The largest employer in the State of Georgia is a fucking air-force base. It's the fastest growing region because of the copious annual influx of Federal tax dollars received. The South's economic prosperity is an illusion, the North East is actually dramatically wealthier. We just lack the recession proof welfare expenditures generously provided by Uncle Sam to the Southern States.
The Sotuh is the fastest growing region because the Northeastern United States already have attained economic superiority years ahead of other parts of the country. In a democracy of 3 people, 2 of the 3 could vote to take and split the money of the 3rd person and it would be entirely democratic and legal. But in a republic of 3, the rule of law (normally a constitution) is above all and would not allow the 2 to deprive the other 1 of his liberties and money. That's the basic difference - one is essentially mob rule while the other is the rule of law.

Well, you could change the constitution in a republic, though it would take time and probably a very large majority. But in a democracy you don't even really need a constitution because simple numerical majorities decide everything. So, a person's rights could vary from one day or month to the next with the ever-changing tide of (big media-controlled) public opinion. I love how the narrator goes on about bringing aliens in. Does he not realise the irony? Everyone in america originnally were either indians or mexicans. This guy sounds pretty white to me. Could you please explain how you are not an alien then.

If we allow people who don't support america to come here we are welcoming it's destruction. I have no problems with mexicans, as long as they persue the proper legal measures and support republicanism and American rights.

At 2:30 of this video you have shown the Minuteman Statue. It is an Offense to me that the following words allude to that Symbol as an Enemy of Southern Culture - what is the South if not American, and who were the Patriots who bled the ground red at Lexington and Concord, in Massachusetts? My ancestor fought there on April 19th, 1775 - my own birthday Sir is the 19th of April. I find that allusion an Offense against all Our Country; and yes, the South is part of my Country too Sir.

No disrespect intended agains the Minutemen. I salute them for their struggle. They definitely weren't enemies of the South. However, New York and Mass. and all the rest of that is NOT our country. Those are a different culture, different people. My country is South Carolina and the South - not an Empire of 300 million people that bullies nations around the globe. Our country - Dixie - is occupied by the Fed. Government, sadly. The sooner we are free from Washington, DC the better.

I was born in Louisiana and live in Europe for work related reasons. I refuse to vote as I have no faith in the American governmental system. I don't doubt that brave people are in the American forces, but no patriotic Southron in his right mind would join them. A pro-Isreali Southron is quite concerning- I'm sad to see so many in Dixie as mislead as you are.

Sounds like a beautiful dream, certainly my wish.
But I submit to you, sir, that Christianity, ardently sought, is the ultimate solution, and my home is in heaven, I assure you, my Southland, I sing about. People are people and I wish that some political change would avail; it would be better in many ways! In the meantime I'll push for Virginia, and mourn its return, as I currently live northwards, to me. Christianity affords honest government, and is, alas, the only solution. I'll influence.

All your comments are the same. I've read 6 of them now. We have no hatred towards any minority. And women are of course half of the Southron population. We're not trying to recreate the past. We're trying to free ourselves from a horrible government (DC) so that we can survive as a people and culture in a more free environment. This threatens no one.

there were free blacks, slave blacks and blacks who owned slaves. i know that. and racism is all over the place, not just the south. i am actually afraid of bigotry, racism and stupidity. again, i love the south with a passion, but i don't think fighting a war that has been fought and lost over 140 years ago, is gonna fix anything.

In a democracy of 3 people, 2 of the 3 could vote to take and split the money of the 3rd person and it would be entirely democratic and legal. But in a republic of 3, the rule of law (normally a constitution) is above all and would not allow the 2 to deprive the other 1 of his liberties and money. That's the basic difference - one is essentially mob rule while the other is the rule of law.

Thanks. So basically a democracy could vote to change the Constitution but a republic cannot, so long as republicans stay strong, and that's why they're allowed to defend it. A democracy could vote itself out of existence (which we are in the process of doing in the UK, thanks to our incumbent government). I think I see it now and am forced to prefer a republic. The founding fathers were a remarkably farsighted lot.

Well, you could change the constitution in a republic, though it would take time and probably a very large majority. But in a democracy you don't even really need a constitution because simple numerical majorities decide everything. So, a person's rights could vary from one day or month to the next with the ever-changing tide of (big media-controlled) public opinion. You're right, the Founders were very far-sighted - they disdained democracies and loved republics.

That's not quite true! 2/3 of West Va actually supported the Confederacy. WV was forced to become a new state by the Wheeling Unionists and Lincoln.

The statement in the video that Americans are based all over is true,i am English,not 15 miles from my door is the largest US military base in Europe,another is just a few miles from that one.I have grown up with Americans and they are good people and we have a long and shared history but i see the argument,the American Empire is going the way of all empires and will fall,the same as my country`s one did after WW2.The way forward is for smaller nation states,not large multi national empires.
