  • Hi, All roads don't lead to God. Jesus was quite clear that no-one comes to the Father except through Him. I hear what you're saying about the nuns. I had one or two like that at school too! however we mustn't judge Catholicism by imperfect people who are within it. Everyone has shortcomings. Jesus said He who overcomes will be saved. I hear you loud and clear and I feel your pain. Don't let a few less than perfect people keep you from God. Lolly x

  • ¡Pero qué himno tan bonito! Adorad postrados este Sacramento...

  • guys c'mon a real catholic would never argue on youtube

  • how could the catholic church bge the truechurch?

i thought ALL roads lead to god. when I was little, we had nuns singing like this and beating the fucking shite out of us. they were very sexually frustrated nuns, every bloody one of them.

most, if not all, of them are now six feet under, pushing up next year's shamrocks.

    one true church? please!

  • @squirell1952 sorry, forgot to press "reply" in my just-posted message! Lolly x

  • Beautiful rendition! The only problem I have is that the Nuns who sing this belong to the Society of Saint Pius V, a group that doubts the legitimacy of our current pope and essentially has broken away form the church. not good :(

  • Ave Maria!

  • I cringe every Sunday at Mass when I hear the choir break into the Barney music that passes for our church hymns these days.

  • @engineerrobot I am a recent convert to The Church Jesus' True Church! Most people R ingorant to The Catholics but in heaven they'll see the Catholic Church as they never seen before! They may NOT have steped in one on earth, but they'll surely step in one on Heavens Ground! Paxti Dononi Christi!

  • Pax Domini Sit Semper Vosbiscum

  • This song is perfect, I love it, no matter what other thinks, I am absolutely convinced that he is Jesus and if there is someone who does not want to see, is not worthy of even pronounce the J

  • Beautiful. Thank you for posting this.

  • Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, misrere nobis.

  • HERMOSA MUSICA,HERMOSA INTEPRETACION,DIOS PADRE BENDIGA A TODOS.

  • Best version ever.

  • @FabinhoVicious You must be a New 0rder Catholic . Nothing beats the real melody . I like the way the Church does it every week at Benediction . Nothing needs to be changed . Remember what the saints said "Tradition" STICK TO IT and stay close to it . The New order has changed everything including the Bible . "sing in a new "church ?"

  • che versione sublime. bella davvero :)

  • très joli.....comment puis je, s'il vous plait, me procurer la partition de ce chant dans sa version pour 3 voix de femmes, que j'aimerais faire chanter? Merci à l'avance pour votre réponse.

  • gussy2103. One wonders if your comment is from son of satan. Ignorance doesn't recognise intelligence.

  • I am from Sri Lanka. Last Sunday in a small village, 32 KM away from Colombo celebrated the feast of Holy Spirit. Amen. Alleluia!

  • what a great work of the Holy Spirit in its Church. Amen. Alleluia!

  • I definitely agree with engineerrobot.Study before you judge, besides you dont know about our church.....We dont say ours is real church,Its about our faith,Its about believing in God and his plan for us all either we are sinners or holy.

  • This is sacred. We need more songs like this in mass

  • Absolutely Beautiful!!!!

  • The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit clicked the dislike Button.

    LOL.

  • @1243546576 WHat???? Blasphemy. This is one of the most sacred songs.

  • @cathofaithdef They always come to the Catholic pages...they never go to the atheist webpages or the songs where they are actually praising Satan (I had an acquaintance who listened to that stuff) or the rap videos with the naked girls and men saying obscene lude worldly (i.e. satanic) things. They come to the uber Holy Catholic songs and Catholic videos. What' with that? The Bible said we'd be persecuted. So when we are, I take it as a good sign, even if it does hurt. Glad I came home to Rome!

  • @cathofaithdef and seeing that most people don't know Latin, it makes you wonder how they find them. Do they go hunting for them or something? I can't imagine going to a video I dislike, not even to leave a comment. I mean, as a black person, I don't traipse over to the kkk videos just for a fun frolic and leave a few comments. I only go to vids I like and agree with because youtube is like tv...and people never watch shows they hate...it's a very interesting paradox.

  • @JFrancesFrancisJ exactly, the guy up there... came here... (not knowing most likely what the song means...)and leaves rude comments...

  • @1243546576 i don't think satan loves music. he is an accuser like you. fpeople of lie.

  • he who speaks against the holy spirit will not be forgiven......i would tred carefully brother/sister. Open your heart and mind

  • To learn what really happened to the Catholic Church after Vatican II; the whole truth about Fatima; who John Paul II really was; and more traditional Catholic issues; please visit the website, vaticancatholic, or youtube channel: mhfm1.

  • Wonderful!

  • we sang this or tried to sing this last night during the procession of the transfering of the host before the adoration

  • A deviL acciDentaLLy hiT tHe DisLikE bUttoN

  • @youteodz12 protestants... well thinking about it. it's the same thing.

  • Tantum ergo Sacramentum Veneremur cernui Et antiquum documentum novo cedat ritui Praestet fides supplementum Sensuum defectui Genitori, Genitoque Laus et jubilatio Salus, honor, virtus quoque Sit et benedictio Procedenti ab utroque Compar sit laudatio. Amen
  • Diocese of Toledo. There is One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. One True Church. One True Faith.

  • tán tụng hồng ân Chúa

  • Down with the NO! Restore the Tridentine Mass!

  • Tridentine Mass?! Down with that 16th century modernization! I demand the Liturgy of St. James throughout the world, its older, therefore better!

    (Obvious satire)

  • @Glorthac Either would be better than suffering with the NO...

  • Interesting, this song has the same tune as Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence! (the lyrics of which are from the 5th century, although the tune I'm certain is older)

  • @Glorthac Right, I remember this as Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence.

  • Brother I listen to this 4 times a day. Maybe 500 views are mine? Thomas Aquinas hymn now 750 years old is AWESOME

  • Beautiful! who are the singers?

  • in nomine dei nostri Satanas Luciferi exelsi

  • @SWDSnajper I don't recognize that word: ‘exelsi’...do you mean ‘expelle’ (the imperative of expello which means to banish or drive out). I’m still new at Latin, but an imperative would seem to be the correct form: “Be gone Satan in the name of God!”

  • We sing this every day in the Seminary...it never gets old! :)

  • @rogen80 where are you going to seminary and what diocese, i am applying to the Archdiocese of New Orleans

  • @TBGD005 Archdiocese of Cincinnati :)

  • Wonderful! Praise you Lord of all creation continue to fill our very being with your peace.Thank you for the Catholic Church. Amen

  • gussy2103 Apparently you don't know anything about the True Church, and you yourself are in a confused world. One who does not know about the Catholic Church and her teachings, which are within Scriptutres, is ignorant. However, if they are ignorant of the Church they are also ignorant of Christ, because remember Jesus and His bride are united into One, as has been the case in Genesis when one is married. So if you are calling this "trash of satan" you are calling Christ satan, which is ignorant

  • @engineerrobot dangerous too

  • @engineerrobot circular logic at its best

  • @gussy2103 Inspiration of God

  • @gussy2103 Back under your rock, heretic. You don't have the authority to make such pronouncements.

  • @gussy2103 so are you like a hard line fundamentilist or something? or even worse one of those sedevacantists

  • @gussy2103 Out with you, heretic!

  • CONFESSION , PENANCE , ROSARY

  • Çok güzel. Teşekkür ederim.

  • I just watched this three times in a row, truly wonderful. GOD Bless the Daughters of Mary, and may St Thomas Aquinas intercede for us. Amen.

  • Really beautiful.

  • Lifted my heart, truly beautiful and true!

  • me gustaria conseguir la cancion...como he de hacerlo? al poner tantum ergo, me salen todo tipo de versiones, pero yo quiero esta...

    gracias!

  • The tune is also used for the hymn, "Let all mortal flesh keep silence".

  • Beautiful voices!

It's nice to see the "word for work" translation. The English text that always appears in church keeps me wondering as I can notice that it is not exactly the same as the Latin.

    Thank-you so much for this.

    Dominus vobiscum.

  • bellissimo!! grazie!!

  • Hermosa canción!

    Saludos y Bendiciones

  • Preciosa música.

Disculpa los anteriores comentarios eliminados; pero debe haber un problema en youtube, porque no aparecían las palabras en el mismo orden que las escribo yo.

  • Comment removed

  • I can't stop listening to this.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • Beautiful variation

  • And be there blessing

    Procedenti ab utroque

And to the One proceeding from both

    Compar sit laudatio

    Let there be equal praise

    Amen * * *

  • Tantum ergo Sacramentum Therefore, to so great a Sacrament Venermur cernui: Let us venerate by falling prostrate Et antiquum documentum And let the old law Novo cedat ritui Give way to the new rite Praestet fides supplementum Let faith supply assistance Sensuum defectui To Our defficient senses Genitori, Genitoque To the Begetter and the Begotten Laus et jubilatio Let there be praise and jubilation Salus, honor, virtus quoque Salvation, honor and power also Sit et benedictio
  • It's not the two melodies that I normally hear with Tantum Ergo, but it still fits well! It just proves the versatility of the words. Well done, St Thomas. Well done, Daughters of Mary.

  • Beautiful, thankyou so much for sharing..

  • This was stuck in my head for some reason,

  • Thank you from Argentina for sharing this beautiful song!God bless you all!

  • This is lovely, thank you for shring this.

  • Lause tibi Christe for devoted faithful such as yourself; you are an inspiration as a Catholic as well as to all Christians on knowing the beauty and the bountiful riches that are within the language of the Angels as well as our liturgical history!

  • Amen

  • God bless †

  • I must recommend that all Catholics read the Summa Theologica. It is a most beautiful work, full of wisdom and truth. God bless us with His Spirit, and may all people return to Him.

  • Give us more & inspire us !!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • Very very beautiful.... the choir and the pictures too!

Do you know where I can find the score of this music (music sheets)?

Thanks a lot for sharing a piece of God's beauty

  • @Gianduzzo79 Hi, if you have the 'Catholic Book of Worship III' LET All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence' has the same tune... borrowed from PICARDY

  • So Sacred and Beautiful is this Hymn....

Thanks for uploading this video. :))

  • I love this hymn. Thank you for sharing.

  • That's the first time I have ever heard Tantum Ergo sung to that melody. It's beautiful, very beautiful.

  • Another golden masterpiece. A delight to the heart and soul. Well done, my friend. May Saint Michael always keep you safe. God bless you and your family.
