@LukeGNR94 Faith No More made it big time when I was your age, and they inspired me to take up music as a career. While I'm nobody famous, I still make most of my living singing; and I'm glad to hear that someone two decades younger than me can still be inspired like I was from the same band that inspired me.
@CoyotesPaw yeah man! im in a rock n roll band ! my drummer and vocalist are 15! the other guitarist 19, the bassist 18 and me 16! i can almost guarantee my band will be noticed one day, and i thank bands like FNM for influencing me!
so at first i saw 'sweet emotion' and hoped for an aerosmith cover. then i saw 'perfect crime' and thought of guns n' roses. then i heard this song, and im glad it werent any cover :D im 16 and i fucking love everything about this band
@CLeRKSfan4life She wasn't the original singer. The original singer was Mike Morris, then Courtney Love only for a few months, then Chuck Mosley, then Mike Patton.
@givemefudge it's FNM performing "From out of nowhere" on Saturday Night Live in 1990. You should be able to find it through google since YouTube always seem to reject that one, as well as their performance of "Epic" from the same show. Good luck :-)
I like A Perfect Crime better, but I have to say, it takes alot to rewrite a song. They were (are) great and I know there are many but we are few, Long live FNM!
Chili Peppers are great, no matter what, FNM is one of my favorite bands of all time, and there is NO comparison between both bands what so ever! I've been a fan of both bands for SO long and I've never understood how people compare the two, and choose between one or the other, they are both awesome bands that do their own thing.
well...Chili Peppers aren't "metal" at all, never were. but what I mean is how people compare them like saying FNM ripped off the Chili Peppers and vice versa, BUT I do realize these comments are made mainly by people who didn't know FNM existed before "Epic" (or after Epic for that matter lol) or that the Chili Peppers existed before "Under the Bridge"...... these have been 2 of my favorite bands for so many years. FNM is one of the greatest bands ever, they never get the respect they deserve.
I think they both are good...I disagree that just because Kiedis and Patton did'nt get along that the fans should be forced to chose an aliegence. Patton has the better voice but the Chili Peppers have the record sales. I like both though so I'm not bothered.
I think Patton's voice stylings and the vocal lines seem to fit in with the song more.
The other one drags a bit and lacks momentum even if the lyrics were more edgier.
I love the instrumentation on this version. Maybe it's the raw production or mixing but it seems different somehow.
I wish they played this at the Brixton academy. Yesterday I bought the vinyl for that and I wish it had this, The Crab Song, Introduce Yourself, As The Worm Turns, The Morning After along with...
Having a complete set list on the Brix' vinyl would have served as a subtle way of having a "best of" collection, especially given how their previous albums were advertised on the back of the record.
I think the idea was to have different versions of Brix' so as to be more enticing for the completist (like how War Pigs and Edge of the World weren't on the vinyl release of Real Thing but on Brix') but there's still some songs missing on the Brix' releases.
i think this was called perfict crime. i have this sing and its called perfict crime. and it sounds much better than this. and id a lot longer. its very easy to download.
Yes! This was the first "The Perfect Crime" but a bit shorter as well as different lyrics. It was recorded in the same session as "The Real Thing" album and "The Perfect Crime" was recorded in 1991 a while before "Angel Dust" if I'm not mistaken.
Type "Ranj Catch 22" if you wanna hear a cool song!

The comparison stems from the fact that they were both metal-funk.
