  • I enjoyed that this Christmas Day. How wonderful to listen to you all pay so excellently.

    Ron!

  • Brilliant has anyone the names of these tunes. Such wonderful playing :)

I love the foot tapping and the moving musician how do you keep rhythm? That's how I do it and it is better for the physical body so you don't get your neck paralyzed etc. Those complainers might really end up with injuries. They are not wind up dolls they are human beings.

  • Wonderful and a joy to listen to again and again ! Cosin George USA

  • Nicest lively music i went to charlies workshop great teacher and all great musicians

  • apart from that, great playing! :D

  • @jim1205:

no offense, but that's a loada crap. feet tapping helps us to keep the beat AND to show the others the speed we intend to keep it at. As for the movement, that's just natural reaction to the music.

  • @PatrickM1996 Totally agree with you :)

  • One of the most beautifull Irish medley.

  • one of my favorite irish music video on you tube. fantastic

  • As uplifting as could B imagined. The uninhibited style of the virtuoso on fiddle confirms exactly that. Virtuoso performance.

  • Fantastic!!!

Would love to see Geraldine and Eamonn Cotter add Eddie Cotter the bodhran player from the States for a band of Cotters!! Does anyone know if they're related?

  • Brilliant music. The blood rises when I listen to this pure and lovely music---- ♥

  • Powerful stuff ♪♫ ♥ 5****

  • I always have confused the first parts of these (Mossy Banks and this tune), but I would never have put them down as being 'related', but just similar in shape.

  • Surely you hear the relation between 'The Mossy Banks' and 'I wish I never saw you', David. Whatever name Micho had for it is not relevant to that matter. A lot of players of that generation had versions of the tune, especially those who had direct or indirect contact with the Kilfenora crowd.

  • Great tunes. Actually the second tune isn't an older setting of the Mossy Banks. It's a tune that Micho Russel called "Divide the Cally Fairly." It's an old Clare tune. FWIW I can't stand Maeve's show-off fiddling and that cheap ugly stuff she does with the bow. When she relaxes she's great but too often she's quite taken with herself.

  • I agree, she should just be still and play the fiddle. And the feet tapping has got to stop. Sure they should be able tho keep the beat in their heads.

  • @jim1205

She is going with the flow of the music and showing she enjoys it..its better than seeing people sit still playing music with straight faces..and every musician taps their feet to the music...this does not affect the quality of the music...Powerful stuff...great music ! :)

  • Now thats my kind of music! Love it, love it, love it!

Tunes are Captain Kelly's, I wish I never Saw You and The Shepard's Daughter.

In relation to the second tune, its apparently an older setting of the Mossy Banks reel. I've also seen or heard it titled in some place or another as My Love and I in the Garden. Great little tune.

  • thnx 4 the info

  • Fantastic music!! Playing so tight together its absoultly fantastic!! lets hope these musicians make a recording soon!!

  • o nd does n e 1 no the names to these tunes?

  • I love the way the fiddler plays. All of them are great musicians.

  • savage stuff!!! unreal third tune!!

  • i felt like crap the day i watched this and it made me much more happy :)
