Wow!! I actually did it! This is the first cool a looking thing that i made! Thank you for the awesome tutorials!! I am going to try to make a bear or something out of this!! :D
I love your videos! I have been watching them and making alot of things recently! (For I lost my job...) I am making a little trick-or-treat basket for my nephew and used this ball as pumpkins! They are so cute! I even cut the crochets down and made them even smaller! They are adorable! Thank you so much for your videos! You give very simple and precise directions that are soooooo easy to follow! =D Again, Thank you!
Hi um deaf and I want to know what size is the needle because I would like to make a bigger version of that little ball into a bigger ball like a hacky sack :) please reply
@nathylane Amigurumi originally comes from Japan and it is little crochet animals. Many people here in America will call any size animal amigurumi. This project is related to amigurumi in being part of the structure in a final piece.
I had no troubles at all with this! Thank you! This is perfect to use as button for a cuff bracelet or a scarf! Works well as an embellishment, too! Also, I learned fast kittens like to play with it (:
Hello, i love your instructional videos, from you ive learned how to crochet a hat, granny squares and i was able to make a scarve. I wanted to know if you could or have any videos on making animal amigurumi's like bears or cats. I cant only follow by video, i guess thats my handicap.
I don't have any animals at this time. I do have a lot of the basic idea behind amigurumi to where you could create your own pattern or understand instructions from a pattern. I will keep this suggestion in mind for a future tutorial if I come up with something.
Okay, this is probably a really dumb question, but is this crocheting in a spiral? I have had the hardesttime trying to find instructions in the many books I have as well as on the web. I think you may have just cured my complete frustration in figuring out how to crochet in a spiral as so many ami patterns require. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!! :)
This is crocheting in a continual spiral. It just means that you are not chaining 1 at the beginning of each round. You are crocheting over your beginning point so you don't have a seam. It is a seamless way of crocheting. I use this technique in the hats too.
O.O
i mess up on the first round every time, i already started over like 8 times
i reaaally don't know what the heck i'm doing wrong D:<
and i already made a body for my amigurumi, so it's not like i am totally lost or something lol
i just don't get how i do it wrong every time!!!

Would I be able to easily make this in bigger sizes to make a snowman?
f12oreve08r 1 year ago
@f12oreve08r You would work more increase stitches to make the ball larger for a snowman.

Uh... how do you do the part of do not join???
IrisHanniwu 1 year ago
Instead of joining, you just work a single crochet in the top of the first stitch. This will keep it going in a consecutive round.

Brilliant!
Very instructive and nice and slow!
I've seen some videos where the action is so fast, the tutor's fingers are just a blur. I'm a total beginner and this has been of invaluable help.
Thanks very much
