@AftershockPS3 I do the close HK to beat out crouch-teching opponents on wake-up and I can tell you that if you get A counter hit on it you have enough time to link. In the corner its very deadly! It already does allot of damage and if you see counter hit just double tap cr. FP (you can even double tap on pad kinda... just press FP first and then right afterwards MP, FP with your pointing finger and MP with your thumb) The combo is (close) s.hk, cr. HP (or MP) EX tatsu (+Ultra) SAFE ON BLOCK! :)

Also for Ryu players A few notes (might help): Learn to auto-correct, abuse Ryu's 3 frame MP DP (NO SAFEJUMPS), master auto-correct DPs, anti-air for longer range than your DP: use s.HP (s.HK if your reaction is really good+has more range!) If you're in the lead just anti-air with cr. HP to be safe, don't try to be the hero!
@kankerturk123 *extending post 2. Work cross-up tatsu in your gameplay (if you have super this is very deadly.. it combos). Work on your ZONING (Fireball AND footsies). The most basic way to tell you (but please do explore) is: DON'T THROW FIREBALLS WHERE THEY CAN JUMP IN AND 60% YOU kay? ^^ If you chuck fireballs from JUST the right range it will still be hard for the opponent to think what to do (this is what you want). Also try to mix-up on your safejumps, option selects. For example: instead

In AE has ryu's attack box been extended, I swear some of those punches dont' hit in the previous games... or maybe I just haven't played this in months.
@supercracker98 The cr.mp after cl.hk is character-specific and usually only works against crouching. cl.hk to sweep/cr.mk works on every character crouching in AE, and should work without crouching in 2012.
If you want something really wonky, cl.hk to cr.hp only works on some characters when standing and only if you empty jump into the corner against them beforehand.
hey, this is a great idea, I really like the concept, just starting by HK kind of eases the user in to combos, I wish you could teach us a little bit if ibuki next.

That's some nice combos with amazing damage! Is it punishable? Because if it is, we won't see too much of the close Roundhouse in tournaments. I'd definitely love to see somebody do the stun combo in a tournament :)
Will these still be viable in 2012? I didn't read all of the patch notes but I read something about the properties of Ryu's H Shoryuken being altered.
@Suenmk3 yeah you cant cancel the HSRK and it only hits once that also means that LSRK into HSRK is not possible anymore, nore the Ltatsu into HSRK (refering to the AE 2012 PC mod)

maybe not all but s.hk, c.hp should work against zangief and s.hk, c.hk against abel
i saw a combo video from snootch or smileymike a while ago with some combos like that in AE s.hk,c.hk will work against every char i guess because they fixed the frames from counterhit to normal hit.
Are these combos specifically for Viper, or do they work on other characters as well?
