you are right about asking things in Jesus name. but dont knock the catholics! @nwilbourn Nobody said I didn't care about my grandparents intercession!!! While they were here on earth, I thank God for their prayers b/c it is by them that I am who & what I am today! My point being is that now that they are gone from here, what do I look like asking them to pray for me? They are asleep & will be raised from the dead when the first trumpet sounds like everybody else who has gone on before them and after. Jesus is the only one who was dead & yet lives!!!
@nwilbourn As far as Catholics go, people can believe whatever they want to. I have friends of many different denoms & we all discuss our differences, however, the Catholic church is not completely Bible based! A lot of it is a bunch of man-made foolishness (though all denoms have a lil of that within them), that can't be found in the Bible anywhere! Have u read the Catholic Bible & seen some of the differences N there? God is a jealous God & nothing or no one comes b4 Him...not even His mother!
Why are some people so ignorrant? Well I'll try to be brief. The Baptist church as we know it today N the U.S. was started back N 1639 by Roger Williams & John Clarke N Providence & Newport, R.I. The Baptist Church is the LARGEST, (& OLDEST), Protestant group of evangelicals IN THE WORLD with WELL over 110 million members (close to 40 million in the US), & somewhere close to 1/4 million congregations worldwide!! We have a rich history & I'm proud to have been born & raised in the Baptist Church!
yet the catholic church dominates over all religions and the catholic church was started by JESUS CHRIST. not by some MAN!!! the catholic church has been around for 2000 years!!!!!
Yes the HOLY Catholic Church is the "mother" of churches today, but whether or not is was started by Jesus Christ is still up for debate! It In NO WAY could have been started by Jesus for a # of reasons, but 2 of the most relevant being that there is NO WAY Jesus would have us pray to His Mother Mary & not directly to Him! Whatever we need we are 2 ask in JESUS' name...not Mary's & # 2, We no longer have 2 go 2 a priest 2 confess anything once the Vail of the Temple was ripped from top 2 bottom!
Well unfortunately, there is one thing wrong with that...She's Dead!!! That would be like me asking my grandfather to pray for me...HE'S DEAD!!! I know it sounds nice to be able to say that he is in Heaven praying for me, but the reality is that JESUS is the ONLY person who lived on Earth N the flesh & has now descended N2 Heaven w/His Father & makes intercessions for you & me!!! The rest of those who are dead (including Mary) will rise from the dead on the 2nd coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!!!
The Great and most Respected organist Pastor eric Thomas. Im tellin you, Young Musicians learn to Read Music. eric Does. You Cant play For Fellowship and Alot of Churchs if You Cant Read music. especially if its an AME or methodist or SDA church.
I understand what u saying, but can't in christ don't go togehter..I've been playing for churches all across pasco county florida by ear since i was 16 and so have many other annointed musicians....it's just like a beautician being annointed to do hair withour any formal training
Playing by Ear is Good. but God Said in All thy Teachings and learning Get an Understanding. thats Why he placed beethoven and bach where they was. even Doe They wasnt Christ like. Thats why he said master That Craft. Youre probably Dodging That area anyway. I started playing at 14, I read music and has Relative Pitch and I studie and master my Craft. Thats why i said what I said about pastor eric Thomas. dont just play the organ, master it. and I Go To bible class.
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1) No Baptist, Catholic, Protestants, Orthodox, Adventist, JW, etc. only Christians helping and sharing.
Going by the faces I see, I think I recorded this in the very early 90s. 90-93. Reggie had hair. CERTAINLY prior to '96 when the 312 area code changed.
All is Well, All is Well, we give thanks for the affirmative praise to our GOD, who makes all things work out alrite if we just put our trust in him, we must get of the way- so God can get in the way= Let Go and Let God!!!
Why can't I find the Baptist church the the Bible? Matt 7:21-23 Jesus said, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." BE A N.T. CHRISTIAN
Why do we get so caught up on denominations? Do you think all Baptist churches are doomed for hell? Are there any Baptist churches standing on the unadulterated Word of God? I'm Non-denominational, and we preach holiness. I believe there are Baptist churches who teach holiness and the apostolic commission as well. Just trying to figure out what the hatred is for. As long as the TRUE WORD is preached in its FULLNESS, then to God be the glory. Doubt if Heaven is segregated in denominations.
What in the world are u talkin about?? U can't find any denomination in The Bible including the Church of Christ!!! It's just a name...as long as the Gospel is being preached...what difference does it make?? I swear denomination is gonna send more people to hell than we will ever know!!! I thank God for my upbringing, & I am proud to be a member of a Baptist church...but I got sense enough to know that the name on the outside of the building is just that...a name!!! It's all about relationship!!
All Is Well is a phrase that the Rev. James Cleveland used to say all the time at the GMWA Convention. I miss Rev. Cleveland also. Incidently for those of you who may or not know the GMWA Convention is being held the last week of July this year and in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio. Come on join us if you can still register.
ol eric is a pastor now over at greater harvest baptist church!!!! the director reginald mccracken is a pastor too. his church is called the church of our lord and savior.
OMG! everytime i see this clip it touches me! and when he said get out of my face satan that wipes me out everytime!!! this is the fellowship i love and remember!!
Pastor Eric Thomas is killing that old trusty black b-3 from the ship, that organ was awesome, Pastor Eric, is one of the greatest organist in Chicago, he can go from First Church of Deliverance sound to a Contemporary sound of the new organist, this video takes me back to the 9pm broadcast at the ship on sunday nights
I praise God for my Senior Pastor Reverand Clay Evans the founder of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and. I can remember this day singing and caught up in the spirit of the Lord! Yes,All is Well!
all is well. can anyone remember how pastors would always interrupt the choir to enhance the message being sang? Especially to a song like this when you just sit and rock from left to right cuz you don't know what to do with yourself?
Yes this brings back so many memories as a young child!!! I am only 26 but love the hymns, and old music of the church! Take note people around my age and younger, this is what you call having church. Aint nobody jumping round like monkeys or anything crazy LOL!!! Just standing flat-footed singing and allowing God to use you and look how the Spirit just came in and took over!!! Nothing against the contemporary artists out there, but to me there is no comparison.
If anyone has more video of Eric Thomas playing the organ, please post!! He is truly an annointed organist. It wouldn't shock me if they'd had to replace the organ once he got up! MY GOD! GLORY! I BETTER LEAVE THAT ALONE!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Pray for my soul, go ahead. Because prayers are pointless. God already knows I'm supposedly an atheist, so he can help me yourself. He doesn't need you to prayer, unless he only helps people who get prayed for, which is quite stupid.
I mean, when you get something in surprise that you didn't pray for, it's a blessing. When you don't get something you prayed for, it's God's will. So, the prayer system lost a ton of credibility...
Praying is getting on your knees and talking to yourself.
listen if you christians are upset with my atheism, then do the Christian thing and forgive me
Christianity is beautiful in that it gives people faith and optimism, but it should never be taken literally or be smeared in the faces of those "sinners"
yuppersz and this is all just a big misunderstanding it is good to pray ofr someone else but peole who are not christians just arent christians but we can all still associate with each other
Does this choir still sang like this under the new hip-hop pastor's leadership? I'd like to know because I will be visiting the windy city soon. I may drop in! Old school at its very best!! Attention young people!!! SCHOOL IS IN!
I tell you everytime i hear this song. At the end i can feel the Holy Ghost. I'm tyryna tell I'm in my houst tyring to contain the praise. Heyyyyyyyyyyyyy Shama!
I feel you! I was trying to leave a comment and couldn't contain myself! What this brotha does with that organ is truly the annointing. Take note of 08:00 until the video ends, close your eyes and meditate on the words. Listen as Eric praises god on the Hammond B-3...truly amazing!!!!
This is a Hymn titled "All is well," However this arrangment being sung is a little different than the orginal version in a Hymn book. The words are endless regardless. All is well. May not be better, but all is well.
yeah...i thought there was a verse to this song also...it went somethings like..."When my burdens get heavy..." or somethinglike that...but i still love this song....
When sickness overcomes me and this old body is wracked with pain, and I know the doctor has done all he can do---I'm gonna look up, gonna look up towards Heaven cuz I know my help is on the way, and all I need to say is All Is Well
I just listened to the GMWA version again. It's more of a duet or some praise team singing it. The way it is on this video is the same version of the Indy Choir. The choir doesit. However, there is a verse to the orginal song. That's the only thing this choir left out.
Amen Rondell922. I was in the GMWA Mass Choir during the recording of this "All Is Well" song written by Al Hobbs, indianapolis Chapter, GMWA. There was another "All Is Well" recorded on the same project written by Bishop Roger Hairston, Columbus Ohio GMWA Chapter. GMWA decided to put both "All Is Well" songs on the cd, and what a blessing both songs have been, and still are.
Beautiful singing. Enjoying the songs with meaningful words more than a beat of thumping. The thumping has its place but times of lately call for words of encouragement and strength. All may not be well but "all is well."
This guy is truly a great organist. He is really doing a great job in this song. I'd like to hear some other music played by this guy. What church is he playing for currently?
His name is Eric Thomas, he is now Pastor of Greater Harvest I believe (also in Chicago). He studied music @ Northwestern and believe me when I say he is an underrated Gospel Talent.
Does he play much anymore now that he's pastoring? Trust me I beleive you. This guy is truly doing a GREAT job on this song. I'd like to hear some more of his playing.
My Aunt who recently passed away use to say "All is Well" all the time. This is the first time I've ever heard this song. It makes you want to attend church service immediately. And it brings back so many wonderful memories of my Aunt. Thanks for posting.
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your aunt. However, this is truly a touch song. I'm sure you feel in love with this one. I can listen to this song all the time. The song can be purchase out of the store. It's by Al Hobbs and the Indiania Mass Choir.
This clip blessed my spirit. I am so full. The Holy Spirit really swept through my room. Truly, all is well by faith. Sha-ma-ma, Ecclesio- sha-na. Oh, how this song caused the tongues to flow. Thank You Fellowship, for in this hearing, I am remindeded I have the victory.
Eric Thomas on the organ is now the Pastor at the Greater Harvest Baptist Church on 51st & State check them out, having church the way it used to be! Still!
The Fellowship reunion Choir will be Father Hayes Special Guest This Sunday Night, May 28, 2007 for his midnight musicals, which are second to none...we are going back to the old time way, having church the way it used to be. If you are in Chicago, please come by, and help us lift him up! MAy 27, 2007 At Cosmopolitan Church of Prayer 65th & Maryland, at midnight, follow the crowd, scrub boards and tambourines.
man i was 13 in the tenor section on this sunday, remember it like it was yesterday, and now I am 31 and I can truly say, all is well! Thank God for Rev. Evans, and all my Fellowship family, I have soo many of these telcast and musicals of various famous gospel artist that visited the ship..James Cleveland, Albertina, etc..stay tuned...
When I lived in Chicago in the early 90's I joined FELLOWSHIP and when I tell you I've long since left but my memories of my experience there still remain. I play my old service tapes, but seeing this clip does so much more for me. You just don't know how I enjoyed that church and miss that spirit. PLEASE ADD MORE CLIPS like this!!!
Amen! I'm a former member of Fellowship from the late fifties and during the sixties. I sang with the Young Adult Choir and the Fellowship Mass Choir, the Ship. Ronald Berry Hall was the organist and Wilbur Ranzie was director of the Young Adult Choir. Ludella Evans was Minister of Music and Director of the other choirs. Pastor Evans would take the Young Adult Choir to a lot of engagements with him. I really do miss Fellowship. We, Fellowship used to broadcast at 4:00 p.m. .
No I left Fellowship in nineteen-sixty nine, but I will never forget the experience of being a member of the Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Evans, Ludella Evans, Mrs. Thornton, Lee Charles, Ronald and others. The Ronald that passed and I were a part of the Young Adult Choir under Wilbur Ranzie and Ronald Berry Hall. We were all very young teenagers then. I have nothing but great memories of my time at Fellowship. I will always be a member of Fellowship regardless of where I am.
I forgot when I left Fellowship I joined the U.S.Army and met a number of guys from Chicago, Fellowship, First Church Deliverance and other churchs. We used to have our own church services right below the Big Water Tank on Tank Hill in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina.
The is no spiritual experience like a baptist church of the old school. There is only one thing that matches that : Discovering something new that no one saw before in Science.
I was referring to Ronald -- the tall slendar gentleman in the blue suit who runs across the front of the pulpit (towards the end of the video). He passed several years ago, but was known for this "Drunk in the Spirit" shout/dance. (Smile)Conincidentally, the man directing the choir is also named Ronald... but we call him Ronnie.
i love that old school baptist drag on the B3. That sound just does something to me!

If anyone has more video of Eric Thomas playing the organ, please post!! He is truly an annointed organist. It wouldn't shock me if they'd had to replace the organ once he got up! MY GOD! GLORY! I BETTER LEAVE THAT ALONE!

Praying is getting on your knees and talking to yourself.

real christian of you to not listen to me
listen if you christians are upset with my atheism, then do the Christian thing and forgive me
Christianity is beautiful in that it gives people faith and optimism, but it should never be taken literally or be smeared in the faces of those "sinners"

This is a Hymn titled "All is well," However this arrangment being sung is a little different than the orginal version in a Hymn book. The words are endless regardless. All is well. May not be better, but all is well.

What are the lyrics to this song or is it in a hymn book cause I would love to teach this to my choir

naw my brother this is GMWA version, I was listening to it this morning,
rondell922 4 years ago
OK.... I 've heard the GMWA version as well. Have you heard the Indy Lass Choir Version? There is a big difference
FuneralDirectorRM 4 years ago
I just listened to the GMWA version again. It's more of a duet or some praise team singing it. The way it is on this video is the same version of the Indy Choir. The choir doesit. However, there is a verse to the orginal song. That's the only thing this choir left out.
FuneralDirectorRM 4 years ago
You are so right my brotha. I sang with the GMWA Mass Choir when this song was recorded. Yes it was written by Al Hobbs in Salt Lake City, Utah.
goodstiff 2 years ago
this song was recorded by the GMWA Mass Choir live at Salt Lake City on Savoy Label 1990
rondell922 4 years ago
The one this choir is doing is a better arrangement than the GMWA. The one Rev. Clay Evans is doing is from the arrangement of Al Hobbs.
FuneralDirectorRM 4 years ago
Matter of fact it's Al Hobbs and the Indy Mass Choir
FuneralDirectorRM 4 years ago
Amen Rondell922. I was in the GMWA Mass Choir during the recording of this "All Is Well" song written by Al Hobbs, indianapolis Chapter, GMWA. There was another "All Is Well" recorded on the same project written by Bishop Roger Hairston, Columbus Ohio GMWA Chapter. GMWA decided to put both "All Is Well" songs on the cd, and what a blessing both songs have been, and still are.
goodstiff 3 years ago
Beautiful singing. Enjoying the songs with meaningful words more than a beat of thumping. The thumping has its place but times of lately call for words of encouragement and strength. All may not be well but "all is well."

FuneralDirectorRM 4 years ago
His name is Eric Thomas, he is now Pastor of Greater Harvest I believe (also in Chicago). He studied music @ Northwestern and believe me when I say he is an underrated Gospel Talent.

Does he play much anymore now that he's pastoring? Trust me I beleive you. This guy is truly doing a GREAT job on this song. I'd like to hear some more of his playing.

In Chicago you got a lot of good preaching. Thurston, Meeks, Parson, Trotter, Elliott, Henton. There isn't enough hours on Sunday to get to them all.

We, Fellowship used to broadcast at 4:00 p.m. .
goodstiff 3 years ago
were you at the 1989 festival of flowers broadcast when composser glen burleigh was there.

I will always be a member of Fellowship regardless of where I am.
goodstiff 2 years ago
I forgot when I left Fellowship I joined the U.S.Army and met a number of guys from Chicago, Fellowship, First Church Deliverance and other churchs. We used to have our own church services right below the Big Water Tank on Tank Hill in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina.

Is Ronald the one who is directing the choir, how and when did he pass on
BrothaRollins 4 years ago
I was referring to Ronald -- the tall slendar gentleman in the blue suit who runs across the front of the pulpit (towards the end of the video). He passed several years ago, but was known for this "Drunk in the Spirit" shout/dance. (Smile)Conincidentally, the man directing the choir is also named Ronald... but we call him Ronnie.
