There's talk about Africans having a low IQ and African immigrants lowering the US IQ. Honestly, I know some kids from Africa who can spell better than some Americans and African students who have received course exemptions in degree programs because of their high school education. Your exact words. A local Nigerian herbalist had nothing to do with it. It was researchers at the American-funded Nigerian National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development. Not that Nigerians don't get any credit for it. By all means the researchers should be applauded.

The are such herbalists all over Africa that have all kinds of herbs they use to treat any illness. The only problem they have is telling patients what dosage is right for them; because they don't have access to modern laboratories to conduct necessary tests to help them assign dosage to patients. Honestly, I know some kids from Africa who can spell better than some Americans and African students who have received course exemptions in degree programs because of their high school education. Look I have fond memories the blacks did have a raw deal but are they better off now? I worked with blacks and found them quite likeable and our black troops were the finest ever. The average IQ of Germany and Holland for example is 107 which is higher than China. IQ is not the end all be all of intelligence and Achievement, but it is an important indicator of intellectual capacity. The are such herbalists all over Africa that have all kinds of herbs they use to treat any illness. The only problem they have is telling patients what dosage is right for them; because they don't have access to modern laboratories to conduct necessary tests to help them assign dosage to patients. First, understand that these herbalists have collected ideas from many generations of other great herbalists. These days, some medical practitioners in Africa are combining native medicine with "textbook" medicine to treat patients. You find local herbs approved by national Health Ministries being sold in pharmacies. These are herbs that have been known to work well.

@sten971 Actually, the odds of blacks ever outnumbering whites in the US is REALLY slim, since birthrates have dropped dramatically for blacks in the last 50 years, and are still going down. It's Mexicans who stand the best chance at becoming a majority, but that's also a slim chance due to decreasing immigration.

At the moment, whites accounts for 16% of the population, and blacks account for 15%. This will expand for the blacks, of course, but stable out as Africa's population begins to die or be assimilated with the Chinese, both of which are already happening.
