this book is 600 pages of shit/ What a deception when i rode it! Cause i rode an other romance by her situated on 1536...of course, called "the wise woman" wich was facinating/ It's strange cause Gregory is obsessed by Ann. this is a strange behaviour i notice from her part.But her feeling concerning Ann is strange.as if she was jealous...not less! and of course, on "the other boleyn girl",she shouldbe ashamed to describes her like that! Ann was natural, full of life, with a free spirit!Strange

I recently bought the book, what I've read so far, the book is very well wrtten, lovely language they used back then!

The movie was bad, it's a pity that movies get so americnized, with big actors, but then the historical facts are being twisted and misleaded. It isnot thought of Anne really sleeping with her own brother, just for one fact, if I'd watch it again, I'd surely find more inaccuracies. I prefer "The Tudors", although not always hstorical correct either, still better than "TOBG"

When it comes to history I prefer to read David Starkey but most especially Alison Weir. Both great historians. As for PG I liked her Tudor books(tho not accurate history) but I hate her other books such as Wideacre and the 'Wise Woman' both too OTT for my tastes.

I think she is a gripping novelist but takes a lot of license with the 'truth'...So those searching for facts need to read books written by bona fide historians and not a novelist.

But she is a good story teller. Cheers

PG writes the most histoically innaccurate rubbish i have ever read, and she tries to say it isnt innaccurate, and she plays up to sterotypes and doesnt portray the charectors true personalities, and she has no training in history! no phds, degrees, diplomas, etc....

and how is Mary a heroine? Mistress to the King of France and England for her families gain, she did it just as much as Anne did. I'm probably gonna get thumbed down for this but I think the only reason she left court was because she couldnt bear to be in her sisters shadow. Anne suceeded while she was put aside.

Apparently PG spent 20 yrs researching this book yet omitted the fact Mary was mistress to Francis I, said Anne was the elder sister when most historians agree Mary was. I like PG's books as a work of FICTION and that only! It annoys me that these books create a mass of ignorant people who believe the way she set things out were the way it actually happened! I also cant stand the fact she tried to make herself appear as a credible historian with her bibliography

yes, her books are fiction, but a lot of it is accurate. She researches for years befores she writes her books. A lot of it is also fiction, and true tudor fans will know the fact from fiction in her wonderful novels

Yes true tudor fans know fact from fiction which is why the majority of them hate her novels. Their are very few accurate bits in the novel. But because of the way she presents her novels people believe that events did happen that way so people who are not true tudor fans have the impression Anne was a mega bitch whereas Mary was some poor Heroine
