if its a bad gybe it can often swing back and hit someone, i've done that a few times, and its not very fun. Thats why that guy is holding the mast , he won't stop it but he can shout just before it swings, you can often feel the boat rock just slightly before it happens, also the guy standing against the boom acts as a retarder.

that was more of a tack than a gybe. mainsail was out of control. like dave said, not a good gybe at all

Dette er en god gybe!
ser ut som om det er 9-12 knt vind.
en) blåser kjøttet framover
to) tar kjøtthjørnet over og så
tre)OBS!! han holder det ned ved ripe, 1.5m bak fra baugen
4) ny-kjøttet blir løpet med bak over-
5) vinchen på, slipp kjøtthjørnet
3)- dette er god for lett vind- ikke på baugen fordi det fører til fylling på den nye siden
