I really love how the guy who played Dr. Horrible did kind of a Micheal Cera awkward thing, its really great... But sadly Penny pulls of the character so wrong, I'm sorry... And Captain Hammer is a great singer, but did you not have a muscular man to play him?
You're actors seem to be just reciting lines, more than listening to each other, and working off of each other. I know that musical theatre is different than regular acting, but there's nothing wrong with actually adding depth to a character, or actually having them reacting to one another.
actually, i really like this guys take on captain hammer, he threw in alot of his own personality into the character instead of copying it exactly...and he pulled off the character believably well! :)
Great job on the memorial interlude. It leaves ample time to dress Dr. Horrible for the part of having been thrashed.
That being said, why is he happy and sarcastic after just having the tar beat out of him?
Props for adapting this to stage and being a pioneer of sorts, but I think you (Dr. Horrible) missed the point of subtle humor. It's a little too over-the-top, even for stage acting.
Why is he happy and sarcastic? Good point. I think this is the only performance he did it like that. Brad DeBaise really likes this part, so I think he played with it each night.
He needed to put on his jacket for the blog where he complains about the relationship between Captain Hammer and Penny because Billy isn't suppose to be on the blog until the end.
I think by this point the audience accepts that he is Dr. Horrible when he is on the blog and Billy when he isn't. We did versions where we took more time for Brad to change into fill Dr. Horrible costume in this transition, but it kinda ruined the pacing, and I swear a few people had trouble realizing that they were the same character.
They got the ring tone. Hoe cool is that

Penny in this just annoys me...
she's supposed to have soft light voice, not the voice this actress has..

The actor playing Dr Horrible is WAY too focused on TRYING to be funny instead of giving the character justice and LETTING him be funny.
Its quite sad to see such a great character treated in such a way.

I love how the cowboys point at a member of the audience when they say "It might be yours".

I really like the idea of putting Dr. Horrible on stage and on a screen. It makes it look like a real blog.

The proejection display is excellent, I'm sure it will be a standard for anyone else who tries to adapt this. Great work!
