I don't think you understand what a comedian is supposed to be. A comedian is supposed to look funny. Have a funny face. Funny expressions. Look at Ken Dodd's face. That's a born comedian's face. Big teeth, the wide eyes. Even Bob Monkhouse, who was quite handsome, and didn't really have a funny face, had this certain look which would make you laugh. Peter Kay doesn't have that. He just has nothing. Like a lost look. Kind of arrogant and lost at the same time. He's a faker.
