YES! this performance is muuch better than other`s i`ve heard, the others just play tho whole piece in a high tempo, and don`t let you hear the beautifull harmony the whole piece has , this performance let`s you hear every note, and has so much soul in it
Excellent version (and great sound quality) of this exciting and interpretive piece! I think this performer understands the difficult history of Armenia the composer, no doubt, experienced.
You see, this is like rape porn. Some people may enjoy it, because it may be thrilling. But in any case it's rape. The piece has been raped. Period. Whether you like it or not is another matter
@LordN3mrod with all respect, I can see where your comparison is going, but I still want to point out that this piece has not been raped. Music can not be raped. We talk about art here! If we wanted the piece played exactly as the notes say, my computer could do better than any human. But in music we have the freedom of creativity and inspiration and unique expression, exactly without raping anything. That is the whole point about it!
It's artistic, but artistic in the sense of Pogorellich on Rachmaninoff's second concerto...I like it, but when he takes rubato, he just plain stops which makes it lose something for me...I sometimes feel that this artist has no spine (rhythmic continuity).
