  • i play snare we do those as warm up excersizes with out hands, damn nice

  • 3 per drum.

  • fucking insane. have they ever thought of timing in 3?

  • Could you write down what you play plz from 0'27" ?

  • it's not heel-toe technique.

  • Could you just upload a video (maybe you've already done it) without triggers ? Triggers are cheat !

  • sounds like triplets but idk. and y the fukk 208?? hahahha good shit tho

  • holy shat. your great!

  • @maciverandy triggers are an electronic device used in various types of music. Metal drummers use triggers too get a more clear sound. And so guitar players can hear the kick. So you can hear each hit when you fly. They plug into a module. Basically put. Triggers and module makes your acoustic drum set or whatever into an electronic kit. Or kick.lol

  • wtf is a bass trigger?

  • TRIGGERS <3

  • you could have drummed for fear factory....nice

  • i cant understand heel-toe on that short pedals o_O

  • we need some high speed camcorders set up here

  • fuck me thats quite awesome, lol, incredible man keep it up

  • It looks like your actually doing the slide technique? are you doing true heel toe?

  • what pedals sre theese???

  • dude i gotta learn that!

  • Your pedal is quite small :L

  • sounds amazing

  • i got a dw 9000 too............so good

  • @ admanrod Mr. Admanrod, your bass drum sounds plain simple EVIL!

It would kick ass in an extreme metal song!

  • damn man all ur videos r bad ass keep it up

  • you make me sick lol that just takes the piss lol man ur shit hot love it

  • @BarbababaBabarMama its the heel toe technique...

  • @dopeboy182 No its called slide technique...

  • @SirRamboi its heel toe read the title of the vid

  • it's slide technique

  • @blueshit159 its Heel Toe Read Title Of Vid

  • @BrownBoyRosh sure you can just read the title, but his doing slide, for he isn't hitting the board with his heel, he just does very quick slides. His got the heel-toe technique but his doing slide.

  • @BrownBoyRosh im pretty sure

  • @BrownBoyRosh It doesnt really look like heel toe.It kinda looks like the slide thing. But thats just me.

  • what foot technique is this?

  • What setting do you use on your Trigger module for the kick? Is it a D4 or DM5?

  • Beautiful pillow loll^

    Great job!

  • what are those 2 black things in the middle of your bass drum? on which his beaters are hitting?

  • Kick pads. They usually have metal or hard plastic to accent the bass.

  • @hmfvunit impact pads

  • how do you get that fast ???

  • i'm not knocking this guy or his drumming. i just usually notice that the guys with great foot speed/technique usually lack in hand speed and skill. (i have not seen this guy play im not saying that applies to him) just in most cases that seems to be the case.

  • Your right though. I've been a progressive drummer for years and one time I said something about doing a para-rythem and the kid had no idea what that even was. he actually said (typed) "Para what? yeah thats great but how fast can you blast speed?" When did speed become talent? LOL

  • what the fuck is a parar-ythem?

  • Are you just trying to sound tough or do you really want to know? If you do, I'll send you a clip of me doing a couple different patterns, or some sheet 'TAB'. If ya take a minute to understand a 'P-R's basic's, you will have opened a whole new door for yourself. There's nothing like coming up with your first unique pattern.....! So...do you really want to know?

  • no seriously explain it to me. i was thinking you might have just seriously fucked up in saying polyrhythm but it seems thats not the case. so please go on

  • LOL No NO...you got it! Same thing. I'm just used to PARA because the J.C. tutors would teach a polyrhythm by combining two seperate pararythm's. Anyway! What do you think of the drum pattern in the first two verses of "Push it" by "TOOL"?

  • oh right. well it could have been a confusion in the dialect then. i havent heard pushit by tool even though i do actually quite like them. il have to give it a listen. and i think you should listen to just about any meshuggah song. their packed full of polyrhythms and polymetres

  • are his heels even hitting????

  • No! I drilled this guy pretty good so let me tell ya what I got......! First, no, heels are not touching pedal board. Second, Ya can't really tell in the vid but he's not going 'south-north' like he shows in the beginning, he's doing a 'swivel' which 'south/west to north/east or 8 oclock to 2 oclock. (8 being slightly down the board and 2 being the movement up the board) Hope that helped!

  • then why is it called heel toe exercise? can you answer that for me? and inside voices dude :) and i think he has his left doin swivle and right slide, idk i could be wrong :/

  • Okay...good question. This actually isn't heel toe. (HT) Why he calls it HT...I don't know. HT is literally the heel at the base of the pedal then the toe at the top. What this guy is doing is called a dbl stroke or 'Continuous Stroke'. (bcuz you can do a beat both ways)

This guy is crazy fast. I'm gonna put up some vids of some DBL Bass stuff that is pretty quick but as far as the DBL Stroke...this guy is the fastest I've seen. I'm pretty fast but I can't touch this guy. Don't feel left out.

  • how in the........

  • is that a DM5 module?

  • It's a D4

  • why cant my bass drum sound like that

  • hes using DRum TRIGGERS

  • and hes got his beaters on backwards

  • dw 9000 beaters are 2 way felt or hard plastic.

  • your kickdrum is epic, what is it?

  • this is unique.

he's doing slide on his right foot and swivel on his left foot

  • srsly bro.... wow that was amazing!!

  • This is what I have been looking for!!!!Guys unless you can play shit like this dont put up videos please, this a beautiful example of amazing foot work that takes for ever to develop, thank you for sharing this amazing techique with us brother!!!!!!Hail

  • XD YOU PUT BLANKET IN KICK DRUM AS REPLACEMENT FOR KICK DRUM PILLOW THING NICE THINKING xD

  • wow very clean.

  • hey how are you settings can you make a video with your settings cus i recently purchased a used one and cant seem to get it adjusted correctly

  • profesor

  • good sound

  • trigger

  • im getting sick of ur foot work damn.. i luve it...

  • Man i love the sound of your triggers

  • I could be wrong, but to me that sounds like marching rudiments.. I heard tap drag and 5 drag with a check.. Hand practices, only with the feet.. Thats the only way i can think of learning his technique.. Most metal drummers do single roles but i almost like his better..

  • how did you start practising, like what do you do eventually to do that as I just start playing double kick.... awesome video.

  • sounds nice man keep it up!

  • very nice man

you also have the swivel goin on with your left foot!!

  • holy crap is all i have to say dude

  • Yo!

What kind of triggers do you have?

  • Trigger: Roland RT-10K

    Module: Alesis D4

  • This is the slide technique, not heel-toe.

  • wow way to abuse the sound of the drum and use a drum trigger

  • very impressing, kepp working with it :D

  • i gotta learn me tHis !!!!

  • wow

  • definitely not heel-toe (i think you actually have to use your heel to consider it heel-toe, lol) but nice SLIDE TECHNIQUE ;D

    nice speed, descent consinstency

    impressive

  • Thanks

  • Ok ur foot ability is great! But we can actually see you play a drum kit.

  • maybe

  • great stuff here, but i dun think its heel toe, whatever works for speed! for you bro. heel toe or toe toe, great playing there

  • what triggers and module do you use? and what pedal is that DW something?

  • its a DW 9000 double pedal

  • Roland RT-10K trigger.

  • That doesn't look like Heel-Toe at all. Looks more like Toe-Toe double strokes to me. It's probably just the video causing that effect, but what you're doing has more flow to it, so if it's not Toe-Toe, you've done a great job at practicing Heel-Toe.

  • It is toe-toe, but most people recognize the heel-toe title and tag so that;s why I refer to it as that. It's a whole marketing conspiracy.

  • its more of a constant release technique!!! watch jojo mayer's modern drummer performance!! and during his song. pleasure control, there he is doing a heel toe!!!

  • sick!!! just, imo, your bass drum trigger sound is a lil too triggered sounding!!! but thats just me!!!! lol KEEP IT UP BRO!!!

  • Thanks

  • That is great! Great timekeeping too!

  • DW 9002 pedals? +D

  • good jobs, can u watch my video i want to have a comment 4 u cos your so great, arjee the hinete is the file name, dont lougth im just a beginner tanks alot, and good paying..god bless!!!!!

  • thats a lovely blanket..

  • Good stuff man...sounds just like the old grid patterns I played back in college...I'mma have to work that out

  • not gunna lie, thats fucking sick

  • how the fuck?? amazing!

  • yer sick man

  • best double strokes I heard so far... Good job

  • Thanks

  • badass

  • How do you have your pedals set?

  • Springs very tight, beater about 6 inches off the the head

  • veryyyyyyyy nice!!!!!!!! thanks man

  • Nice trigger sound, thats the roland unit?

  • Yes. It's a Roland trigger RT-10K to be exact. Using an old Alesis D4 for the sound module.

  • METAL!

  • i just bought this pedal yesterday and wasnt sure bout it. but apparently its alright lol

  • awesome...like the sound of ur bass

  • FUCKIN SICK drumming.. i cold use those rolls on heavy shit.. u fuckin inspired me to hit notes with the double kikin technique

  • love that bass

  • the bass sounds sick

  • do u use triggers?

  • (sic)!

  • BASTARD!!..lol...so sweet!

  • damn, how long did it take for you to master this technique?? ist just doubles with every foot heel up? rrllrrllrrll

  • yeah rrllrrll

  • and how long did it take to learn it?

  • jees i got to start at like 6 bpms to do singles on double bass. getting my let leg to work is a pain in the butt now. But I want those feet lol.

  • lol i feel you on that...

i'm just hitting the 170bpm area, and that's with ~2 months of solid practice!

  • haha well im only just getting to 210 and i got my first double pedal like 4 months ago so it gets there fast if you practice. id do gallops first cos there really good for building ankle endurance and speed

  • nico one

  • nice

  • pretty cool!!!!!!!! anyway i think that once u get to that point u can try out different ostinatos.. ure really in your blood with doubles man... nice!

  • thanks man i appreciate it

  • Sounds like a toy machine gun bruuuummuppummpmum lol

  • whats your view on ddrum triggers?

  • They're fine good for toms, durable but I think I like Roland for the kick

  • amazing thanks man im going to try that

  • :O! nice man you inspire me for real thanks dude :D

  • How can you go so fast with those dw beaters man? nice

  • hey i notice you have a trigger i was thinking of buying one and was wondering....do you have to get anything speacial for a tigger or just plug it straight into the amp?

  • You need a module(brain) to give it the kick sound. If you go straight into an amp it will sound pretty bad. I'm using an Alesis D4 module, and a Roland RT-10K trigger. The whole setup cost me just under $150. Just check out eBay.

  • thanks man

  • are those doubles?

  • yes they are double stroke rolls

  • Amazing footwork dude! damn i wish i could do that. how tight should spring tension be to play like that?

    thanks

    -Ian

  • Right now I have it as tight as it will allow. But I've also played it pretty loose as well. Try out both and find out what works best for you.

  • you fucking rock dood

  • fuck yeah

  • do you have a kit?

    if so what

    great speed also!

  • Yes I do have a kit. It's a DW.

  • that bass sounds really good!

  • fukin awsome , just wondering , what kik do u have and do u think the DW 4002P is any good for a starter,, also how long have u been practicing ur foot work on the double??

  • The kick I'm using is a 18" x 22" DW. But I'm using a trigger setup that includes a Roland RT-10K(trigger), Alesis D4(module), and a Samson 4 channel mixer. All you're actually hearing is the module. I'm not super familiar with the 4002 but it appears to be a solid pedal for the money. I've been playing the double pedal for roughly 3 years. I practice alot!

  • Sehr Gut... what Drum Pedal is?

  • DW9000

  • hey, youre good

  • this is cooooolio sounds like a machine gun

  • YEAH! fucking machine gun

  • nice pillow! =P lol

  • that is good...but it looks like doubles...like a heel toe type of motion or just plain o'l virgil donati or thomas lang style doubles....either way it sounds tight and thats awesome....i cant go that fast..yet lol

  • WAW WAW!!! EXCELLENT MEC!!!!

  • wow man... going to receive my DW 9002 probably monday and now my goal is to be as good as you dude

  • you got me dying for a nice snare pop somewhere in there. . . lol

  • Nice man. I would like to ear that without trigger to see how it sounds too.

  • man that was neat

  • what technique are u usin? i try to play that fast with me feet butt i cant seem to get enought speed.

  • how exactly do triggers work? what do you use them with and everythin?

  • trigger is connected to drum module and thats it. triggers is making your bass drum(any drum) to electronic drum

  • yeah, good technique, especially the beater motion is very good. and the sound....its awesome!

  • I absolutely love that drum sound!!!!

  • holy nice!

can u say me a really good exercise for double bass? or just keep practis?

  • that bass drum sounds good are you using a d4 or what?

  • yeah

  • awsome

  • nice performance

  • what pedals are they?

  • maybe DW 5000

  • I think it's DW9000

  • DW9000

  • i guess you can do all kinds of kick methods..amazing

  • thnx that worked!!!

i have a show tomarrow so just in time!!!
