@Ramjam9000 canadians run kandahar, there is about 2500 of them in controll of the district... it also happens to be the most dangerous non american run district in all of afghanistan
I was wondering where did all the anti war protestors go now that Obama is in office? The democratic party seemingly has no use for them any longer and they are strangely silent.
no , unfortunately , humans have been making and fighting wars since ..
its our nature , some say war is not needed . and i agree , but first we have to kill the bastards who are brainwashed to kill the infidel . it might not be their fault but the deed is done , and im sure they cant rethink , they fight next to uncles and cousins i mean wouldn't you ..but of course . they need to open their eyes ... and notice that there is a whole diff world from theirs that is better . democracy is needed
@tuttoz We'll always be the infidels because we're the invaders. Ever wonder why we still have troops in Iraq long after Saddam's dead? Or why we've had troops in Afghanistan for 10 years? It ain't to spread democracy. And it don't have jack shit to do with 9/11, never has. We been bamboozled. And we'll keep losing troops and flushing trillions down the toilet until we wake up as a country and end the war as we did during Vietnam.
@tuttoz True. Most don't care because they have not had a family member injured or killed in the conflict. I've been to over a dozen funerals. Makes it personal. And of course that's the reason why there's no draft. The impact is only felt directly by a fraction of the population. Sadly most people don't care if they're not directly affected. They don't even care about the trillion dollars price tag that's growing daily. Too proud? Nah, just too stupid.
you dont have the right to call people stupid who join because the have lost someone , it becomes personal once that happens ... and if you cant stand behind them , do us a favor and stand in front of them . and there is no draft because there is no need , there are a lot of patriots as well as lots who seek some type of revenge . if my dad was killed because of an IED or some piece of shit raghead , then guess where im going , TO GET ME SOME ! and thats the way it is ,
@tuttoz Not what I said. I joined and I served during Vietnam but that don't mean the war was a good idea. You join to serve and you go where you're sent. You trust your service will be in defend the our country and not to advance some political or corporate agenda. And you confuse standing behind our troops to mean supporting the war, they are not the same thing. Iraq was never a threat nor is it now, our people should come home today and heal from the trauma of the wars they have endured.
true , lions are lead by lambs these days , people behind desks .
i say , make a vote , whoever wants to stay , let them , whoever want out , let them .
the problem is Afghanistan and a lot of insurgents used iraq as a short cut to moving supplys . a lot of insurgents were gathered in iraq , never forget fallujah .
@tuttoz But you're missing the most important point, why are we there? Not because of any threat but because of the natural resources in that region. The opportunity to have and maintain combat troops in the middle east where most of the world's oil reserves are located. That's not a good enough reason for a single American to sacrifice their life. The British were in Afghanistan 100 years, we should learn from their mistake. Focus on taking back control of our government from the corporations.
iraq is another economic target , just like panama ... colombia , ect.
let whoever thinks the war is working stay .... others ... send them home ...
i mean , we can drop 1000s of bombs and 95 % can hit the target within 10 feet , but we cant fix a hole in the gulf ... let the ones who want to fight , fight ...
the taliban are there to stay ... you cant help being 5 years old and be thought to shoot with Kalashnikovs at Americans/ or the infidel . ...
we know for a fact that Afghanistan is the num 1 opium grower of the world , yet we dont stop that , why because it gives cops and and other federal govs offices a job to do .
Afghanistan, failed state... America always at war somewhere, always cause money, oil and politics full of lies. humanities biggest downfall... war. ha ha, fucking roaches... only one who wins is the gun makers and politicians.
This is done by NATO. Taliban does not have such kind of powerful bombs
My house is 5 km away from the incident place. one of room window was broken.
Taliban have never used as much of powerful bombs. for sure this is Air strike

Just shock and disappointment as hope for change fades. But this will soon pass and the protests sadly will resume. Will we never tire of war?
