His father's gift??! That voice isn't just from his father. On the new album and songs he seems to be exploring singing and extending his technique in ways that may go beyond both of his parents, but I hear a quality in his voice from his mom. I don' t think she played with tricks and techniques, but just a note or two from her and my heart just melts down. This is my favorite song from the new album, I love the melody and the way he glides over the notes.
