It's not a regional accent at all. It is just your speech pattern with the slightest of lisps. But that is from mouth structure, not a region. Most Americans are pretty hopeless when it comes to identifying regional accents. It is usually the ones who have lived in many places that can do this.
You defiently have an American accent, and I believe that unlike what Polsaccharitus says, English IS your first lanague. To me it sounds like a mid-western accent.
I'm from the midwest, and when I moved down to Texas, I was consistently asked if I was from the North. I was also accused of being a "Yankee" a few times. X3
This is a highly educated guess on my part. Japanese(oriental) American with a lisp and occasion somewhat of a slurred speech but not southern slurr. Sorry if to technical but I am trying to help you understand and identify your voice. You have chacteristics within your pattern of your speech but I dont want to write paper.... everyone has unique voice.
You DEFINITELY do not have a southern accent.. I would say faintly midwest. Not Michigan though, that's somewhat localized. And I wouldnt say western because some of the words kinda curl on themselves. Somewhere in the midwest i would say, but I couldnt say where.
You definitely have a midwest accent. I grew up in the midwest, but now live in the south. You do not have a bit of southern twang to you at all, pure midwestern.
You aint an american,i bet you never even lived in the USA,but nice trying though, try to relax and learn American consonant sounds.Americans don't spell every word while reading,we connect them with each other, there is when american consonants are heard visibly , i would say go watch another 1000 movies lol
i think you just have a little lisp. im not good at accents but i have a lisp a little bit and people have asked me where im from and they think its south but im from michigan. just a guess though.
not midwestern, not new york, not southern or texan. not east coast, not west coast..honestly I do hear a bit of something but I cant really identify what region youre from. There is no such thing as not having an accent though.
I was born in Texas, and you definitely don't sound southern, but my family is from New York, and I'd be able to tell if your accent was more Northern.
You sound pretty normal to me and I've lived in Las Vegas, Nv. My entire life, my mom is from New Jersey and I could hear her accent and I make fun of her when she says Coffee haha. "Coafee"
okay seriously, i thought you were american in the beginning, but when you were reading, it sounded like you took a whole bunch of accents and mixed them together.
ummm... you sound normal.....some of your words sound like your from boston and other words sound southern, but yeah...ur accent is preety standard...
im from alabama...and i'll let you know that it doesnt sound southern. sounds like youre faking your i's and making it sound like ah, and there is no drawl whatsoever.
you sound kind of southern. I'm southern. You make your vowels long and you say "ah" for I, which I do too. You sound normal to me, like you don't have an accent, so I'm pretty sur eyou sound southern:P
I'm originally from TX and now living in Cali. I can hear differences in the speech here though. You have some southern influence. When you say "I" it kinda sounds like "ah" which is pretty southern. I think that's the only sound htat makes it southern as well as a drawl you speak with from time to time. I heard that same "ah" sound when you said "behind" (said in the video: "behAHnd". Okay, I'm from the north west, and I can't make heads or tails of your accent. It certainly isn't southern (all that much, at least). Sounds rather like the Toronto accent (my cousin's from there). So I suppose you're from around the Great Lakes region?
You certainly have a bit of a drawl in your speech pattern, which might indicate a Southern influence in your accent. But the way you say certain words leads me to think upper-midwest (Chicago?) ie: "I searched dee internet..."
you sound pretty average american to me but ive lived in the usa my whole life and i have no idea what a midwest accent is all i know is southern, new york, boston, and normal. :/
I don't think you're American. I think you are somewhere from Indonesia or Singapore or maybe Malaysia and just have a real good (I mean real good!) feel for accents.
believe it or not, he can't be from the midwest. he has a nasally flat voice, that only michiganders have in the midwest. he cannot be from ohio. ohiowins do not have a nasally accent. they sound a lot like they are from chicago, but with a slight southern twang. not from indiana, their accents have a lot of twang and is very deep. those from northern illinois have a clear deep voice. many do sound like chris farley and mike ditka. he does not sound anything like that.

To New Yorkers, every accent that's not theirs sounds southern. I should know, I am a New Yorker. I know that's a generalization, I'm sorry. It's just what I have observed. You see I was born in NY, moved out, then came back 7 years later. I lived no where near Southern USA, yet for some reason-according to my NY friends-I have a southern accent. I don't have a southern accent. It is as if to them, there are only 2 accents in all of America-New Yorker and Southern.
=/ I'm from NY and even I know there are more then two accents in this country. Theres NY, North Jersey (similiar to NY), Philadelphia, Boston, New England, Valley Girl, Southern, etc.
That's not what I meant. Of course, they KNOW there are other accents out there, but anyone that doesn't have a general American accent sounds MORE southern than they do; therefore, all accents are SOUTHERN to them. NY is just an example though. There are other states like it. It's hard to explain. Have you lived in NY all your life?
You have a Pennsylvania twang with a touch of the south, and some unkown component. If it were not for the "unkown" I would say West of Phillthydelphia and just cloes enough to Cumberland County PA to pick up that Shenendoa Valley VA southern part. Mid aged to ancient Cumberland County PA residents can and are easy taken for Virginians.
Yeah i'm going to say that's more of a New England accent. A lot of people in Massachusetts (outisde of Boston) speak like that. Its basically Northern, actually. From like New England west until maybe about Ohio. You could pull off any town in that area
I'm from georgia and your accent isn't southern. It sounds like your words are not really flowing together. so i would work on that. But over all your american accent sounds like the 'standard' american accent.
I'm from New York(city) and you don't sound like that at all. I'd say you sound like somewhere further up north like Boston or maybe Wisconsin. You're very nasal.
