Moghul records. Aurangzeb permantly parked his army in the deccan to subdue the marathas. Aurangzeb never saw delhi for nearly 32 years, his tomb is down south.

I dont really think their aim is to "dissolve" sikh faith, that is incorrect no one would support that. The point of RSS is only to unite every one of dharmic faith including sikhs. @MichToJoshya Khalsa fauj is not commanded by a King, if you know. It was Sarbat Khalsa's decision not to help Holkar. En I think that was mostly because of prior Maratha experiences Sikhs had. They were though of as undependable and politically motivated. Sikhs had yet to expand their control and yet to accomplish the ancestral goal of shutting down khyber. Helping tricksters who made many futile attempts of own punjab doesn't make sense to me. Sikhs fight for the weak and justice..thats it!!

En there is no doubt about sarbat khalsa meeting for the last time was a big memorable event, discussing this case. Also, there is an entire account by Hari Ram gupta and McAuliffe who lived and met Ranjit Singh, about how he makes the final choice.

I dont really think their aim is to "dissolve" sikh faith, that is incorrect no one would support that. The point of RSS is only to unite every one of dharmic faith including sikhs. Now you can't claim that sikhism isn't inspired from hinduism, since you find images of hindu gods inside golden temple etc.

On outside it may appear that RSS are detrimental to Sikh fate. but i assure you that is not their goal, that will NEVER be their goal.
If you really have some solid proofs of them trying to actually "dissolve" sikh faith, I think you should meet with your local RSS sangha chalak. I am very sure he will listen to you.
They do much good work man, dont blame them just for time pass, they have enough bad press from congress and muslims to begin with.

@jsksingh88 btw rss is very very DIFFERERNT than other senas. The goal of RSS is to unify subcontinent. On contrast each senas have their own goal. for eg. shiv sena thinks only about maharashtra and maharashtrians.
Alhtough RSS was started by a marathi man. They have helped sikhs during division, you should seriously ask some knowledgeable elder of your community.
Just because some hindus killed sikhs in 1984 doesnt mean all hindus are against sikhs. Those were north indians not marathas.

Sikhs were afraid that marathas would own them in battle, and signed a treaty with brits.

Apart from that Sikhs saved maratha women , that is good.

@MichToJoshya Khalsa fauj is not commanded by a King, if you know. It was Sarbat Khalsa's decision not to help Holkar. En I think that was mostly because of prior Maratha experiences Sikhs had. They were though of as undependable and politically motivated. Sikhs had yet to expand their control and yet to accomplish the ancestral goal of shutting down khyber. Helping tricksters who made many futile attempts of own punjab doesn't make sense to me. Sikhs fight for the weak and justice..thats it!!

Also initially Ranjit singh had agreed to help holkar, but he later didn't (due his uncle or someone).
Own punjab ? Marathas could have done that anytime if that was their goal. They had might to reduce abdali's army to nothing. Infact sikh empire expanded on power vaccume left by marathas.

The Maharaja, after consultation with his principal Sardars at Amritsar, in what is remembered as the last meeting of the Sarbatt Khalsa, only offered to mediate between Holkar and the British.

Sir P.E. Roberts states that surprisingly, the Jat King Ranjit Singh signed a treaty with the British on 17 April 1805, when they had nearly won the war. Due to this, Maharaja Yashwantrao Holkar had to leave Bharatpur.

When Ahmad Shah returned in March 1764 he was forced to break off his siege after only two weeks due to a rebellion in Afghanistan. He returned again in 1767, but was unable to win any decisive battle. With his own troops complaining about not being paid, he eventually abandoned the district to the Sikhs, who remained in control until 1849.

STUPID dialogue. Aurangzeb never spoke to Shivaji. Shivaji came to Aurangzeb's Darbar only once. Shivaji was given a seat in the third row of the Darbar (royal court). Many years later historians presumed that Shivaji felt insulted because of seating arrangement. Shivaji personally never said anything about it. It would have been uncharacteristic of a big man like Shivaji to talk like idiot.

There is no point arguing over the same issue over and over again.If they could attack Bharatvarsha 1000 yrs ago ,it was because we had no unity.If you want to bring back the glory our mother had once, Dear friends, Do a favour,DO NOT FIGHT AMONG YOURSELVES. Mongols,Kushans or Mughals could attack only because our land enjoyed a lot of prosperity and we ended up devoting our time building monuments thinking we were strong enough to combat our enemies..Don't you think it was a costly mistake?

We now have psuedo secularists who say that UID programme is antisecular!!! What is the point of having education, which would improve our economy , but not the love for this nation?I was talking to one of my friends ,about Adi Shankaracharya,she did not know who he was!!! Think about the education we are giving to our kids..Only one way out.. Women, empowering them and making them have same influence that Jeeja Bai had on Shivaji. That is the only way of invoking Shivaji in every one..

Even today , we have turmoil.. Wake up before its too late..Always have an enemy bcoz it will keep u on your toes.I dont think its really that difficult if Sanatana Dharma wakes up again.. which means we should wake up again.It is not a call against muslims or any other religion.This is for true INDIANS..Jai Bharatmaata.

@sm2411 Our ancestors made mistakes by fighting each other. We weren't united except during the time of Chandragupt, and Gupta Empire. After that there was not much unity. Blood thirsty barbarians started invading Hindustan. Thats when so many innocent people suffered and I want the people living in this day and age realize the mistakes that happened in the past, and never continue it in the future. India should remain one as its supposed to be since ancient times as our motherland.
