I have recently tried playing this game and i have to say, it is insanely difficult for me to keep up with everything that is going on. You guy's who played this game before this day and age's rpg games must be bored out of your minds at the simplicity of them. I look forward to trying to conquer this beast of a game, hopefully every dungeon and mission will as challenging and unique as I assume :D

Interesting I played this game a thousand times and until this vid I never realized how annoying it looks like when you watch someone play this game. I mean I press the pause button as often as you but someone who doesnt know this game will think "what a crap"...very Interesting...nevertheless I like your vid^^

Random bears are included in this video, haha. I would be playing Baldur's Gate if the damn voices and combat sounds would work, but no they just decided to not work one day and now all I have is music playing, no footsteps, sword sounds or voices, but some spells work. It makes a game hard to play when it doesn't work properly, any advice people?

yes! RPG computer games nowadays have a lot of graphics and 3D stuff, but what developpers have invested in such crap they lost the true core of RPG cumputer gaming: stratergy and role play.

@UndercoverCracker I've played the witcher but I quit in the middle of the game because I've got frustrated because I found it too much straight. the other games, no, I didn't played. what I found amaizing in BG - besides the size of the game - is that you control your party members and you can choose, during the game, to switch party members. the "6 party members" playgame is fantastic!

Haven't played the Witcher.

I've played Oblivion through many times, and while it's a lot more "High End" in terms of graphics and creatures, it has nowhere near the depth, thought, believability, characterization, or fun of Baldur's Gate. It acts almost like a fantasy FPS, with some badly-scaled monsters (lacking variety, I might add) and terribly awkward cinematics.

And Dragon Age Origins, from what I understand, is simply Baldur's Gate's younger sibling...

I love this game, but I also understand you, the younger generation. It's really hard for them to accept the graphics of this game which, however amazingly detailed, are, in fact, 2D. It's just as most of us couldn't play Elite or the original Bard's Tale because of the poor graphics. However, there will come a time when you will claim Dragon Age was the "classic" and the "best game in the world", and that the 2020's games (whatever they will be) stand in its shadow

@Nebuchadnezzaurus i persoanlly agree with you, nowadays kids rating the game about graphic.i play games who made was 199-2004,they provide best gaming experience.In other words-poor graphic,superior gameplay.kids is kids,they cant handle hard gameplay,whatever kids born with down syndrome,thats why they play halo or call of duty with good graphic,gameplay is to easy,dont need brains

@Nebuchadnezzaurus I really don't think, that this is going to happen. And this will be the proof, that the games of the Era of Baldur's Gate were superior compared to the games of today.

I don't know, i have this feeling, that this is true.... I was also unsure, wether the games from the past were truly better than the games from today or that we were just kids back then and experienced the games more intensely than we do today. But i think the 3D and the looks from todays games

@Nebuchadnezzaurus They don't have "an all time best game", for example, like the old gamers (like me). I, for example, worship the game "Planescape Torment". If i HAD to choose, i would say, that this is the BEST Game, that was ever created, because it is "the" (or maybe "a") perfect game...for certain reasons. Second i would say FF7, then the Baldurs Gate Saga...blabla

I don't think the kids these days have such "orgasms" while playing like we had.
