robby krieger, a gentle soul, a gentleman, an amazing musician and composer.
the quiet door. he said it was an honor staying in the shadow of Jim Morrison. he, ray and john loved jim. glad i lived through the 60s and 70s. it was nice, i thank God.
There is some new information about Jim Morrison's death at erichufschmid(dot)net. Enter, "The Strange Death of Jim
Morrison. The article talks about his father, who was a Navy Admiral who wanted, "swift military action against Israel for attacking an official US Naval vesse..." The USS Liberty was attacked by Israel in 1967 and killed 34 and wounded 179 sailors. The article also says tha Jim Morrison may have been standing up to the criminal Jews and they were worried so they murdered him.
@StraightTwoDVD wtf ringo? The Doors and The Beatles were in two completely different places at that time. The Beatles had completely stopped performing in public. So dont say anything like that, Jim died of a heart attack or an overdose. God, you shouldnt even say shit like that. Jim's memory will live on forever. Don't be hating on people like that. Damn.
Im 39 and i dont think this is so. Great music, then, but there are alot of great groups from the 90's. After that, ok its hard to find this continuity.
fuck the 90s, the only thing that was good in the 90s was PanterA, but there will never be a band as unique as the doors, simply fucking legendary. no body tries to be epic thats why, everyone know a days are writting 3 minute cheasy songs about erelavent shit, the doors talked about the "Revolution" and other mysterious topics that no one else would dare to touch
I often wonder if i did what Jim did, if i would receive such insight and inspiration.... trip on acid for three days and just write poetry! Worked for him!
Its not possible to resurrect The Doors, regardless of what they say. Ray says "the lead singer is the most important member of the band"; Jim Morrison received many offers for a solo career, never considered any, he knew he needed them as much as they needed him. The Doors were The Doors, and thats it.
The red web page they use at 1 min 7 sec into this video clip is NOT the actual Riders on the Storm website, and I do not believe they call themselves the ressurection of the doors, the page they show is for an real "cover" band with no original members. I wish people would actually do research before airing this stuff. Nice interview though. Long live Riders!!!

He is absolutely right. Music back then is so much better than the crap today it's not even comparable. And I am 21.

I love their honesty, reminds me of Bill Hicks and his "Drugs have done good things for us" speeches!
From what I've heard in interviews with Jim, he really didnt seem to think he had a drinking problem.

Great interview...never heard anything about the idea of Jim going to rehab and the fact that THERE WERE NO REHABS!...tragic...what if?
