With the mental capacity your father has to make the money required to buy such things he should know better to have snow tires put on his cars. The dealership likely told him about the snow tire packages they offer at insane prices.

@eunnmcd yeah they did offer but i refused. i want to enjoy the performance the summer tires offers during the good seasons. but this was the first time i ever put this car on snow i was just experimenting...and failed horribly. but i don't need the winter tires, we now have the qx which is awesome on snow. :)

If youve got money for a G37s Then youve got money for a new set of rims and snow tires. And having dedicated rims with snow tires means you can also have summer tires. Your traction will be more like 100/100 vs 50/50 with allseasons

@latincitizen i did try going in gradually but the tires do not grip the snow at all, because they are summer sport tires. Flooring it was all that worked next time i know not to take her out in the snow. I thought about getting winter tires but that just makes the car a waste of money.. It takes away from the whole sports car.

Flooring it will not help because you just end up messing up your clutch. Going gradually is the best thing, but what works the best is to get winter tires for you car.

This was the first snow storm of the year and we werent prepared for it, the news didnt say it was gonna be this big. When we went to home depot for shovels but they were sold out....

Just one of tbe worst car you can drive on snow. We also forgot about the traction control, after i rememred we turned it off and he got it right away.

@jelster86 I'm not sure snow chains can be safely used on on RWD cars. I could be wrong about this but I previously owned a 2004 G35s Coupe and I recall snow chains being bad for the car. We have had a terribly bad winter this year on the east coast. My 08 335i Conv did decently once it was moving but getting it to start rolling was a nightmare in this snow and ice. I tested the G37x Coupe today. Dealer gave me an insane offer I couldn't refuse. Looking to pickup the new car within a week.
