I know this is odd, but the dynamics between me and my boss were extremely similar to Dr. Cox and JD, the slight difference being that I never had a father. My boss was my first and only real father figure, and today was his last day at my company. I hugged him for the first time in five years of knowing him. This scene perfectly summed up my feelings and made me laugh through my tears.

@morgantown1 Only the very last, 9th season sucks. Or in fact it doesn't 'suck', it's just nowhere near as good as the other ones. But as a true Scrubs fan, you'll still have to watch them I guess ... especially since JD still has some appearances, at least in the first few episodes.

Scrubs was about JD's life so a show about someone else's life should be called something else, like Doctors in training or something.

@mofu11281 That's the point though - by getting Dr. Cox to (occasionally and grudgingly) take down his defensive wall, JD effectively made him a better teacher, in that he was willing to give positive reinforcement as well as his usual sarcastic asides - this gets turned around in season 9 when JD has to learn to accept that Cox will now be willing to mentor others in the same way.

words cannot express the tears that went down my face as i watched the finale especially that bit when jd sees his future. This moment aswell, almost felt like a summary of scrubs. it was just beautiful. Scrubs is not just a tv show, its also a documentary on what everyone wants know about. life. Scrubs writers have done a wonderful job in making such a magnificent show.
