I would love to see that dragon lunge it's head forward and spit fire towards the audience. Would've made such a huge and awesome effect :(

FANTASMIC DRAGON TO DEBUT TONIGHT 09/01!!!

Disney has officially announced that brand new, 45 ft. tall, fully audio-animatronic, fire-breathing Fantasmic dragon (aka Murphy) is going to premiere TONIGHT at the 8:15pm performance!

THIS IS NOT SPAM!!!

Be sure to take this with caution, because like always, everything is subject to change, but for now, the dragon will officially debut TONIGHT!

So, APs, grab your tickets and get your butts to Disneyland for the new dragon's debut!

I never saw Ursulas slithery things when i went last week. I went to see fantasmic just to see those becasue the dragon wasn't back yet and I was disappointed that i didn't see them. Does anyone know why??

They're already back. It was a result of one of the eels hitting a pyro barges. Only minor damage and the driver wasn't hurt. Night vision cameras were installed for the drivers so that visibility is easier.

i was in Disneyland ( not in the actual park) when they had the overnight tech rehearsal for the Dragon and it broke, the employees were talking about it the next day! it was neat to hear the stories of its head falling off!

Good news! Disneyland just confirmed that the new dragon will finally be making it's debut tommarow (Monday). There will first be a special performance and conference for the press at 5am and it will then make it's official public debut later evening at 8:15pm. It's about damn time.

cdgunzz97 that is right. This new drago. Will be a 40 foot high full body dragon that, from what I hear, will have more mobility than the first.

I agree with you. I saw the show Sunday and it just wasn't as cool without any dragon. Luckily, Disney had stated that the dragon will be back most likely during July.

when's the dragon coming into fantasmic?? i saw a vid made on june 12 and the dragon wasn't there. I'm going on June 24 and that only reason I'm going is to see it

I apologize, the dragon was slated to return June 12th but according to Disney officials due to technical difficulties its debut will be delayed and have not given a date.

They reackon the quickest it will be in 10 days, as the dragons head snaped straight off but they said it cud be upto 6 weeks.

Go online and look it up; there is Fantasmic in Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. I should know because my family has anual passes to there.

I can't even imagine what the dragon will look like in real life and in full motion. It looks freakin' badass. Way better than the goofy looking dragon head on a crane. I'm excited to see the new Maleficent Dragon, the new Crocodile, Flotsam, and Jetsam. But I really wish they would have added newer and more recent characters into the mix. That's kinda why I like the MGM version more because it has more recent characters.

Hahaha. I was thinking the same thing. Change the Peter Pan segment to a Pirates Of The Caribbean segment to make up for Disneyland getting rid of the Jack Sparrow actors. Not to mention maybe add more villains. The MGM version has double the amount of villains that the Disneyland version has.

I'd love to see Davy Jones with the Disney villains during the show. Mainly because the method used to project Davy Jones during the ride is the same method used throughout the show to project the different animations. Just imagine hearing "Dead men tell no tales" from the ride and all of a sudden Davy Jones's head appears out of nowhere from a wall of water during the show (in HD by the way) as he sais "Ahhhhh. But they do tell tales. So sais I: Davy Jones".

I believe Disney has said that obviously Fantasmic will run through the summer, but the new fireworks will only be there from june-august and then Remember dreams come true will return again. Ill try to find the link.

it will be permanent. there is no way they'd go through the trouble of building/installing a huge new dragon just to show it for 2 months :)
