If a cop needs to respond to a situation, i.e. to book someone, he can and should park wherever he safely can. I think a handicap spot was a far better spot than in the middle of the street. This isn't some sleeping cop, or some cop not doing his job - he is clearly doing his job, and you are clearly desperate to blow a horn over nothing. Tthe cops made a motor vehicle stop in which they pulled their vehicles behind the suspect's vehicle. The cop moved his vehicle after the suspect was arrested and taken away in the patrol vehicle. The detective moved his vehicle into the only open spot which was a handicap spot so the vehicles parked could pull out and leave. He didn't have to do this until the scene was cleared.
There was a motorcycle cop who kept sitting on his bike on the side walk next to a freeway off ramp... After several attempts to report him and have him stop, my friend who is retired LA rampart division called to take care of business. When they replied it was easier for him to park there than on an area that was legal my friend explained that Police officers sometimes have the right to disregard the traffic laws based on situations and they have to make that call but they are..

the best part is the spot you say the cop should've parked in was just opened up after the truck left. Youhave to be on drugs to think you will win all these cases. @anthonyepd its called defending citizen's rights. By law, anyone can walk up, and ask for an officer to tell them why they are arresting the person they are, and ask for badge numbers and names. That's how accountability works.

"Booking someone" seems to be a non-emergency function. And if I remember right, police officers are hourly employees. I retired from a job where I was an hourly union employee; and when I needed to park somewhere to facilitate my job I did not park illegally. Tthe cops made a motor vehicle stop in which they pulled their vehicles behind the suspect's vehicle. The cop moved his vehicle after the suspect was arrested and taken away in the patrol vehicle. The detective moved his vehicle into the only open spot which was a handicap spot so the vehicles parked could pull out and leave. He didn't have to do this until the scene was cleared.

the best part is the spot you say the cop should've parked in was just opened up after the truck left. Youhave to be on drugs to think you will win all these cases. If you were in my state you'd be arrested for recorded a conversation without the cops approval. In fact, the camera man is within his legal right to film anything that does not have a reasonable expectation of privacy. If the officer had arrested him, he would have a lot of splanin to do Lucy. An illegal arrest would have resulted and that would be true obstructed the justice of the camera man. Then, charge the cop criminally + law suit.

"Booking someone" seems to be a non-emergency function. And if I remember right, police officers are hourly employees. I retired from a job where I was an hourly union employee; and when I needed to park somewhere to facilitate my job I did not park illegally. There was no incentive for me to break the law; a job takes a long as it takes...period. So, what motivation other than laziness would make this cop park illegally? Maybe he feels self-important? Dumb ass cops (like yourself) think you are above the law and in a time where the mini camera is king, not a smart frame of mind. Both of my vehicles are equipped with video and audio at a touch of a button. I can't wait for some corrupt cop to pull me over and harass me, my girlfriend will own him/her (she is an attorney). Cops no longer have the power to push the citizens around any longer. Just remember, cameras are extremely affordable and are everywhere (cellphones included).

So, do what you want but when the people dont have confidence or trust in cops, then you will be nothing but an enemy. @11xr1east ..Oh really? Well, they started getting aggressive over here in certain parts of california at the end of last year. Cops started acting really tough and tell people to shut up. Then the cops started to literally push people when they wouldnt hurry up.Now I was told that those same tough cops dont show up when called. You see, now people call 911 and wait for the cops to show up. Then they just shoot the cops. Its hard to find out who did it when the phones are throw away. keep it up.
