Brent I have the 265T which is the same as this except the screen is smaller, it still has lifetime traffic. Is it possible for the GPS to reroute the navigation so it avoids traffic or does all it do tell you where the traffic is?
are you driving with a camcorder in your hand while using the other hand to use the GPS touch screen? These reviews are great but keep your eyes on the road!
mr brentfoto, i just bought garmin nuvi 265 wt yesterday that is December 17 2009. prior to this, i never owned a GPS. i didn't know what to look for on GPS. after looking through, i decided to settle on this. but i didn't realize that it's kinda old GPS. so wot should i do, should i return it or upgrade it? should i look for a new one? let me know by replying. thanks
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I've had mine since 5/09 and I use it daily. I see no need nor reason for me to upgrade my unit, other than, perhaps, update the map software.
I have a new 265WT the traffic icon NEVER activated automatically and I don't see a way to activate it. I am within a coverage area. No traffic service being received and no traffic icon on the screen. Any suggestions?
Call Garmin. But the offer may have been terminated prior to the purchase of your unit. If it wasn't mentioned in the product description, it wouldn't have been available for you.
I was thinking the same thing when I had mine. The problem was that I kept using it without the power cord. The power cord has the traffic receiver built in to it. I know it's been three months, but I hope you found a solutions. Great review and it is a very good GPS that is loaded with features for the money.
