that is very impressive for your age and being on a unicycle...no offense though most people in my highschool track can run 1/4 mile in around 50-55 seconds
@hbrayprod I could too but a runner can get up to speed immediately. With a big unicycle like this that weighs 18lbs, you lose time mounting and getting up to speed. That means to finish a lap in even 58 seconds, and to make up for that lost time, I had to hit max speeds much higher than your track runners! Close to 19 mph!
@ttt8699 yeah now i understand i thought you were gunna have a rolling start and just start the time when you roll over the start. yes i want to try this with my unicycle lol i will probly not make it seeing as a have a 19" or a 26" to choose from haha.
What you're eating for a diet may also have a bit to do with it. If you're eating a vegan diet with a lot of raw fruits and veggies then it would be no problem. Look up Mimi Kirk at 70 years old and tell me that she looks or acts 70. Regardless though, your performance is to be commended. :)
@ttt8699 I just learned to ride the 20" unicycle and am ok. It expends much more energy than a bike, and I was just wondering if there a way to coast, like on a bike, or do I have to pedal constantly?
This is what got me to keep riding my unicycle when I was a kid. I love to go fast, but I don't have anything larger than a 24-incher (Miyada). So, on my wish-list now, is a 36-inch Coker with the street tread tire.
for 400m i got 1:06 on my 26", good run there i can only hope ill still be booking it at your age haha keep it up

I got 1:18.3 on a 24'' unicycle, I have complete respect for you (unicycle wise).

Finally got my 36er up and running, with a 29er tube!
So far, I've been able to hit a max speed of 17.8 mph with 125mm cranks, so I might have to try this challenge!

I might have to take my 27" to the track after seeing this, 100mm cranks might be too short for all out speed though.
