@JEEPnF100 -- since I posted this, I also had the 9" axle rebuilt with a 3.50:1 ring and pinion. The factory Traction-Lock posi was found to be in great condition. This rebuild was also done by MasterShift, and I kept the 2.75 gear set.
I also put the original rear coil springs back in, and dropped the rear end about two inches. The low-n-slow look is nice.
The price, all upgrades and new parts considered, is $4950.
@denizen42 --- uh, a pair of straight pipes with glasspacks behind the 390, a Pertronix Ignitor, an Edelbrock 600 on a factory intake manifold, a nice low idle speed, bright yellow spark plug wires, and a happy attitude.
