Hey I have a question about Opensuse. I downloaded it on the internet and put it on a dvd to install. But it made me put an installer onto windows to install it. Is there a way to just clean install it on a new computer?
It puts installer into Windows when setup porgram on DVD is started under Windows. It starts direct (clean) install when computer is drectly booted from DVD. For this OpenSuse CD/DVD needs to be inside computer when it boots. Sometimes BIOS settings have to be changed so that CD/DVD drive have a higher boot priority than HDD. To make sure that computer tries to boot from OpenSuse disk first. ;)
Amazing, I am running OpenSuse too. Theme is very nice how do you install it? I try some dark theme to install, but theme manager says "This theme does not contain a preview
Hi ! I started by setting KDE colors to "Dark Blue" and then fine tuned every color setting manually. For instance Firefox can ignore original page colors and use my preferred white text against black background. QtCurve widget style keeps colors settings consistent accross KDE and GTK apps. Eclipse colors are fine tunable too. I personally found my eyes become less tired this way. I mapped all extra buttons of my Logitech MX Revolution mouse to various compiz fusion shortcuts, very handy !
hey u have nice effects :)) what is the name of the compiz effect u use for rotating andfitting together the 3 terminals?

Software: OpenSuse 10.3, Compiz-fusion 0.6.9
Hardware: Centrino core duo, 2 GB RAM, Nvidia Go 7800 (128 MB RAM)
I use fast USB flash disk as a swap space.
It works much faster than HDD based swap
and allows to seamlessly switch between many
running programs. ;)
