australia doesn't tally with the opinion of anyone I've met who has travelled here, so I think I can safely say you have not.

Regarding Australia and New Zealand getting into trouble, considering that it is we who support you in most conflicts, and not the other way around, I encourage you to pick up a book about postwar history and start reading.

  • @disamjisa LOL are you still crying about your shitty 10 man SAS. We don't need you guys. We have 11 carriers and the US Marine Corps. We just let you tag along because it makes it look like an alliance. LOL.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 It sounds like you're the one crying "No, no; I'm not a bog ignorant loser at a laughable university with no prospects, I *know* about strategic issues".

It sounds like you think I'll be impressed by your comment about "mak[ing] it look like an alliance, when it just confirms that you really have no idea why alliances are important, and that you really have no idea what happens outside your own country.

  • @disamjisa No it's definitely you that is crying " But we are a serious military power!!" LOL. I know more about strategic issues than you. I mean for god sake you are claiming that NZ and AUS "support" the US in post war conflicts? You are living in fan-boy fantasy land. Alliances are important are they? Ha, you claim to be on the know strategically, the only reason a UN or NATO alliance is formed is so it won't seem (as usual) the US is doing all of the fighting and are 90% of the forces.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 "I know more about strategic issues than you.", he thunders. And yet appears not to have heard the term Five Eyes, or understood its significance, or understood concepts of honour, shared history and language, a love of liberty and representative democracy, that binds five particular nations together.

  • @disamjisa "I'm a 24 year old Aussie living in London and working in the square mile. Interested in US politics, I'm a Ron Paul supporter." LOL go back to pretend intellectual land where pseudo libertarian thinking gains you feel good points. LOL The five eyes is a little known news bite that the leaders of AUS and NZ like to refer to so that they can feel in some way equal, when in fact they are very junior partners in any alliance. Finally though, concepts of Honour? LOL it's 2011 not 1811.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 (reply 2) Only morons with no concept of what actually has in the military plays these pissing contest games. Soldiers on all five sides have enormous respect for each other, and a commitment to the historical amity that binds them. That you could never understand.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 We have never asked you for help in a war, its the other way around. How old are you 12? Pick up a history book. Your army was a joke in Vietnam, the NZ army still laughs about it.

  • @AstronomySetMeFree Our army left Vietnam with a 20/1 casualty rate inflicted on the enemy, it was the South Vietnamese that lost it. Whats your country laughing about? you couldn't even dream of fighting a hot war like Vietnam. NZ doesn't even have a proper airforce (no fast jets) how would you have fought Vietnam LOL you would be all year deploying even 500 men, The NVA would have had air-superiority. You guys are a fuckin joke..Laughing....ya from the fence as you pick out the splinters. LOL

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 rofl please tell me you're kidding. "it was south vietnam that lost it"

  • @HCihaiJB Yeah, fucking gooks had no balls, weren't up for the fight, we left and it all fell apart on them. LOL, asians are poor fighters.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 What? my grand father fought side by side with the Americans in world war 2. why would you say something so horrible like that

  • @pleiadesatlas Shut you stupid fucking evangelical face.

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 I'm truly sorry you're an ignorant, small-minded, poorly educated "man". I know that not having a passport is probably a mark of pride in your mind, and despite fact you've never actually been to Australia and Britain (and probably never been outside North America) you feel qualified to speak on other countries, but I would urge you to remember that intelligent people can see right through your con

  • @Thespeakerofmanytru8 (reply part 2) You're never going to fool someone who has had a decent education, who is reasonably well-travelled, who is worldly, who has a scintilla of wisdom or learnednesss. I really do pity people who think they're coming across as intelligent, when they actually come across as an asinine crybaby

  • i,m english and have no doubt the nz sas is brilliant, but wish they hadnt let the cameras in,,,,,a bit of mystery and the unknown is very scary.

  • the 10 minutes is very easy..2.4 km. as its the first obstacle, it should be no problem.

  • Comment removed

  • How long do you think was the ten minute run? 4, 5 km?

  • @XcrinCro 4.5 km in 10 minutes! That's crazy! I know that here in Canada, the Special Forces standard is 2.4 km in 9:45, but more realistically like 8:30.

  • @sanscerveaux I just got the JTF2 Pre-Selection Pam from the psp staff. 2.4km JTF2 standard is min 8:15 in the pam on page 27. From what I am reading that is the standard for phase 3 of Selection. 8:15 is Crazy Fast and thats min standards during phase 3 not initial selection!! If your in an SF unit your def one Hard dude. Just FYI

  • @CrazyKreg Oh ok. I never went and got the Pam because they said it was only for people seriously interested in JTF2. On Soldier Qualification, my 2.4 time was 8:04 though. (I almost passed out.)

  • @XcrinCro 4.5 km in 1o minutes ? i doubt so maybe 25oo to 3ooo but 4.5 in 1o minutes is very extremely much

  • I bet the soldiers were pissed they were filmed on their training. That would annoy me.

  • Comment removed

  • Why would you apply for SAS if you cannot even do a 10 min RFL, that is nearly the minimum standard for the army, let alone the SAS

  • Side burns pisses me off!!!

  • @Legiontrackers2 how disgraceful! Sideburns are a fantastic addition to all haircuts, and almost a right-of-passage to the special forces! :D

  • @Richtigify Lol I just dnt really like the side burns thats all.

  • Is the NZSAS training any different to the British SAS training or Australian hope that's not a stupid question just curious.

  • @harrygorrod23 i think some of us go over to england to train i heard that the british and new zealand sas train together

  • @bahamut6667 british sas wrote the book every special forces in the world r emulated from these guys.

  • @teryfuckwitful

    Agreed

  • @teryfuckwitful Do we really need this patriotic dick-swinging? There is a great degree of respect between the English-speaking Special Forces units, and a recognition that each has certain areas of expertise.

  • @teryfuckwitful SAS has its Northern Ireland experience and can probably do intelligence-type work; SASR and NZSAS have an expertise in jungle warfare from Malaya, Konfrontasi and Vietnam that British units would not be able to match. SASR is renowned for its long-range reconaissance and deep penetration expertise.

  • @teryfuckwitful The only people obsessed with saying "My X is better than your Y" are people who have not been in special forces, and usually not in the services either.

Those who have served tend to have a great deal of respect for each others qualities and characteristics.

  • @disamjisa i have served u prick for 5 yrs.have you?

  • @teryfuckwitful What, as a cook? No one I know who has served has that kind of pissy, adolescent attitude about allied forces (or is obsessed with children's toys like Modern Warfare 3, for that matter)

  • @harrygorrod23 Similar. The enviroments and marches are quite different though. British SAS have the brecon beacons and scottish highlands, very hilly, wet, windy and cold. Australian SAS have deserts, mountains and heat. Newzealand have miles and miles of hill ridden bugger all, more similar to British but probally warmer. They are all limited to a certain extent by their geography in different ways. But they all train abroad in different climates if they dont have it at home.

  • @harrygorrod23 no not really... every sf unit in the world has selection and continuation training, and its all based uon stamina. every sf trains sorta the same

  • @harrygorrod23 I'm sure the SAS training in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand are the same. Theres only some difference of all three based on my research. British SAS has two reserve units (basically part time special forces soldiers); New Zealand SAS I think is full time (considering it's a small island), and the Australian SAS is the more absurd one because it has a record of volunteers who died in training than in combat and if you fail the selection course, you can't join back.

  • @harrygorrod23 I would say yes and know we have exactly the same structure and selction process and both are equally tough but the training of the soldiers are all done on different terrain and enviroment I guess you could say thats what seperates the soldiers.

  • @juliscipi Australia is mostly desert and has very dense jungle in the north. Australia has a huge coastline with many Gas and Oil rigs off its coast needing protection. Australia is also in charge of Antarctica militarily. Many NZSAS join the Australian SASR. Our soldiers are called Diggers and it is strictly known that they ARE NOT soldiers. They are also considered to be one, "ANZAC's". As for toughness it comes down to the culture. British SAS is 70% Scots. Australians are pretty hard nuts!

  • @jusryan13 Also Brit SAS is also about 70% Parachute Regiment.

  • @ghylltarvoke no they are not lol 45% of british sas are from the royal marines commandos, other big is paratroopers though yes

  • @HIghQuality101Fights actually 55% of brit SAS is paras. i think you mean sbs is marines

  • @harrygorrod23 They do differ from one another.

  • @harrygorrod23 well u must finish 20km in at least 5 hours 10mins and when u finish it SURPRISE you have to run a another 4 km to a pickup truck when you make it SURPRISE SURPRISE it drives away and you have to chase it................................................. only 3 out of 10 candidates make it in he SASR It has the 3rd most toughest Training

  • @Killingzone99 Hi mate you stated it's the 3rd most toughest training. Could you please kindly state what you'd put down as 1st and 2nd? I'm only beginning learn about these and am interested in knowing what's the toughest training program in the world. thanks.

  • @neoverine sorry mate i dont know but the spetsnaz have hardcore trauining

  • @harrygorrod23 Let me put it this way. Sterling formed the SAS with Jock lewes, an Australian. Sterling failed the 1st 2 missions and was then hospitalised for 6 months. Even then he was operating under LRGP. Australia and New Zealand STARTED special forces as we know it with "Z special Unit" which operated under its own SO Command. It was a mixed bunch but it started only 6months after Sterling started with LRGP. except this was a real SF unit and Destroyed entire Japanese fleets.

  • @jusryan13 Google "Z special Unit" and u'll see it was there long before any U.S or British special ops command ever started. Most of the NZ and Australian SF training and tactics stemmed from here. It was also a British operation in regards to the SO Command. Sterling worked with the desert rats and had no SO command. just a bunch of guys with new tactics. These guys were the real stuff and they were succeeding much greater deeds when Sterling was failing. Americans dont know much about this.

  • respect to the british sas nzsas australian sas and every soldier in afghanistan

  • HARD KUNTZ YEA MACHINEGUNN KIWI

  • I cant wait until i get tot do my selction course when i apply to do the NZSAS

  • Do they have fush and chups in their ration packs?

  • @MynameisElliott No, but do Aussies have Feesh and Cheeps in theirs?

  • @MynameisElliott what the fuck is fush and chups is that how australia says it because it's fish and chips here

  • how far did they have to run in under 10 minutes?

  • @hom3R1000 2.4km

  • Comment removed

  • @DIISTTRYR haha it may have sounded a bit sexist but how else can you put it? you cant argue with genetics :P

  • @DIISTTRYR No I don't think so. Men are genetically more fit and strong which is an essential requirement for working as a SF soldier :/ sucks but i guess thats just the way our bodies are men. males are just generally stronger than females.

  • I am Ex Australian Infantry, I never even attempted Selection for Aussie SAS let alone passed it! But having served with the Kiwis on both exercises and operations, going by these fine blokes in the RNZIR I have no doubt that the ones who pass selection and go onto the NZ SAS really deserve their place as one of the worlds premier elite forces!

    ANZAC brothers forever!

  • @australbanian

I was impressed at how albanias spec forces aren't even listed as a special force...

May I ask what you get out of cursing over utube. Oh. And by the way. Australians don't serve under the Australian flag. We serve under the commonwealth international treaty dumbass. And on behalf of the monarchy.

Albania serves under the sticks and stones they fight wars against homeless people and deranged dogs.

  • defence>defense

  • nzsas & sas are the best so shove it up your arse and eat it

  • Fucking brilliant. Right there. Glad to have you as allies. Taught by the British SAS and honestly, you look just as bloody good! Keep up the good work lads! Respect from the UK!

  • @australbanian

Well new zealanders may fuck sheep but they don't rant on over the net like a lonely

Coward called australbanian. Go and watch your own gay military if it's so good, what did your parents do to u. OH!!! lol sorry I forgot.

Your an Albanian. Isn't it traditional for Albanian parents to rape the kids to sleep.

  • Has anyone seen the British SAS selection process if so how do you think it compares?

  • @07dowlingj The former SAS soldier who writes under the name "Mike Coburn" has served in both the NZ SAS and 22SAS and says they are now basically the same.

  • lol newzealand bahahahahahahahhhaahah

  • @toogood6996 Australia LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • The Australian one looks so much harder to get in to

  • @brooksey97 they dont show the hard stuff you gotta do on tv ...so your point is invalid

  • @MrMrEvin well in the australia one you have had of completed the 21 day coarse and it looks almost impossible while this new zealand one looks very hard as well but its only for 8 days......its just my opinion that the Australian looks harder to get into

  • @brooksey97 makes sence to me haha. wow 21 days sounds pretty epic. i reckon an anzac special force would be pretty cool

  • @brooksey97 NZSAS selection is actually 13 days long as you have 3 days of pre selection before you go for proper selection you see here

  • @brooksey97

Australia doesn't have an army, it has a club.

  • @australbanian And with that club we will strike you down like the dog you are.

  • @australbanian shhhh

  • @brooksey97

A peasant can walk in off the street and become an SASReject, but since Australia doesn't have an army it has a club mentality.

Final conclusion: Don't stop fucking NZ sheep.

  • @australbanian I am an Aussie and have served in the ADF...you are a stupid wannabe loser cunt...fuck off and go back to $13.00 an hour job.

  • @Roddo08

You served in the paper-pushing and file a document club, mudda fukka. You fired a weapon and shit your pants in training. Then you took a pension. Nice try, faggot.

  • @australbanian Ah, no peanut...RAA. That is what I served in...by the sounds of you, you never served at all...well maybe serving beers in some dodgy dive earning $13 an hour...that would be about your limit. Dum ass.

  • @Roddo08

You drunk more beer than you soldiered, faggot. You served shit. You clocked on and off like a public sector fuck.

Now eat a dick before i slash your face with high-tensile steel, mudda fukka.

  • @australbanian You really up your dose of medication peanut...it ain't working...yeah, didn't think you would recognise RAA...knew you had never done a days soldiering.

  • @Roddo08

You served in a pig pit, eating shit and puking.

No one else recognizes you, mudda fukka.

  • @australbanian yea bro, it's been proven doubt that aussies fuck dogs as depicted on tv for all the world to see which is 20 times worse, dirty disgusting fuckwits and mongrels. Eat that.

  • The RSM in the sandy beret, is he ex-NZSAS?

  • @zekeboy24 , The elderly fellow you mean? not RSM Col. Angus Ogilvy ex CO of the Regiment and almost 45 years service to the NZSAS, 25 active. One of the most respected elders of the unit, has been an adviser and referee for the last15 years, a great mentor to the young ones, and a real gentleman.

  • Great. More "My country has the best special forces" arguements... Typical 14 year old Youtube arguements. Get a life, faggots.

  • @MadamKouassi

Fucking oath - Like anyone commenting has the slightest idea aside from a couple of films, books and video games they've watched, read and played.

  • @Griffinltd Exactly. Unless they have first hand experience they should just keep their mouths shut.

  • @MadamKouassi i agree with you

  • US government are the Terrorists, sorry guys but its true

  • @95USAhockey Haha, no, they are not. Arent they Tier 2 or what ever America calls it.Your Delta would be the best you have and they still pale in comparison to the Aussie and Kiwi SAS

  • @daaskapital1 No they're tier 1...True Delta and DEVGRU are the best of the best, but unlike the Aussie and Kiwi SAS, soldiers can't try out for them. Also, no. Delta and DEBGRU are best in the world.

  • @95USAhockey The Seal teams are tier 2 besides Seal team 6 which is tier 1. It doesnt matter whether or not you can try out for them. An SASR soldier would kill a Delta soldier in any form of combat, especiall reconnaissance. Did you know that your CIA asked the Aussie SASR to go into Iraq and Afghanistan BEFORE the war on terror even started. The reason they asked the SASR was because they are the best in the world at reconnaissance. After the SASR were in, your delta came followed by the brits

  • @daaskapital1 Whoa there chief, you gotta calm down. First of all, SEAL Team 6 is DEVGRU, that's why I said it. You obviously have a boner for the SASR, but need to realize they aren't the best in the world. I'm not saying Delta, DEVGRU, or any other branch of the US military is better, but you have no idea. Give me an example where an SASR soldier beat a Delta or DEVGRU soldier in battle. Prove your point. Delta and DEVGRU are not reconnaissance, they are counter-terrorism. Different than SASR

  • @95USAhockey Mate i am calm, no hard feelings haha. Im sorry that i mixed up some names. You clearly stated that the DEVGRU and DELTA are the best in the world in your first response to me. Okay, let me rephrase something. I think that America and Australia are equal in terms of SF. The SASR are Reconnaissance, Counter Terrorism and Body Guards. Both the Aussie SASRF and Commandos form part of CT, one for East and one for West. So yes, the SASR and DELTA can be compared in the CT department.

  • @95USAhockey just to correct you the SASR are a counter-terrorism force, the best.. im american and i have much respect for the S.A.S with out their influence, our special forces in this country wouldnt exist.

  • @95USAhockey oh and please read your history of elite forces.. S.A.S has been around since ww2.. more experienced.

  • global war on terror? lol no disrespect to nz sas or any other western special forces, but it is us who are the terror.

  • by the way according to Americans we do nothing

  • Love our Kiwi brothers...go the ANZAC legend

  • @ecnav1313 yes ex-service men are a key component in SAS troopers training as they have good experience and information to pass on.

  • Well I will withdraw my comment then. Apologies, but I was fully expecting some 12 year old with no manners and a short fuse.

  • @jesterinflames HAHAHA, you are a moron. These men are ex-SAS, and I would know, because ive seen them around camp. So go fuck yourself.

  • also what do they have to complete in 10 minutes a 2 mile run or 1 and half mile run?

  • @thefivefamilies1 it is one of the basic tests used in the new zealand millitary to test fitness levels the new zealand army fitness test only takess about 30 minutes to complete which consits of push and and sit ups and a 2.4km run about 1 and half miles.

  • Willie Apiata is the best reflection of nzsas one of the best Special Forces in the World. proud of u boys. thanks so much for uploading bro.

  • The guys who's faces are shown are NOT actors. I know this because I knew some of them (vaguely) during my time in the NZ Army. (I was not in the unit). The CO & RSM's faces are shown, but names omitted because They are not operational appointments. The others are either guys who missed out on selection or ex-NZSAS.

  • @jesterinflames

why would they put actors in a documentary about the SAS, the SAS isn't fake man, you learn your shit, or put the link in with the proof, nuff

  • @jesterinflames

no they are NZSAS men, they just tell how they experienced the selection course and the training. They are not actors, they just have stupid names to secure their identity.
