it's a bug in the imaging. it'd be more than 6 miles in height, yet very skinny. that's unreasonable for the age and harsh conditions of the mars surface.

You can find more , on the Moon ,if you " FLY " across the planet at 1000 feet or 300 meter , while viewing the Horizon.

I found " Pyramids " , five ( 5 ) of them , tallest 7600 meter or 22.800 feet !

3.000 feet shorter than Mount Everest !

But I´m not sure they are " Pyramids ". They can be Gigant Space Ships

it's a graphics error. In 3-D imaging, when you attempt to stretch out a certain area or polygon you can get opposite effects if you don't select it right. This picture appears to be a result of that.

It might be a basaltic protrusion through Mars' crust and the dirt that was surrounding it might have blown away. It looks like a vein leading to a magma chamber. Definitely not sure about the smooth slope at the top of the tower though, that one is odd.
