  • it's good to see my Lao people looking happy here. :)

  • Very nice. Sad but nice. You sound ambivalent about the outcome. It must have been very hard for Chanya (and her biological dad?). I was adopted and met my family about 3 years ago. It was pretty easy, partly because talking was easy, we all lived in the same city (in Australia). Lovely place, lovely culture. Khob khun mak khrab.

  • Isaan people are the nicest people in the world

  • congratulations to Sonia (is the pronounciation Su nee?).i'm so happy for her.

  • Wonderful shooting. Congratulations to Sonia to find her root in Thailand. I'm also a Thai mom and just adopted my daugher from Thailand. She's from Esann also. Thank you for posting and wishing you all the best.

  • It's great that Sonia got to meet her biological father, and other members of her birth family. Looking forward to further installments.

  • This story may be finished at this point--but it was significant for all involved for better or worse.

The name is Chanya, pronounced "CHAN-YA." Thanks very much for your comment.
