That's very perceptive of you. My mentor, Istvan Javorek, is from Romania. The high starting position engages the hamstrings throughout the movement, which many athletes neglect.
@nekcrank This is not Russianesk, if you watch the top lifters in the world do power clean, their pull is exactly the same they just use lower weight, thus catching it higher. Consult other videos at the very least. Russians around the world have put their head down in shame for that comment.
