Anyway... i just quit ROM deleted all my chars.. not because i understood that the game sucks, PVP is bad, ingame itemshop and diamond system is totally unbalanced and the idea that i need social life...no.. just the early ROM the chapter 2. was the best ever happened to ROM... the itemshops and dia trade was more or less equal and all players were equal according to their strength.. i remember those goodmoments of ROM in winter of 2010.. nonstop playing for 3 weeks with enthusiasm... now- GONE.
Pvp in this game is not anything resembling true pvp, its a freakshow, an epeenfest, and w/e else you wanna call it. Whoever gets the first shot off wins everytime. Its a disgusting 1-shotfest and has zero fun factor. Btw you did the vis fortress wrong, thats why it took you so long. I win in 2 mins flat or I don't win at all.
@ComandoPro1 its fun but if you wanna win and be the best be prepared to shell out thousands of dollars to stay on top...regardless of how this game is marketed it is NOT a f2p game. You can play for free you cannot win for free

@ugobarney Funny, I am downloading it as we speak.... but yeah once you can duel class it just get old. Imagine having to grind the same level 2x I made it to 23/19 duel class.... and I got horrid. After not having a mount and so little bag space; I started to run out of quests... on top of that the store thing is insane. No permanent mount unless you pay, only two bags unless you pay, if you mess up your duel class you have to pay..... The shop pissed me off almost as much as LOTRO)

He had an old version and RoM has changed a lot by then. PvP will recieve more balance (As stated in a previous patch not) and more balance to the classes. This video is completely outdated, and almost nothing he said in this vid was accurate as of today. He focused on nothing but pvp, pvp, pvp. It's not the only part of the game, the pve aspect is easily better than pvp, but it's still there as an option. And on the part of forums...don't listen to the forums on the website of any game, the only way you know if the game is good, is if you play through it. RoM is a great game i encourage every mmo fan to try out. Also, you suck at audio >.<

Yeah, but PvP in RoM is kinda dull too because of the repuration system.. you get like -5 or -10 per kill and when its -40 the 4.5Mill HP guards will attack you. You can kill them if you have your guild full of 62s to help you.. well that would just be a waste..but fun, kinda fun.
At the auction house, the first ones are blue mist shoulder guards. You can also get some from the elven island quests, and the next one comes from silverspring(broken needle and obscure knowledge shoulder guards)
@fallingwall17 no the pvp is horrible in WoW now and I set my WoW time around pvp since when the game first started. 30-40 min wait times to get into a BG and it ends in 15 min!? PvP is dead in WoW atm.
all free mmorpgs have got lots of preferences for the guys who pays, in RoM you can be king in PvP, in maplestory you can level up more than 4X faster etc, pay for a good mmo like WoW or Aion, or otherwise find a good private server, i'm playing on a wow private server with 16'000 players and i think it's funnier than RoM

Hey if ur looking for a great game for pvp, try FLYFF it's the same creaters of Allods. Gala and Gpotatoe, get to at lease lvl 60 which is easy before u deside if u like it
if u can get money in the actual game (which is gold) u can actually buy diamonds (the stuff u get from paying real cash) with it and the problem is solved.
Allods was fun until I realized passed lvl 20 if u die now ur best weapon's stats go negative and it turns red. Everytime you die it has a chance to get "cursed" which is really lame and why 50% of the Allods population went over to RoM.....
Most funny is that people greed money for good game, and for example they do not want to buy guild wars which is awesome almost free game (cuz u buy cd key once and play as long as gw exists). ANd they choose games such as room which in fact are nopt freee, cuz alot of important items can be purchased only for real money.
In my humble opinion Guild Wars is more free to play game rather than RoM!

Its only smart designed, so it seems like you dont have to pay, but when you level up you must spend real money to catch up with others, otherwise you will be far in behind, as alot of most usefull items, even essential for game, can be purchased almost only by diamonds. Well they sometimes can be obtained for free tokens you get for doin daily quest, but you can get max 100 a day and u cant buy them. So it would take too long to get em all for item

@pbExluusiv u can with Allods. MOST EXPENSIVE MMORPG 2010. Way more than WoW. The Graphics are breath takingly realistic. The only problem is that the exp lvl is EXTREMELY LOW and gets boring real quick, but if u make alive for 3 years, u might reach lvl 30.
I just recently started playing Runes because I was looking for a change of pace from Warhammer online. Yet all these FREE MMO's really do is make me miss WAR. Not a bad game for those who aren't willing to pay the sub. fee, but if you like truly intense full scale PvP then playing a game like this, or WOW for that matter, is taking a huge step backwards. The gritty look and feel of WAR, unique classes, the customization, and emphasis on PvP over lazy grinding is what these games lack.
PVP is so boring no matter what MMO you play. It's really a worthless game mode and should be taken out of all mmos. Runes of magic itself is a highly overrated game. Just like you said the classes are unbalanced and almost everyone is walking around with a mage and a priest. There was absolutely nothing about this game that i liked. Oh and also Allods online is a piece of crap too. Yet another over hyped game that i wasted my time on.
Have to say, Allods Online is alot funner to me, but that is my opinion, play what you want and stop hating others for not playing the same game as you, that's just silly.

all free mmorpgs have got lots of preferences for the guys who pays, in RoM you can be king in PvP, in maplestory you can level up more than 4X faster etc, pay for a good mmo like WoW or Aion, or otherwise find a good private server, i'm playing on a wow private server with 16'000 players and i think it's funnier than RoM

@dadikiuz if this private is as good as it has to be then its fine.but wow privates dont exsist compairing other mmo's.everything is bugged,you cant raid,farm achvs,tittles,put efford on proffesions,rated arenas not just skirmish,wintergrasp and lvling in wow privates is pathetic,x100+ more exp,items,gold is just stupid,you cant enjoy the game if you play on servers like that,at least not wow,i was playing on private but i got sick of it,played official and was totally differend.

@dadikiuz and even if you find a really good server,you dont know if it will exsist after a few months.the idea "i wont play official servers cuz i have to pay 12euros/15dollars per month" is rediculous.its not that big amount of money and you pay 20euros the expansion which comes every 2 whole years lol.ppl who say it r probably bellow 15y old cuz their mom dont give em a little bit more money as they used to & play at internet cafes,so playing p2p wow cost a lot for them.and aion=grid,no good

This video is old... and your a pathetic whiner... ive been in the game since beta and i have to tell you... for those of us with enouhg balls to stick around to now have seen HUGE changes... i love going up against a mage/priest as they shit themselves when i silence them and stun them then snipe them and repeatably shot them to death as a scout/warrior :D Quit whining and go try it out again. Things have changed... Hopefully your voice has gotten a little deeper since the vid....

Allods was fun until I realized passed lvl 20 if u die now ur best weapon's stats go negative and it turns red. Everytime you die it has a chance to get "cursed" which is really lame and why 50% of the Allods population went over to RoM.....

Most funny is that people greed money for good game, and for example they do not want to buy guild wars which is awesome almost free game (cuz u buy cd key once and play as long as gw exists). ANd they choose games such as room which in fact are nopt freee, cuz alot of important items can be purchased only for real money.
In my humble opinion Guild Wars is more free to play game rather than RoM!

Wow, with the lack of funds, in comparison to pay to play games, it's kind of messed up to complain about things like PvP balance in a Free to Play game. This game mainly only lacks the polish that games like WoW and FFXI have.

Its only smart designed, so it seems like you dont have to pay, but when you level up you must spend real money to catch up with others, otherwise you will be far in behind, as alot of most usefull items, even essential for game, can be purchased almost only by diamonds. Well they sometimes can be obtained for free tokens you get for doin daily quest, but you can get max 100 a day and u cant buy them. So it would take too long to get em all for item

@pbExluusiv u can with Allods. MOST EXPENSIVE MMORPG 2010. Way more than WoW. The Graphics are breath takingly realistic. The only problem is that the exp lvl is EXTREMELY LOW and gets boring real quick, but if u make alive for 3 years, u might reach lvl 30.

I just recently started playing Runes because I was looking for a change of pace from Warhammer online. Yet all these FREE MMO's really do is make me miss WAR. Not a bad game for those who aren't willing to pay the sub. fee, but if you like truly intense full scale PvP then playing a game like this, or WOW for that matter, is taking a huge step backwards. The gritty look and feel of WAR, unique classes, the customization, and emphasis on PvP over lazy grinding is what these games lack.

PVP is so boring no matter what MMO you play. It's really a worthless game mode and should be taken out of all mmos. Runes of magic itself is a highly overrated game. Just like you said the classes are unbalanced and almost everyone is walking around with a mage and a priest. There was absolutely nothing about this game that i liked. Oh and also Allods online is a piece of crap too. Yet another over hyped game that i wasted my time on.
