It's called hydrocephaly. This baby was born with spinal fluid getting trapped in his skull. It's a relatively simple operation to have a shunt put into his head to allow the fluid to go back into his spine. This baby suffers needlessly because now it's too late to have this reversed. He was NOT born like this. He will die like this. I used to teach children and adults with this condition. Some parents won't allow the surgery to be done for religious reasons or perhaps ignorance.

This little girl with what seems to be hydrocephalus (water on the brain) needs a shunt, a Spitz-Holter valve, or similar, surgically inserting in the side of her neck to shunt the excess ventricular fluid into the bloodstream to be disposed of the normal way, otherwise the pressure could cause brain damage and will certainly give her a headache. I hope she managed to get the surgery.

This is a baby with Hydrocephali, born with a normal sized head but because there was a blockage in the brain the normal circulation is blocked and the head gets larger and larger from within the centre of the brain outwards. This child should have been shunted ( a brain drain) when born which in most cases saves the child. This child I'm afraid is in a non medical area and will not survive much longer...Due to pressure her brain is paper thin and will stop body functions soon. It is so sad !!!

Most likely the baby was born with a normal- ish head and then the hydrocephaly progressively got worse and worse. The sad thing is, this condition is very treatable and this could have been prevented from happening. The baby needs to be sponsored or something and come to the USA, or Britain maybe, for treatment...
