@Spotty1125 the new 4.6L twin turbo v8 is pretty good on gas about 25% better fuel economy than the 5.5L v8. Going up in the lineup means you have more money. If you buy a 100k+ car, gas isnt the biggest concern. Power and fuel economy don't mix.

@anasso9393 Eco cars? Best eco cars are german too, like the vw bluemotion, audi a1 diesel, mini diesel, and most german diesels. Best sports cars, not italian, i would say german too, like Mclaren, and the bmw m cars, and merc amg, and audi rs. They offer more practicality, mpg, and performance than italian cars. Italian cars are unreliable, and i don't really like them that much, including maseratis.

So german cars are definitely the best overall for everything. And i'm not german ;)

I am a VW-Group man and always have been. Started off in a Polo, moved into Golf, then into Audis (had A3, A4 and now A6)

Now the kids are older and I don't need as much practicality I decided to have a look at the A7. Nearly got one until I heard about the new CLS. Went for a drive and it was FANTASTIC. However I'm looking on the used market because it's more pricey than the Audi, but defo worth it. Pleased to know Mat Watson seems to agree :-)

From someone who has loved Mercedes above everyone else since I was a young boy. I have to say that Mercedes has gone right down the shitter! For almost every single model, I prefer the equivalent offerings from Audi and BMW.

The E-Class went from being a classically good looking, timeless machine to being the fuck-ugliest thing with 4 doors! And I never bought into the hype about the latest S either.

I'm not repulsed by this CLS though. That's probably the best I can say for now.
