@madixon0002 No... actually, though both songs are very similar, and Mustaine did, in fact, write "mechanix," before Metallica wrote "The Four Horsemen..." they are still two different songs, due to having entirely different lyrics, meanings, and settings.

It's almost like in "hip-hop," with all the "sampling," except this time, one band has used and credited material created by a former member, who was, at the time of the creation of "mechanix," a part of metallica... IIRC.

@madixon0002 he didn't write the whole thing, and horsemen has that bridge with a different/slower tempo in the middle, not to mention the lyrics from horsemen are much better IMO. dave does deserve credit for the riff and arrangement(although i'm not sure if lars had any part in that since he arranges all their other songs, so i don't imagine this one is any different). so dave should receive probably 40-50% of the credit for writing this one. 60-70% if lars had no part in the arrangement.

Dave Mustaine is a brilliant dude but what he did with Metallica was two, three or four songs on Kill 'em all. The dude needs to get over the fact he was kicked and not base his entire life on Metallica that wasn't that huge when he was a member. It's not like he's doing bad with Megadeth.
