  • love love your work!

  • @toddhamby Thanks a lot :)

  • another epic solo piece

  • thats a monster bass... Im building me a single cut... check out my youtube page I have a vid of after I hit it with clear...

  • That's the ugliest thing ive ever seen

  • I may not be pretty, but really, did you have to call me "thing"? ;)

  • i think he means the bass

    and i disagree

  • he mean the bass lol

  • I know he meant the bass- I was making a joke, hence the winking smiley :)

  • thank you dude from the friendly response

have fun and take good care man!

  • dude, you are so bave to admit that u have some serious sight problems, i love you are tune, keep it up! anyway, god bless you.

also i wonder if ur bass cabs are bergantinos!!

    cheerz from morocco.

  • Nah, not brave- I was born this way, so I'm more than used to it. And yes, those are both Bergantinos (HT and EX 112s). I use an Acme B-2 now as it covers a bit more range that I need for the looping stuff, but the Bergs are really great cabs.

  • Love the vibe alot man!

  • Sorry for a couple of weeks ago I write something that I regreat for that I apologize. Perhaps I was a little jealous for your wonderful gear or something like that. You are happy playing the bass and sharing that with us that´s amazing. I´m been working 25 years us a sound engineer

and the problem with the profession is that you listen a lot to problems in the recording and seldom to the good thing on it. I will try to enjoy instead of criticize.

    A friend Ron

  • No problem Ron- I'm no great bassist by any means. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions- I like how the song/tone came out in this vid so I posted it, but there'll be just as many if not more people that dislike it. Even my nicest bass costs about 5 or 6x less than the average car, and seeing how I can't drive because of my eyesight, I might as well put the money that would go towards a car towards my gear :)

  • I just wonder Can this guy play the bass?

The basses are great but the playing jesus.Bad tone no feeling. He is using one multi delay well Jaco did this but in a very good way! Sorry no ofense just wonder maybe its me.

    Ron

  • i agree, he his has moments but its pretty sub par, and that bass is worth more than all of my equipment combined. but i love my "cheap" gear

  • I'd LOVE a bass like that....

I'm 18 and have only been working just under 3 months. I'll have £1000 at the end of the month so that's what $1800 roughly? If I sold my 2 basses I'd probably scrape another £300 but that still leaves me short I guess! :(

  • amazing. and your playing my dream bass, lol. keep on playing!!!

  • Legally blind means your vision, when corrected, is still bad enough to be considered at the same disadvantage as fully blind people (usually you're considered legally blind with vision 20/200 or worse when corrected). For me, my visual clarity is very poor anywhere beyond a foot or so.

  • hey wow ur really good. :] one question i hope it doesnt offend u anyway but wat does it mean to be legally blind?

  • Man this Video Kicks ass, Your bass playing, and technique is amazingly good, Are you in a band? or gig solo or anything?

    Definately 5/5

  • Thanks- haven't played in a band in years, so no gigs. I'd like to try some solo gigs, although where I live there's pretty much no places to play, and being legally blind I can't drive to the cities that do have them :/ :)

  • Man that sucks, if you gigged anywhere id gladly pay money watch you play, its not too often you come across someone with real talent, Its too bad that theres no venues in your area, Im sure a lot of people would feel the same way I do.

What do you do to afford all of this nice equipment?

  • I actually only own three basses at a time- I trade and sell a bit too much :D I think (hope) my latest three are my last. Not being able to drive helps (no gas, payments, insurance, etc.). My wife bought me the fretted 5-string as well.

  • Man, WHAT A GIFT!

I love Elricks tone, and im a sucker for Single-cuts, Ive been wanting one for a long while now, but I just cant bring myself to spend $4500 on a bass, do you know if the resale value is any lower?

By the way do you use a Sunn cab? I cant see in any of your video angles except for one kind of,it has a very nice smooth tone.

  • The new price of the singlecut 6 I have with all the options is under $4k. Resale is usually low for Elricks- my two singlecut 5s were under $2500 each. My cabs are two Bergantinos- an HT-112 and an EX-112. They sit on top of an Avatar 4x10 I don't really use anymore.

  • sweet, maybe ill have an Elrick sometime in the near future than.
