@hansmann87 I think that's the point the video makes. We see jungles getting lit up and guys being shot. The Vietnam War in itself is anti-war, for in how unpopular and unconventional it was. I think it just adds to the paradox and irony of itself, much like Joker from Full Metal Jacket with "Born to Kill" and a peace sign on his helmet. Nevertheless, the song is fixed to the generation/war of its time.

This song just says how much BS happended in nam. Fogerty had to be forced into the military and realized that the government didn't want us to win.
