Why does everyone bash Kirk Hammett? Seriously, Dave has no ill will against him anymore, so why does everyone else? I will admit, Dave Mustaine is a better guitarist than Kirk, but Kirk is almost just as big of a part of Thrash Metal as Dave. Why can't we all unite and see what Megadeth AND Metallica truly are? The two greatest bands of all time. What, would you have rather had Dave Mustaine in Metallica? I'll tell you, I wouldn't, because only ONE great band would exist instead of TWO.

@borisgf I completely agree with you about Dave being the pioneer of thrash, but on Metallica I disagree. A lot of people would say Megadeth is a bunch of noise as well, but we both know that is incorrect. Do I think Megadeth is more melodic than Metallica, no. Kirk Hammett's solos are much more melodic than Daves. But Daves solos are much faster and complex, as well as his rift writing. I like Megadeth more than Metallica, but i'm not ignorant about the music. Not saying your ignorant btw.

After reading the comments here, io thought i would sign up :)..I was in front of the radio tent that day and anyone who says Megadeth owned were not there! You could hardly even hear mustaine singing, the mix was crap, generally they were quiet. No mention has been made of the Almighty who were even better than Megadeth.

I was 16 and in the crowd.. 2 funny things.. when Metallica came on and sang seek and destroy, James put the mic into the crowd for the "seek and destroy" part.. he got 2 good ones and on the third he thrust the mic in front of this little nerdy kid ,his voice cracked like his balls were dropping.. the whole stadium started laughing. poor kid lol. Megadeath came on they were so quiet that a rumor spread around the stadium that Metallica had sabotaged their equipment lol.. it was an awesome show.
