You should all read Gorillaz Rise of the Ogre book, there are quite good facts about the animated characters of Gorillaz. For example 2-D, he doesn't have eyes, Murdoc knocked both of them out. Russel was kidnapped by Murdoc, whit a bag over his head. And noodle arrived in a FedEx box.

So instead, they drew out the full storyboard for the fans, the slight possibility that one day they'll actually make the video. I think that's why their new connection to Converse is how they made the new video for Doyathing.

I have to agree with TruWuFFY. The storyboard is perfect and somewhat clear: the Boogieman flees while getting shot, forms an army (he's a powerful demon) and launches an attack to the beach, including infantry, planes and a whale . Also shows a flashback with Murdoc making a deal with him, possibly to kidnap 2D, which is the reason why he's after Murdoc. Russel appears and saves the day. He brings Noodle which now has a nasty bruise, and she faces her robotic copy in the end.

@makaiserable the storyboard fits the song perfectly, the stills look much better then any animation will, its clearer and the songs mood works amazingly when played against a pictorial backdrop. it adds a certain effect that matches the tone of the music. its not that it looks cool its that it works perfectly already. some songs dont fit animation, some fit stilled images much better and i promise this song does.

Just watch the video, when everything goes red you see 4 horsemen, one with a sword (War), one with a sythe (Death), one with a bow (Conquest), and one with scales (Famine). There isnt really a horseman called pestilence - but even if there was this guy in the gas mask would have made it 5 horsemen anyway.
