  • "How do I catch him off guard? SCREAM BEFORE EVERY ATTACK! Never see it coming."

  • Master, what does His power level say: it's over 9000

  • TAKE YOUR CHINESE SHOES AND GET OUTTA HERE!

  • Im really glad he played Huo Yuan Jia in his last martial arts movie great tribute

  • at 0:35 you can see that the amount of peaple ready to fight jet li nearly made him crap his pants by the emotional look on his face

  • One of the best remakes ever.

  • kan iemand mij vertellen waar ik deze film kan kopen in het engels. ik vind nu alleen maar in het cantonees en duits.

  • I thought those are wearing hakama practicing Aikido a way to strikes back and not strike.

  • 我爱中国!我喜欢李连杰!

  • shit gets brutal at @1:50

  • man. he was so fast with getting his shoes back on and tying his laces.

  • Yawn. Bruce Lee did the whole Chinaman beats up the Japanese karate dojo a long time ago. Why watch a pale imitation?

  • @bryuko Yes he did,

but I for one did not know this movie before this and now will watch it, just to see how fist of fury is being reinterpreted by these guys (what with the recording and filmig tchnology 22 years later being more advanced and all :-)

And do you really think its a pale imitation? Imitation, yes. Pale? Arguably not my friend!

  • @bryuko Why did you come here then? Also, many events often occur repeatedly such as birthdays but people still like to celebrate them even if it's with the same people in the same house, doing the same kinds of activities. I'm sure you can come up with some differences but I'm just giving you an explanation (since you asked. And don't tell me it was rhetorical).

  • @urbanninjaknight To learn if this would be a good rental. Doesn't look like it. I'm not a fan of remakes unless they greatly improve or add something to the original. Bruce Lee did this scene much better. No offense to the director or Jet Li, mind you. Lee's shoes are hard to fill.

  • @bryuko You are one stoic sumbitch if this scene does not compel you to buy the movie, and even more so if you won't even rent it.

And with most great fiction, it's not what happens, so much as how it happens.

  • @abvflux It almost compelled me to watch Fist of Fury again, but I've seen that too many times already. You want a good fighting rental? Watch Oldboy. Wow. Now that was something I haven't seen before.

  • wish I could just grab someones head and put them on the floor like that for giving me attitude haha

  • Kinda sad that he didn't make movies half as good as this in Hollywood.

  • @Rambo4President well hollywood is full of shit...full stop

  • 1:25, goddamn my dick crawled up in my nutsack just watching that. o_O

  • Golpe de judo com dois dedos 1:11.

  • Of course he can fight like this, as a little boy he was a real shaolin monk

  • could he really fight like this ?or is he just an actor?

  • chinese = dong ya bing fu LOL

  • i wish i was like jet li

  • jet li's presence in this movie was top notch

  • Oh wow i can`t blieve it that is strange

  • Strange i still find donnie yen the best fighter!

  • Wow this looks awfully familiar

  • @Hakizzle08 thats because it is a remake of Bruce lee's 1972 fist of fury

  • Kungfu only works in the movie :) mma fighters admitted that kungfu is a fake martial art

  • There are different types of "Kungfu". Movie kungfu is quite useless as said. However, real Kungfu (Wushu) is not, given it is practised the right way. It looks ugly, but its effective.

  • @AtrumMixer Jet Li has been doing Wushu since he was a child.

  • Yeah. I don't doubt that.

  • @arexyouxepicxenough It is true. He has been doing it since he was 8.

  • true wudang kung fu style... no doubt

  • i think its safer to say .

Jet Li and Bruce Lee were both masterrs of wushu kungfu and were able to adapt to other techniques .

    even western boxing .

  • so jeet Kune Do is not a sport , but a concept.

    a way of thinking .

words from Bruce lee himself .

    not me.

  • Jeet kune do is MMA

it means the art of combining different techniques to the individual advantage.

its diffrent techniques for each person:)

  • Bruce Lee ttribute to "Fist of Fury"

    fight against the japanese school:)

    same scene.

  • Pause @ 1:27 > FALCON KICK!!!! TO THE CHEST

  • dumb chinks, they have no respect for Japanese martial arts or culture. It's a shame that the Japanese Empire dosen't still exist and control all of Asia today.

Stumme Ritzen, haben sie keinen Respekt für japanische kriegerische künste oder züchten. Es ist eine Schande, daß das japanische Reich nicht noch die ganze Asien heute besteht und steuert.

  • Jet Li don't know how to fight. A old man tell him what to do when hes fighting. I saw on the Kiss of Dragon.

  • 1 min 56 not a spinning elblow but half pretty gud shit lift foot half kneel in air, hand up, twist other elbow

  • 1 min 56 not a spinning elblow but half pretty gud shit

  • i like this film

i want to learn this fight >

    what his name ???

  • i like how he got his chinese shoes on in a flash.

  • Where is the FEELING?! Bruce Lee always made sure to throw in a kiai when he fought! He had that emotion that gave this character MEANING.

  • best fight scene ever and jet li is awesome lol!!!

  • if i was good as jet li i will do that punch in 1:15 too my big brother

  • when jet li walks into a room someone's ass is going to be kicked

  • i love how jet li is always trying to be in the guys face!!!

  • 0:59 is so epic to me.

  • you can say that again

  • ohhh!!!!!! 0:46

  • holy shiiit!!! this guys is soo bad!!

  • 1:17 what an epic punch.

  • @shaqhurtsme

    Yeah that would be EPIC!

  • @shaqhurtsme

I knoq....I love that movie bro

  • Jet Li = Badass

    Bruce Lee= Legend

Jet Li + Bruce Lee = Legendary Badass

  • @livethenewlyfe

    What about Jackie Chan?

  • @Fallout1Boi Jackie Chan - King Of Drunked Fist?

  • @livethenewlyfe i think his name would be goku

  • @livethenewlyfe If you'd told me about this, I'd have thought....Lame.

But he does it so well. Clearly with all the respect he can muster.

  • 3:44

imagine just waking up to that.

    lord jesus...lmao!

  • wow jet just push tht dude's head.lol!!

  • excellent school LI !!! JP

  • Go Jet go!

  • Very Nice

  • this is what i love about Jet Li's choreography. his moves are so dynamic and powerful, like they actually look like theyre meant to hurt and at the same time look cool

  • One of THE BEST FIGHTING MOVIE EVER. PRECISE, QUICK and WELL EXECUTED MOVES.

  • 0:43 DEEEZZZ!

  • you would think they remeber bruce lee

  • awesome

  • HAHAHA Jet Li grabbed the guy's Little Bobs, LOL!!!

  • I feel bad for the school because jet li looks so awesome and he makes them look like flying idiots. lol

  • I prefer Bruce Lee's way.... but I also admire Jet Li because he is doesn't try to be him, Jet Li has his own way.

  • at :46 seconds. GET PUNCHED IN THE DICK!!

  • Don't you guys find it interesting that Jet Li plays Chen Zhen (trying to avenge his master's death)...and years later he plays Chen Zhen's master, Huo Yuanjia, in Fearless.

  • @AwkwardPanda29 yeah kind of

  • Superb fight choreography!

  • Jet Li is a legend. his spirit is very strong. He is my idol

  • It's funny that all the actors playing japanese are all chinese in this movie. only jet li's girlfriend and the guy with glasses are japanese.

  • This scene was already done in Bruce Lee Chinese Connection. It's either a homage or a ripoff whatever way you look at it.

I wonder if either portrayal absed off on true events.

In perspective this like comparing to Jack Nicholson Joker vs Heath Ledger Joker

Either way both scene are awesome in their own right.

  • @rswarrior1700 just my two cents but yeah the character of chen zhen and his story was originally created by a man named ni kuang who is a wuxia novelist and screen writer. the first person to portray chen zhen in a film is bruce lee. soon after, other actors/martial artists like jet li, donnie yen and jackie chan also played the role of chen zhen as well; each film taking it's own spin and adaptation from the original. but yes, both scenes are awesome ^^v

  • @rswarrior1700 im pretty sure this is not a chinese connection scene... i think fist of legend was in fact a remake of fists of fury

  • staring contest! jet li obviously won

  • @shiguaman....i somewhat agree with u...but its just a movie.....

  • I don't want to get into a giant argument with popip0, but chinese martial arts CAN beat japanese martial arts. it's been around longer, shaolin and wing chun are two of the most deadly martial arts in the world, and one of them (wing chun) was made for WOMEN hundreds of years ago. bruce lee who learned wing chun could easily kill almost anybody on this planet, off of a martial art originally made for girls to defend with. there. i proved my point

  • 4 justin bieber fans voted dislike.

  • the funny thing is that theyre all in jiu jitsu gis, but none of the japanese guys use jiu jitsu. jet li wouldnt know what to do on the ground lol

  • Comment removed

  • now i see where the matrix got their multiple smith fight from.

  • Lol the dubbing is so bad :P

  • Bruce would've approved

  • I'm like him

  • I love watching him kick people out of the air!!

  • fights bruce lee in my dreams

  • Take your Chinese shoe from Walmart and get out here!

  • Fist of Legend is one of the greatest martial arts movies of all time

  • In my opinion I think jet li became better than Bruce and jacky chan

  • 0:41 - 0:49. Nutshot

  • I'm in ur face, kicking ur ass XD

  • Jet Lis all very well and good but compared to Bruce Lee, he had nothing to those standards of fighting RIP Bruce Lee

  • @Seraph1611 why writing such lie if everyone see that this fight is better than original one with bruce

  • "fist of legend" is such a good kung fu film, why would anyone fuck it up by speeding it up, which this video clearly is. jet li is plenty fast in real life, he doesnt need to be made to look absurd with this cartoonish bullshit.

  • 4 persons felt the wrath of jet li's fighting power

  • 0:58- 1:02

    FIERCE.

  • @kaschtnsamtdiekarbln silly moron, perhaps you've forgotten about the generations of people who are all now DEAD thanks to japanese war crimes and occupation. Not to mention lost histories. And massive rapes. And the fact that the japanese government still fails to acknowledge half of these crimes. And maybe you should do a tad bit more research in this movie since it's a remake of a bruce lee classic. stupidity at its best, i forever laugh at you

  • that was one clean floor for those guys to slide like that. lol. One quick question. Why was he always putting his face in the japenese guys face whenever he could. Why was he mking the eye contact?

  • @sparrowroxs It was meant to be insulting... the Japanese master supposedly beat Jet's master fairly, but Jet is beating him so easily that he can put his face right in front and not be afraid of getting hit. It's like saying "Here I am -- but you can't hit me."

  • @sparrowroxs In my opinion, if you watch closely enough Li was staying very close to the teacher because the way the teacher was fighting. it seemed as if the teacher was less skilled at fighting somebody who was close to him compared to far enough away that he could get his kicks in proper. reason i say this is because Li didn't move his body completely out of the way till 3.23 and after that was when he got close to him. although i believe batmantrainer has a good point as well.

  • ..I love how people still hate on Japan for what they did in Nanking and yet conveniently forget What China is doing to Tibet. Governments are all shit..Yes Japanese did some horrible things to China in the past but China are no angels. Stop blaming people for the blind action of a few in their governments.

  • @Dungarth a) Tibet was never really an independent country... it always remained as China's tributary state or province, throughout all of chinese history. b) china contributed a lot to the developement of infrastructure and education in Tibet. c) the dalai lama was actually a slave owner, who also had a totalitarian rule over tibet, not really a "shangrila" in that sense... as for the Sino-Japanese War, japan totally raped and pillaged every city they invaded, and to this day they don't admit.

  • @Dungarth

    YEAH YOOOOOOOOOO

  • "When ever your ready, I'll take on any Japanese here"--RIP Bruce Lee

  • @counterstep "So u wanna see how good you are. Then u must be tired of living." "Well, we fight alone or all together."

  • you said it

  • I like this one, but Bruce Lee's was iconic. It's like Michael Jackson doing the moonwalk, then Chris Brown doing it, yeah Chris Brown might have a good moonwalk, and might improve it in some way, but MJ's was iconic and one of a kind. It's easy to look at something and try to improve it, because you have something to compare the remake with, doing it first, and successful, that's hard.

  • I don't think i've ever had a pair of shoes that havn't been made in China :L

  • 1:26 mots epic kick ive ever seen :3

  • I wonder which one of these fights ever, Bruce Lee's in the ori Chinese Connection or Jet Li in this (awesome) remake

  • Japan is a piece of shit. I will never forget Nanking.

  • @anythingnew Get over it. You weren't there. Japan is no longer the Empire of the Rising Sun. There's no longer a reason to hold a grudge like this. So either get over it or stop liking Japanese animations.

  • I love how in every good chinese kung fu movie, they always show the protagonist beating up karate students. (Ip man, enter the dragon and this.)

  • kungfu > karate

  • @HongKongKanto never put style above the fighter..style doesnt matter

  • @HongKongKanto

Pai Mei approves of this video.

  • english dubs suck

  • AHAHAHAHAHA! AIKIDO IS USELESS AGAINST WUSHU!

  • doesnt anyone have the movie with the original voices:S? I had it on VHS long ago

  • @lavabone I specifically said @ 1:57 he yanks his dick. I was well aware that he was kicking most of them in the balls. The part @ 1:57 just really caught my attention because jet li lifts the dude off the ground by his dick.

  • why does jet li sound like one of those robot keyboards for the mentally retarded.

  • Okay maybe he just got it yanked but DAMN I bet dat shit hurt!

  • Damn!! @ 1:57 Dude got his dick dislocated!!

  • @joshin2010 just so you notice, about everyone jet li is fighting, is getting kicked in the balls

  • Vietnamese is champion in the world, Chinese is nothing!

  • @chodoimai79 THEN WHY ISN'T VIETNAMESE MARTIAL ARTS FAMOUS? BECAUSE IT SUCKS!

  • @chodoimai79

Stop embarrassing us. We're not known for martial arts.

  • This is based off Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury? When I saw that after I saw fearless, I was like whoa... Huo Yuan Jia?...

  • @darkhokage YOU MEAN CHINESE CONNECTION?

  • @PakDaeHan It's originally Fist of Fury. Chinese Connection is the name in the US because the actual title was Fist of Fury, but obviously they didn't wanna make it that title again because the last one was called that in America.

  • Very nice fight scene, though...if I was a leader in that dojo, I would probably discipline the students for picking a fight like that. =_= It's really stupid for them to throw themselves into something like that without analyzing the opponent enough. What's more, isn't it a standard for the Japanese martial artists to be calm-minded? Where did that go?

But, anyways, Jet Li is quite an experienced fighter, so I wouldn't be so surprised. Though I wish that the students weren't so hot-headed.

  • @kaschtnsamtdiekarbln (To both sides, actually) There are all kinds of people on both sides. The thing is that there ARE racists on both the Chinese and Japanese side. Also, I think that the reason why Jet Li's character in here did well was due to his ability to keep calm (the others, excluding the master, didn't do as well becaus ethey were inexperienced and less calm-minded. From what I recall, Japanese martial arts also emphasizes being calm in a fight, and those people didn't do well on it)

  • does this means chinese people are better fighters then japanese people?

  • @IndoKurd Nope. In regards to martial arts (I'm saying this as a Chinese, btw), there is no strongest style or fighting method. The people who wield the style are the ones who decide the result (and, if anyone is interested to know, Japanese AND Chinese philosophy on martial arts are not as different as people would like to believe). Also...if you look at the other fighters in here, they are damn inexperienced compared to Jet Li's character (throwing themselves in). No wonder why they lost.

  • @Teruame

aha thanks for clearing things up

  • Easily one of Jet Li's greatest martial art fights.

  • @bread1993

    NO FUCKING KIDDING...

  • @bread1993 Jet li'sBEST movie

  • @bread1993

but chinese martial art can not beat japanese martial art: judo, jiu jitsu, karate, aikido (maybe yes against aikido)

  • @popip0

    wing chun > you.

  • @bread1993 Homage to Bruce Lee Chinese Connection or rip off of it either way both representaion of the same scene is awesome

  • I like this more than the original with Bruce Lee. Jet Li has more finesse and technique in this version. Both are legends which ever way you look at it.

  • @mkmoloch thats true the fight with jet li looks better .. the choreography is better

  • @kaschtnsamtdiekarbln

You're right to say that China should not hold a grudge against Japan. But you ll forgive China for not forget the Nanking Massacre, and all the other rape, torture, and needless abuse Japan committed. War is one thing, being immoral and loving it is another. For crying out loud, have some sympathy...think of how you would react if you knew Japan had done the same to your nation's people.

  • he whooped ass and didn't even break a sweat

  • Love this fight...great choreography and Jet Li is smooth..and a good actor.

  • jet li vs bigfoot

  • one of th best jet li fight scenes!

  • @C21H23ClFNO2 You have the right to ignore this movie if you hate it. We're in a flippin' free website of choice called youtube after all!

  • @suemorphplus2009 you are right, it's for the sake of entertainment. our generation now is free to express and everyone is free to comment. comments are welcome here in you tube. it's nice to read different versions from different people, then we learn something out of other people's ideas and views. i still respect it no matter what.

  • @kaschtnsamtdiekarbln The Japanese military crossed the sea and marched into China. Have you ever heard of the rape of Nanjing? I wouldn't consider the Japanese in this film to be all that weak, seeing how Jet Li's character actually had a struggle to beat the Japanese officer in the final fight, the Japanese officer took quite a few hits and delivered quite a few as well. Put in mind also that most of these students in the dojo are not masters like Jet Li is ...yet

  • If you ugys want the original version in Engilsh Sub HD Quality of this fight and more, check out my site

  • now this is bad ass

  • The Chinese are lying dogs and their youtube comments can not be trusted.
