  • It sounds like a virginia or carolinas accent to me.. tell me!!

  • It's not a regional accent at all. It is just your speech pattern with the slightest of lisps. But that is from mouth structure, not a region. Most Americans are pretty hopeless when it comes to identifying regional accents. It is usually the ones who have lived in many places that can do this.

  • You defiently have an American accent, and I believe that unlike what Polsaccharitus says, English IS your first lanague. To me it sounds like a mid-western accent.

  • I'm from the midwest, and when I moved down to Texas, I was consistently asked if I was from the North. I was also accused of being a "Yankee" a few times. X3

  • @irkofan in the midwest we hate those damn yankees

  • NOT southern....at ALL.

  • It sounds like a more like what some people would call a "nerdy" accent where I live. (Washington State)

  • Hybrid.

  • This is a highly educated guess on my part. Japanese(oriental) American with a lisp and occasion somewhat of a slurred speech but not southern slurr. Sorry if to technical but I am trying to help you understand and identify your voice. You have chacteristics within your pattern of your speech but I dont want to write paper.... everyone has unique voice.

  • Midwestern, countrylike accent

  • Well you ain't from the south ill tell ya that

  • My thought is that you might have been brought up in the picific northwest where we have more of a french canadian inflection to our speach.

  • Id say gay with a hint of homo

  • Comment removed

  • californian with chinese undertones, your mother is chinese

  • Midwestern. Definitely not southern.

  • I say Missouri.

  • you got ukranian accent lol

  • I don't think ur American... U read funny

  • It hardly sounds like you even have an American accent. Sorry, bud...

  • i havent seen ugly till ive seen ur face

  • Haha I can not tell!!!! I am from Texas and I do not think you have a Southern accent but I can not really tell what type of accent you have!!!!

  • You DEFINITELY do not have a southern accent.. I would say faintly midwest. Not Michigan though, that's somewhat localized. And I wouldnt say western because some of the words kinda curl on themselves. Somewhere in the midwest i would say, but I couldnt say where.

  • You sound just like my brother and he grew up in Missouri and California both for about 10 years.

  • Definitely not a Southern accent. Maybe the west or the midlands.

  • You definitely have a midwest accent. I grew up in the midwest, but now live in the south. You do not have a bit of southern twang to you at all, pure midwestern.

  • either illinois or the bay area...

  • @mt80008

where do you get bay area from? ... is it cause there's a lot of asians there?

  • You talk too fast to sound southern. You kind of have an Eastern accent, but definitely not a Southern.

  • If you have a southern accent than mine is hillbilly! You just sound American

  • You aint an american,i bet you never even lived in the USA,but nice trying though, try to relax and learn American consonant sounds.Americans don't spell every word while reading,we connect them with each other, there is when american consonants are heard visibly , i would say go watch another 1000 movies lol

  • it doesn't sound southern at all.

  • who told you you had a southern accent!?lol

  • pretty flat midwest. Not even fringe appalachian on midwest borders-big problem-is not accent-but rushed reading-trying to do a dramatic reading??

  • @mmaurer76 : yeah, the accent is a bit flat.....what do you think...the MICHIGAN area. People from michigan have a pretty neutral accent

  • @inkey2 = No way. I live in Michigan, and I can pick up an accent on him. Does sound kinda like a Chicago accent, maybe?

  • Midwest accent/standard American.

  • nerd accent jk jk... mid-westish

  • midwest accent

  • lol I don't know what kind of accent that is I've never heard it in my life.

  • By no means am I trying to be offensive by it sounded like the "nerd" accent...but I think you shouldve talked faster so I could get a better idea...

  • Standard Broadcast American English...

  • you could fit in anywhere in the states with that accent. every once in a while it sounded kind of surfer/californian

  • i think you just have a little lisp. im not good at accents but i have a lisp a little bit and people have asked me where im from and they think its south but im from michigan. just a guess though.

  • metrosexual accent

  • I agree...but he has some latin accent mix

  • not midwestern, not new york, not southern or texan. not east coast, not west coast..honestly I do hear a bit of something but I cant really identify what region youre from. There is no such thing as not having an accent though.

  • Nothing distinguishing about your accent.

I was born in Texas, and you definitely don't sound southern, but my family is from New York, and I'd be able to tell if your accent was more Northern.

    Straight up generic American.

  • go hung dude

  • Generic American.

  • you have a very basic american accent.

  • You sound pretty normal to me and I've lived in Las Vegas, Nv. My entire life, my mom is from New Jersey and I could hear her accent and I make fun of her when she says Coffee haha. "Coafee"

  • kind of southern

  • I'll tell you this, English DEFINITELY NOT YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE, LOL!

  • sounds like a light boston accent to me...

  • Texan i should know cause i live in texas but he does sound kinda gay

  • you dont have an accent

  • You actually don't have to read. Just speak and we can determine it. You sound stupid reading, you're making it harded for us.

You're like me reading. LOL. I'm Filipino by the way and I don't usually speak english.

  • Midwestern

  • and then in like the middle it was all mixed accents.

  • noo at the start it was midwestern. believe me i live in indiana..

but when you started reading it was more southernn.

  • sound like a twat to me

  • hell naw son that aint southern....u stress your vowels too much to be a southern accent....sounds like a yankee accent to me

  • I heard a whole bunch of different accents when you were reading, but I think generally, you sound midwestern.

  • gay accent is gay

  • is every fucking thing gay? dammit

  • Were you born in the States? It sounds like maybe English isn't your first language, because there are hints of other accents in your speech.

  • you sound gross and uneducated.

  • okay seriously, i thought you were american in the beginning, but when you were reading, it sounded like you took a whole bunch of accents and mixed them together.

  • you sound normal to me, i lived in central cali, arizona and now am in minnesota and you would sound normal anywhere, except the eastern seaboard.

  • midwestern

  • whatever..waste my time...

  • not a new yourk accent, but deffinitly northern. maybest northern virginia, maryland.

  • i dunno wat the hell kinda accent that is but it is definitely not southern

  • you sound stupid

  • your accent reminds me of illiterate people

  • Learn to troll better. C'mon, I know you can do it! =)

  • @Irvin700 haha. Pwned.

  • You have a standard American accent.

  • ummm... you sound normal.....some of your words sound like your from boston and other words sound southern, but yeah...ur accent is preety standard...

  • hahah good job editing that part out loool

  • im from alabama...and i'll let you know that it doesnt sound southern. sounds like youre faking your i's and making it sound like ah, and there is no drawl whatsoever.

  • I have no idea ._. It sounds really southern, but there may be a hint of New York accent.

  • I'm from West Virginia and I'm not sure what My accent is. (and it's not southern)

  • you sound kind of southern. I'm southern. You make your vowels long and you say "ah" for I, which I do too. You sound normal to me, like you don't have an accent, so I'm pretty sur eyou sound southern:P

  • I got something uplifting for ya.

    Listen to:

    Lewis Grizzard - Southern Language.mp3

Search google for that and click on the 5th link which says "Index of ./mp3/"

    Regards

  • I'm originally from TX and now living in Cali. I can hear differences in the speech here though. You have some southern influence. When you say "I" it kinda sounds like "ah" which is pretty southern. I think that's the only sound htat makes it southern as well as a drawl you speak with from time to time. I heard that same "ah" sound when you said "behind" (said in the video: "behAHnd". Hope it helped.

  • I think you just have regular-ass American accent if that makes sense... Haha.

  • O.o

Okay, I'm from the north west, and I can't make heads or tails of your accent. It certainly isn't southern (all that much, at least). Sounds rather like the Toronto accent (my cousin's from there). So I suppose you're from around the Great Lakes region?

  • You certainly have a bit of a drawl in your speech pattern, which might indicate a Southern influence in your accent. But the way you say certain words leads me to think upper-midwest (Chicago?) ie: "I searched dee internet..."

  • sounds like chicago to me

  • Nevada? Kansas? midwest area

I grew up in Georgia and now live in Oklahoma and that is not southern. So I hope that narrowed it down for you :)

  • you sound pretty average american to me but ive lived in the usa my whole life and i have no idea what a midwest accent is all i know is southern, new york, boston, and normal. :/

  • I'm from California and you sound Californian to me... but, there's definitely a hint of the New Yorker in there. ( ;

  • Dude i'm sorry but you need to learn how to read

  • I don't think you're American. I think you are somewhere from Indonesia or Singapore or maybe Malaysia and just have a real good (I mean real good!) feel for accents.

  • believe it or not, he can't be from the midwest. he has a nasally flat voice, that only michiganders have in the midwest. he cannot be from ohio. ohiowins do not have a nasally accent. they sound a lot like they are from chicago, but with a slight southern twang. not from indiana, their accents have a lot of twang and is very deep. those from northern illinois have a clear deep voice. many do sound like chris farley and mike ditka. he does not sound anything like that.

  • In the southern part of Ohio, the accent is very similar to West Virginia and Kentucky right across the river.

  • before you started reading i would have guessed you were from california, then it sounds a little bit like you're from michigan. that's the only midwestern state that you sound like you could be from. other than that, you can't be from the midwest.

  • all americans have one thing in common.. we lengthen our "a". Both north and south accents have some sort of twang.

  • Northern Midlands mainly. Mildly annoying with the screeching long [ae] for short /o/. But sometimes you pronounce long /o/ New York-style, which I assume is a secondary influence.

  • stroke induced drool

  • not close to southern.

  • suburban american accent

  • Hey, I tried doing the American accent in my channel. Can you tell me what you think? I'm trying to get feedback. Cheers ~ Pingu

  • Alanta? I would guess you grew up in the mixed racial family.

  • Floridian/Cali w/speech impediment and can't read well

  • To New Yorkers, every accent that's not theirs sounds southern. I should know, I am a New Yorker. I know that's a generalization, I'm sorry. It's just what I have observed. You see I was born in NY, moved out, then came back 7 years later. I lived no where near Southern USA, yet for some reason-according to my NY friends-I have a southern accent. I don't have a southern accent. It is as if to them, there are only 2 accents in all of America-New Yorker and Southern.

  • =/ I'm from NY and even I know there are more then two accents in this country. Theres NY, North Jersey (similiar to NY), Philadelphia, Boston, New England, Valley Girl, Southern, etc.

  • That's not what I meant. Of course, they KNOW there are other accents out there, but anyone that doesn't have a general American accent sounds MORE southern than they do; therefore, all accents are SOUTHERN to them. NY is just an example though. There are other states like it. It's hard to explain. Have you lived in NY all your life?

  • southern new england..most likely southeastern CT..new london county..lol i think.

  • NorCal?

  • Bay Area, mabey...

  • That's kinda what I was thinking. I didn't want to get too specific though.

  • Gay? lol

Seriously though, just an accent. :)

  • Midwest accent.. pretty sure

  • definitely mid west

  • California?

  • midwestern

  • i am from PA and i think u are from northeastern accent

  • You have a Pennsylvania twang with a touch of the south, and some unkown component. If it were not for the "unkown" I would say West of Phillthydelphia and just cloes enough to Cumberland County PA to pick up that Shenendoa Valley VA southern part. Mid aged to ancient Cumberland County PA residents can and are easy taken for Virginians.

  • I would say midwestern. Definentyly not southern

  • Yeah i'm going to say that's more of a New England accent. A lot of people in Massachusetts (outisde of Boston) speak like that. Its basically Northern, actually. From like New England west until maybe about Ohio. You could pull off any town in that area

  • it just sounds like a standard, teenage american accent. lol. all of these people are naming specific states and regions. lol. it's standard, dude.

  • wisconsin? michigan?

  • ohio?

  • iowa

  • midwestern

  • Sounds like Mid Atlantic, midwestern. Definitely not Southern, or NE. Not Chicago or Northern either.

  • umm, more of a mid state. like virginia or kentucky. I'm from south carolina and I sound more drawn than that.

  • yeah, west virgina or kentucky. Yes, it's southern.

  • virginia, northern

  • Sounds like Kansas to me. Kansans often have bits of southern influence in their speech, but it's not a true southern.

You could also be Northern Virginian, a Marylander, or perhaps Northern Californian.

  • thats bullshit accent

  • hey im from the deep south & u DONT sound southern at all...but u dont sound really northern either.

  • no idea where you a from but that is a major american accent lol cool

  • i really cant tell , but im sure people can tell im from new york, brooklyn to be exact

  • midwestern accent definitely. Sounds like a mix of Kansas and California.

  • Not South..im from canada n' i think his accent is probably Boston or maybe Kentucky.

im not quite sure. its good american accent anyway even if it sounds out of breath.

  • Not southern. But a good American accent.

  • I don't know what kind of accent you got but i do know u gotta wax that uni-brow!! good god damn man.

  • It's not an east coast accent.

It sounds more like Cali, near the SF Bay area.

  • Your very nasally + asian? + a standard punkA young person AMERICAN accent.

  • u sound filipino in an american accent

  • I'm from georgia and your accent isn't southern. It sounds like your words are not really flowing together. so i would work on that. But over all your american accent sounds like the 'standard' american accent.

  • NOT southern. NOT newyorker. NOT boston. possibley new england (thats what i have), but im not sure. you just sound normal...

  • ugggghhh shit that was funny.

  • I'm from New York(city) and you don't sound like that at all. I'd say you sound like somewhere further up north like Boston or maybe Wisconsin. You're very nasal.

  • definitely not southern...

  • You sound canadian

  • Northwestern, definantly not southern.

  • I'm from the south and your accent isn't southern at all. Sounds like one of the northern accents.

  • I'm from minnesota and you sound like us...

  • hahah, californian!!!

  • I would say northwest

  • You sound like my old roommate from Ohio but he was born in Indiana...so...yeah, one of those two.

  • you sound almost exactly like people from my school; im from dallas, texas

  • make your voice deeper, speak slower, and try not to be so feminine. Your voice kind of reminds me of Steve Erkel.

  • hmm... i'm from PA and yea u have a diff accent then me. I'd be like '...wat?' cuz i have no idea about ur accent.

    its cool tho

  • you probably have an ohio accent, with New York being northern and you living near dayton which is more southern than ny ppl probably thought it was southern.

  • where in ohio? I'm from ohio to and I sound a little different so I was wondering if you're from southern or northern ohio?

  • I live in western ohio, near Dayton

  • This sounds about right... I live in Columbus, but grew up just south of Mansfield, OH (north central Ohio). But there really isn't an Ohio accent, but rather a Midwest accent. That is what I would say you (and myself for that matter) have. Compared to Metro NY you would have a more-southern accent (direction versus region), but not a Southern accent per se.

  • To be Honest, you sound like a Washingtonian from Seattle! Like me!

  • i don't know what kind of accent that is, i can't consentrate, your giant forehead is distracting me!

  • hahaha

  • Ohio

  • you are slow, you sound from the south

  • u kinda sound like me, im from chicago

  • Definitely not southern. It's definately northern, but not quite as northern as Michigan. I'll say Ohio-ish.

  • naw its definitely ohio

  • midwest, not too far out but ohio/indiana NOT minnesota

  • spot on, I'm form Ohio. ;)
