I have both.

My ps3 has free online and a blu ray so that I don't have to have to spend 300 bucks to purchase one. (i find that helpful) Also, most of the exclusive games for my playstation aren't full of violence such as little big planet. My favorite is the uncharted series because it has action and a great story mode.

My xbox360 wants me to pay for online. So I'm actually a little pissed off. Sometimes, I wonder why I bought an Xbox. Anyway, the exclusive games are mostly rated M games and

Personally I have had my Xbox since I was 9 and i'm 14 now. I got my PS3 1 week before my birthday in 2010. The Xbox has more variety of games and more chatting options. But if you have a PS3 with an HDMI cable the PS3 is better. If PS3 had the games the Xbox had I would probably quit Xbox and play PS3. For now I would choose Xbox but in the future I could change my mind because you never know what Sony is going to release. Come check my channel out, I'm going to be doing a comparison with them.
