I have just bought such computer for 40 euros only and want 2 install windows 7 here, coz my chef wurde gern es probieren. It has 512 Mb RAM what I have to expand up to 1Gb. Now it has Vista, what running here relatively good, though Vista is slow OS. We, russians, say: Vista visla, visnet i budet visnut' (Vista hanged, hangs and will hang computers)

@phombitronics Yes ! But I have a Problem On Widows Seven and XP .The PCMCIA card don't work (I tried two different) in device manager he says to me "Unknown device" and it does not recognize the drivers. Please can you help me !

i really need the video drivers for the thinkpad t23 , i got everything eklse working except the video and i dont think my miodel has a wifi card installed on it cus ive installed the drivers but still no notifications of drivers missing can u possibly help me with the video issue

Can you please tell me where you found the video driver for this to work, cus ive got the 1in 7 os installed and all the options are running except the ability to change the screen resolution, can you please help me out

I put 7 on my laptop a few days ago after my coworkers hooked me up with it when i was doing my job at an IT department. after trying it for several days, I like how well it handles everything. I can browse the internet fine, listen to my music, and even write a quick document. Nothing too fancy though.

man i hate people who think OSes will simply not run......any computer will run any os.......its not simply going to say "nope....im not runnig windows vista...." like a program would.....sure you could run it on there......but its slow as HELLLLL.......fuck i could run 7 on a pentium1 if i really wanted....the minimum specs make it so that it runs at proper speed...when you put it on here....your just stupid

u no i take back what i said.i was basing this on vista.....i just installed windows 7 on my laptop expecting it to suck....it actually works quite well....i got all the drivers to work and everything...but i just have one prob.....what DVD player do you guys use on the t23....cuz i tried vlc and windows media player and none of them work i just get a blank screen.....

Nice boot time for the new OS on that old T23. I've tested it on a variety of hardware, everything from a 512M P3 733, a standard netbook (Atom N270, 1GB ram, 160G drive) to higher end core 2 duo machines. Works great on all hardware. My regular test platform was a P4 2.4Ghz IBM Thinkcentre with 1GB RAM. It never lagged on this 5 year old box. They have done a great job with Windows 7.

u no guys....i just put ubuntu 9.04 on mine....it is running so well you have no idea...it didnt strugle putting drivers at all....everything works perfectly....it works alot better than windows 7 did....just puttin it out there...stick around might put a video of it soon!

yea...the company i bought this from..pull a trick on me and gave me a bad battery that doesnt charge...so if i plug it out the computer shuts down...im broke so i cant afford a new one..haa

i think you should remove the battery on the laptop... so it will stop blinking, and also to prevent the battery fluid to leak on the laptop... i got the same problem before and i had some rusted terminals because of the leak :(

it is a good buy already for the buyer of that laptop... what OS will you put on that machine when you sell it? windows 7?
