  • That vision is from the episode apocalypse..I think

  • lolololollolololollolololol dont fight here

we all came to see this becuz we miss it or we like it

  • @ACUTECEDILLA both that, and I use Lex as picbase for my e-fed owner, and wanted to use this specific clip in part of his titan tron :)

  • he was the reason I watched the show.... I just couldnt get into it anymore when lex died....

  • it´s not gonna be to be continued about like five seasons dammit!

  • THIS is when Smallville truly shined. They changed the Superman story forever. They turned Lex from a criminal mastermind, usually only after monetary gains and power, into the embodiment of evil.... into the freakin antichrist. And Rosenbaum played it like no other. He owned that role here and throughout the series. RIP Smallvile. You will be missed.

  • Wtf? Is he satan or something like that?

  • now the final eppisode on smallville ha did get president in the future! LOL

  • I never did understand what this vision represented. Did it mean that Lex causes the apocolypse? Did it mean that he'll murder a whole lot of innocent people while fighting Superman? Some have said it represents the old lady's impending death. I know we all have our ideas but this vision wasn't clear to me.

  • @Archangel101576 let me understand: You see a guy surrounded buy a post nuke enviroment

And you dont get it LOL In this overpopulated planet is a matter of time some of those enlightend smart asses who say they speak with god every day, decide it is time to bomb it all to SAVE PEACE, FREEDOM, AND SOME COLOR PATTERN IN A PIECE OF CLOTH.

  • @userwords um a little anti america aren't you? I think the comment is more appreciated when its less negative TO AN ENTIRE COUNTRY. But yes if you don't get this u might just need to go back to school

  • @jromanr01 maybe u r the one who need to go back to school:

    1. My opinion must be thruthfull, i dont need you to like it, nor im gonna put some make up on it to accomodate your taste.

    2. america is a continent not a country.

    3. my post is about our main concern, overpopulation, which is the cause all issues directly or indirectly, cancer, terrorism, poverty, crime, inmigration, species extintion, climate change, unemployment, financial crisis and any other.

  • @userwords okay for u, yeah i still think u need to go to school.

    1. "Thruthfull"?

    2. I respect ur opinion i was using some humor to lighten your very negative post.

    3. "America" is a term used to emphasize the United States of America, for instance i am an American. I come from America. But i don't HAVE to say, im from North America, or the US of A.

    4. The Americas, as it is known is a Continent, North America and South America.

    5. Okay great, so why are u insulting america? And ur solution?

  • @jromanr01

    1. Say honest instead if u want.

    2. No problemo.

    3. Canada is also northamerica, usa is usa. It is like saying europe to refer to spain.

    4.same.

5.u r becoming paranoid, i hate a guy who play to be god, dont care if hi is president of usa or italy, ill blame him anyway. And about overpopulation, is enough to top at 2 childs per 2 adults, not a big sacrifice if u think on the benefits for all of us. Believe me, im european and overpopulation is a disaster here.

  • @userwords thats all fine and dandy but i just don't appreciate when you say "is time to bomb it all to SAVE PEACE, FREEDOM, AND SOME COLOR PATTERN IN A PIECE OF CLOTH". I mean that 'might' offend a few people...

  • @jromanr01 I MEAN i dont care who get offended by the TRUTH. Thats what we call BEING HONEST. To say the truth ignoring ppl who may feel offended by it. If they feel that way then, they are guilty in some way, they like it or not. Not my sin, their sin.

  • Has anyone ever wondered what would happen if she could have told lex about the vision

  • @gjjijji Not really. In season 5 Lex takes the drug that puts you near death. His mother is there and begs him to stay because if he goes back to life then he'll never be able to wash away the blood of all the people he's going to murder.

  • @gjjijji Not actually, I think Lex already knows

  • @gjjijji nothing really. The set of circumstances leading up to it would still not change.

  • @gjjijji Probably wouldn't have changed a thing. If I remember that episode right he didn't really believe in her power anyway and even if he did that future came from him being himself and doing what comes naturally to him and that's a hard urge to fight even when you really want to and I don't know that he would really want to in the end.

  • in the comic he wore the glove because the krytonite ring deformed it

  • this was brilliantly tied into the finale

  • his future was gay as hell....hahahahahahaha

  • Aw, you should have left in the next couple of seconds when they show him freaked out by it, but man I loved this scene.

  • I had completely forgotten about this scene! I'm embarassed to say that because I remember thinking it was such a phenomenal piece of foreshadowing for so long.

  • This is one of the best scenes I've ever seen on television and I love how season 10 tied this prophecy into the series finale. Great show.

  • Crazy that they had the black glove idea way back then and it showed up in the last episode.

  • @MartoEmeraldHonor What? No it's not. He had a black glove back then, so ?? years later they say "give him a black glove."

  • @MartoEmeraldHonor It probably started as a reference to the comics. There he lost his hand to kryptonite poisoning and he covered the prosthetic with the glove.

  • @MartoEmeraldHonor Actually, that's a callback to the comics of the mid to late 80's/early 90's when Lex had a robot hand because his krytonite signet ring gave him cancer.

  • When Clark is in Limbo in the first episode of the last season Lex is wearing that same white suit. Very interesting.

  • Its metaphor for all the deaths he will commits very smart! And she dies because she saw her future as well, dieng

  • Oh but I like nice Lex:))

    poor lil' bald ginger...

  • whats with the black glove?

  • Comment removed

  • @thegame2011able Im guessing its to cover up his burnt up hand from the explosion, in the newest trailer for his return you see his arm completely messed up. In some pics of the series finale ep you see him sport it and since this destiny takes place when hes running or is president it makes total sense

  • @ImpulsiveJames44 Ok thanx.

  • @ImpulsiveJames44 Or it could be a ref. to Luthor's cancer hand b/c he wore a Kryptonite ring for years.

  • @thegame2011able Well the explaination impulse gave you is accurate for the show. But in the comics he lost his hand from radiation poisoning from wearing a kryptonite ring for so long.

  • what a nice guy

  • Funny that she doesn't need the helmet of Nabu

  • scared her to death.

  • Old lady: I saw beautiful flowers.. Until you stepped on them!

  • Things like this gave lex omens and pushed him into becoming the man he is now, before lex just wanted to be clarks friend

  • what the hell is wrong with that guy

  • so cool

  • in the words of film brain: SYMBOLISM!

  • IS A JOB FOR THE JUSTICE LEAGUE

  • lex was a good guy... it's just his ass father turned him into an evil man...

  • @mcridiculose but then his father was good when he dies.

  • @DavidGBrowning under jor el's influence. lionel was the guy that because he was temporarily blind after his son saved him, he cursed his son for saving him at all. without jor el, lex would have already taken over the world, and lionel would have been a head trophy in his bedroom.

  • all thats missing is an evil laugh =)

    muahahhaahhaha....

  • play raining blood by slayer to this, awesome

  • wish this was my destiny...lmao

  • The glove was a nice touch since Lex lost his hand from playing with the Kryptonite ring too much in the comics.

  • This future could happen in Smallville after 2013 Superman's ascension.

Will be the last apocalypse of Smallville, others are: Brainiac-Lex (Zod), Phantom Zoners, Brainiac-Kara-Lex (Apocalypse), Brainiac-Faora-Davis Bloome (Doomsday), Zod and his army (clones), Darkseid with his minions and another supervillain from central rogues. But in this video, why Superman doesn't stop Lex from destroying the world ?

  • @tiramarin because lex luthor is man

  • Comment removed

  • @tiramarin

    lets suppose lex finally won....

think with me, how many times have superman been in his power

and stupid dc had to save him?

  • Jesus if she died seeing lex destiny imagine what would have happen if she saw jack nappier destiny she probably would have like exploded of something

  • Man 2006, this episode is that old?

I remember being fascinated by this scene, the imagery was so vivid and powerful, especially the blood rain.

I've been carrying this scene in my mind for all those years and I'd forgotten where it had come from.

  • @0BatGirl0 lol this was actually one of the first episodes of smallville when it was still in the first season

  • @0BatGirl0

actually, smallville season 1 was released in 2000\2001

however, this scene was edited and used again in season 4 with a waaay sweet music, in the episode there is a drug making peopple having nightmares,

and lana stab clark with a meteor rock...

  • RAINING BLOOOD!!!!

  • wow lex is sooooooooo evil that the old llady dies just from reading his future,,,,,, i hope micheal returns!!!

  • The place with the skeletons reminds me from a level in Unreal tournament 3

  • they need to bring him back!

  • Check lex's right hand, he's wearing a dark glove, in Superman's story, the dark glove is because his kryptonite ring is killing him, starting with his hand, and he hides it with the glove. This is the best scene about lex's future, incluiding his vision about been president and the episode where he says I am the villain of this story.

  • @laloman1005 yh theres loads of cliffhangers about lex's ring like in the episode where oliver kills him and looks at the ring and it seems to hav something inside it, but u cant see it cus of the camera angle!!!!

  • pitero 123

  • lex luthor was a really great guy in the begining and was clarks best freind. but some how they wont be that for ever

  • she was so horrified seeing Lex's future that she died from it.

basically she was the first person Lex "kills" (although indirectly)

  • this is a illuminati screen ??? lol

  • lex is the best

  • Where's the video of Clark's vision?

  • mmmh, cute ♥♥♥ same as me

  • I Remenber of see this scene in this some episode Lex goes talk with Clark and tell something because for some reason Lex tell to Clark be friend of the Clark make him more humam and dont have the cursr of the Luthors !!

  • powerful stuff....

  • When I saw this scene for the first time I was totally like "WHAT?!?!"... I mean.... I knew Lex Luthos is a villain but he was so nice with Clark and his family that this scene and the idea of him being the super villain just did not fit to him.

  • SUNFLOWERS FUCK YEAH

  • did anyone else find it funny that the lady died from reading lex's future...or is it just me

  • @playsbba018 Hahaha Yah! he's all happy talking "what did you see?" and then his face changes really quickly

  • @playsbba018 I also find it funny

  • @playsbba018 Well, she was old...

  • @playsbba018 Well, she was old...

  • Dont fuck with Lex!

  • Hmmm, that's strange. The weather report said it wasn't supposed to rain blood until later this week.

  • :D She got scared there.

  • 1: 23

"it's raining death! hallelluya! it's raining death!!" XDD

  • xDDD AKJSAKSJAKS XDDDD

  • i cant find the part of this episode where casandra shows clark his future and tells him about his destiny- i really need this clip but cant find it on youtube- if anyone could help me i would appriciate it, because i need it for my next vid- thanks so much

  • yeh , where we just see his cape billowing?

  • If Clark would have opened up to lex he may have been able to save him from this path.

  • bullshit! lol In the end, Lex CHOSE to submit to the dark side =P Don't blame Clark =P

  • read the old comics, Lex Luthor gets cancer from wearing a Kryptionite ring.

  • Lex Luthor FTW!!!

  • Lex Luthor for President!

  • powerful scene! I'm not a sick fan(but I like watching it)and this scen really impressed me.

  • no you're sick

  • your opinion is important.but not for me.

  • good one...lol

  • :)thanx I'm here all week.

  • What is the meaning of the glove? We see it in this vision, and then again when Lex "dies" and sees his mother.

  • Later, when Clark & Lex are mortal enemies, Lex wears a kryptonite ring for years to keep Clark away. Ironically, the krytonite causes cancer in his hand and it has to be removed. The glove is actually an artificial hand.

  • Okay! Thanks! I always wondered what the glove meant! I knew it meant something important, but I'm not that familiar with Superman comics to know.

  • You are more than welcome. [=

  • ah thank you i didnt know that but i think lex wears this glove also in season 7 in the alternate universe, but theres neither clark kent nor a superman there

  • It's probably for Kara (like a just-in-case kind of thing) in that reality.

  • i don't know why tehy had him wearing a glove in that universe. you're right, it doesn't make sense. then again, it's smallville, and the writers are known for making a lot of timeline mistakes. =/

  • He wears the glove because of radiation from wearing a kryptonite ring for so long.

  • lol plz read the other comments before posting :)

  • Fuck Aaron Eckhart.

  • Smallville does something right every now and then. We see now that Lex in this continuity will still be pure eveil, and have that whole "lost hand" thing. Yep, Luthor is on to big things, including teaming up with DC's other leading maniac Mistah J.

  • Hell yeh, Hahaha, Why So Serious?

  • Hottie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That is one EVIL destiny

  • aww... this was awesome

    but also sad

because its the whole... inevitable thing

you know Lex WILL become evil

its just that at this point he really didn't to be.

  • I wonder if hitler and idi yamin ever had this dream about their future

  • It's very symbolic isn't it.

  • Yeah, but the question is if they'd have changed knowing what they'd turn into? Lex didn't know that's what he would become, he didn't see the vision, he was good enough during the first few seasons he might've changed his ways but then it became too late.

  • The lady died of shock!

  • I'd say Lex starts out in season 1 only about 25% evil, that's why he's buds with Clark. Then he gets about 10% more evil with each passing season, until now he's pretty much a lost cause, seeing as how he kinda shoved his dad through a window.

  • fuck me betty wendy and marry

  • can you imagine, he's soooo evil his destiny is lethal. Man, i bet he doesnt wash his hand, with intent! *gasp*

  • it really saddened me that he turned evil..i absolutely adorrreeeddd him in seas 1!! back then he had that perfect mix of darness & kindness

  • Nah I liked him when he chose and was on the path to the dark side :D He was badass lol

  • THIS IS ONE OF SMALLVILLE GREATEST SCENES: EVEN jOHNNY SMITH´S DEAD ZONE FIRST SEASON COPY IT

  • see the original movie { The Dead Zone } with Christopher Walken....( or read the book )....The Dead Zone did not copy....it's just how the two stories go. Smallville / The Dead Zone fan for life....!!!!!

  • o.O

  • YEAAHH LET'S COMMITT GENOCIDE TOGETHER LEX!! it's raining blood today!! WEEE!!! ^.^

  • why does he have a black glove in his right hand??

  • Radiation poisoning/cancer from kryptonite ring in that hand

  • lol OMG he's so evil he killed an old lady with nothing but a vision

  • He didn't kill her intentionally, he was still a good man at this point.

  • lex luthor é o cara!!!

  • i love lex

    is very sexi and profundere

    te amoooop`ppp

    eres mi villano favorito

  • I like Hackman better.

Hackman's version, is just so Machiavellian and brilliant. Launching a nuclear missile to the San Andreas fault, calculating how to kill Superman, manipulating Zod, he is the ultimate villain in the DC universe.

Mind over Muscle. When it came time to cash in your chips did you think this diseased maniac would be your banker?(something like that)

If you h8 Returns you hate the 1st one.. All Superman did was lift things in the 1st one too. Returns was an homage.

  • I like Hackman better.

  • I LOVE Smallville's take on Lex Luthor. So much more interesting than the ineffectual clown in the movies. The movie Luthor is just an excuse for some middle aged, balding actor to ham it up shamelessly. Both Hackman and Spacey were as threatening week old kittens.

This Lex is an three dimensional character . A true match for a guy like Clark Kent.

  • Yes, Spacey wasn't as goofy as Hackman was, but he was just as inept, idiotic and cartoony as Hackman. It really doesn't matter because I HATED "Superman Lifts Things".....I mean Superman Returns anyway.

Smallville may have flaws (cough Lana Lang cough) but at least they get the two main characters right.

  • He wasn't in any way "cartoony or inept" like Hackman. For Christ's sake: He stabbed Superman! And the look on his face was pure revenge!

Anyway, I would say Michael Rosenbaum is one of THE BEST portrayals of Lex Luthor, I'm glad with saying that! He deserves that, but I believe Spacey was pretty freaking good as well.

  • The Luthor from the movies is a crook and a grifter, but fanboys eat it up anyway. Luthor never did rate very high on the sanity scale, even in the modern comics. Personally, I thought stabbing Superman had NO PLACE in that movie, which was obviously an homage to the classic silver age adventures. A stab wound belongs in a grittier movie.

I don't advise over-analyzing the Superman films. Either you dig retro superheroes, or you don't.

  • cassandra doesn't ever tell him right?

  • She died from the shock of the vision

  • one of the last in series 1 i think

  • one of my truly favorite scenes in the whole series. The visual effects are pretty awesome and the metaphor used is completely astonishing...gives you the very clear idea of what will the meaning of Lex's life be.

  • Why are people spelling Lex LuthOR with an E? O_o Am I missing anything here?

  • Yeah, I get your point. But I also think you have too much time on your hands to be worrying about such things.

  • Point taken. Lol. Chalk it up to momentary lapse of loser-dom AND being obsessive compulsive.

  • I wish I could be a Lex Luther.

I admire his discipline, cunning, ruthlessness and frankness. Anybody who remembers the show PROFIT will know what I'm talking about.

  • ....Isn't this the same nuclear missile scene from Terminator 3?

  • Oops, wrong vid lol

  • yep. I guess they couldn't afford more special effects, so they bummed some off T3. But it still rules.

  • I love the Lex Luther character.

Him and his father Lionel luther steal every scene. I think hes man's idea of the antichrist without the unholy relation. I love to see him every season struggling against that eventual darkness that will inevitably claim him that which is in his nature. Its as if his eyes are beginning to close; and upon opening only then, will he realise what he can only be. True to himself. True to the darkness that is constant where all his thoughts and motives come from.

  • @BlakeVII i think Lex Luthor actually represents Lucipher and Superman represents Jesus/God.

think about it, Superman is infinitely more powerful than Lex just like God is more powerful than Satan.

Satan is extremly cunning like Lex and always trying to bring chaos and destruction.

Satan was jealous of god. Lex was jealous of clark.

Clark doesn't kill Lex just like God doesn't destroy Satan.

and they keep struggling with each other over the fate of humanity.

  • @CIarKent satan was'nt jealous of god, he was jealous about the way god treated his "new" creation, mankind. Otherwise I enjoyed your parallel

  • See, THAT'S what Evil Lex is supposed to look like. Not a pansy who gets beat up/kidnapped/K'Oed/nearly killed every single episode.

  • lol lex so evil he killed her while she was looking at the future jokes

  • lol lex looks so young. its time some rich powerful mad bald man tries to take over the world already!

  • bloody rain !!

    lol

  • he wearing a glove because of the krtptonite ring infected his hand he's wearing the superman return s white suit lol

  • They named her "Cassandra"! Somebody's classical education is showing.
