I think that we as a people need to go back and learn to differentiate between people who are racist or bigoted, and people who simply have an honest objection to a particular lifestyle . Objecting to the current perception of homosexuality does not mean that you "must be gay" or a "homophobe". In fact the word homophobia is grossly misused to attack people who have an honest moral objection. It has nothing to do with fear and to assume so is narrow minded and dismissive to a folly.
@Madams1977 and what, pray tell, is an "honest moral objection to homosexuality"?
if one thinks it's wrong to be homosexual, that person can not be a homosexual, which they're probably not. I mean, it's not a choice.
But it's utterly wrong to deny gay people the right to marry because you have a "moral objection" to it. Many religious denominations support gay marriage. They should be allowed to marry gay couples. Churches opposed to it should be allowed to NOT marry gay couples.
@MOKandRIFF It is exactly how it sounds. It is an honest moral objection to the homosexual lifestyle. It's not hateful, not bigoted, and not oppressive in any way. It's simply stating that you feel a particular way about the issue without being hateful and hurtful.
@Madams1977 and i still don't see how my being gay is a "particular lifestyle."
If my sixty-something parents can love me and my boyfriend and have no problem with other gay people or transgendered people, then i have to wonder why so many others seem to take such issue with it? you don't have to be gay. but any American that supports discrimination against LGBT people is nothing but a bigot. Bigotry should not be an "American Value"
@MOKandRIFF It's because we have free will as people and can choose to either accept something or not. The term "lifestyle" is what the gay/lesbian community uses to describe their sexual preference so I guess it's like black people and the "N" word. If you're not one, then you can't use the term. I have no civil issue with gays/lesbians and support their right to be treated equally. What I don't support is the labeling of people who oppose it as all being "afraid" or "bigoted".
@Madams1977 we don't use the word "lifestyle". i've never met ANY gay people who use the word "lifestyle", and i dare saw i know more gay people than you.
anti-gay bigots use it. we just have live. we pay taxes, we go to work, we see movies, we read books, we visit our families, we fall in love, we start families of our own.
what, specifically, are you "opposing"?
if you oppose a gay person's right to live a free, open, liberated life, you are indeed a bigot.
@MOKandRIFF Please go back and read before replying. I don't support the idea of homosexuality being natural. Whether you are a creationist or evolutionist the concept of opposite sexes is the normal process of things. I do not believe that homosexuals have a choice in the matter however. I believe that they are actually born that way. That is the idea that I don't agree with. However, I don't feel that any person should be discriminated against based on something that hey have no control over.
@MOKandRIFF And I am also opposed to people calling someone who exercises their right to free will and free speech to express a disagreement with any particular belief a bigot or homophobe. Many of these people have no malice, hostility, or belief in their own superiority over those who hold opposing beliefs. Honest intellectual disagreement is too often shunned and belittled when it does not go along with what is believed by the masses.
@MOKandRIFF Wrong. Bigotry involves hostility, intolerance, and hate. Saying that you have a moral objection to homosexuality is not the same thing. However if you try to limit a gay or lesbian's basic human rights allotted by our Constitution then you cross the line. Simply disagreeing is not intolerance. Just as you feel your way, someone can feel the opposite without being a bigot. Perhaps it is a lack of critical thinking skill and intellect that prevents people from realizing this.
@Madams1977 How. What are the "intellectual moral" objections? Bigotry need not involve hostility, although it often manifests as such,
Do you believe LGBT couples should be allowed to marry? Adopt? Serve openly in the military? hold teaching jobs? have the right to live in a country that is NOT predisposed to prejudiced feelings toward them?
What are the "moral and intellectual" objections to homosexuality? How is my life any different from a straight man's life?
Plus, the term homophobic is a fallacy. Nowhere else in the English language is the term phobia used to describe anything other than an irrational fear. Phobias do no apply to simple opposition of a particular belief or opinion. The term homophobic is a weapon invented to belittle those who hold an opposing viewpoint. If anything, since people who use the term feel superior to those whom they are labeling as a homophobe, ironically they are the bigot.
@Madams1977 it is an irrational fear. You may not know what it's like to be a gay person in America, but I do. We can't open a newspaper or turn on a television without hearing some bigot talk about our "agenda" and how we will run the country, ruin "the family" and are worse than "islamic terrorists"
What is this "opposing viewpoint"? What intellectual moral objections do you have to people who are gay?
How do you defend them? What will you do when one of your children Comes Out to you?
@MOKandRIFF Again, that's all people know how to call it. It's not a fear. It's a choice to disagree. My opposing viewpoint is that I don't believe that homosexuality is "natural" and "normal". I do agree with you that it's silly for someone to compare gay marriage to Islamic terrorism. From the evolutionist standpoint, homosexuality isn't conducive to the propagation of a species. From a creationist standpoint, it is a violation of God's law since he made us male and female.
@Madams1977 How? I'm gay. I've always been gay. My family knows this and loves me for it. You don't need to be heterosexual to procreate. Many infertile heterosexual couples exist, and many homosexual couples not only adopt, but have their own biological children via surrogates. By your "logic" infertile heterosexuals are a violation of God's law. Homosexuality is natural and normal for homosexuals.
I thought you were going to give logical intelligent arguments, not Creationist rhetoric.
perhaps you can answer this question for me: How is it in God's plan for YOU to give your husband oral sex? Where does oral sex for heterosexuals become part of God's plan, yet only becomes a sin when two women or two men do it?
What about infertile heterosexuals? Should they be allowed to have sex? Get married, even though they can't procreate? What about condoms? dont' they make sex about pleasure, not procreation?
@MOKandRIFF I disagree that homosexuality is normal. On a note, I will say that I'm enjoying this discussion and that neither of us has stooped to any childish name calling. It's quite refreshing. You are correct on the matter of oral sex. Technically speaking, sodomy is any sexual act that can't result in procreation under any circumstance. As far as infertile heterosexuals go, it is still possible though highly unlikely for them to reproduce (even if it's a .0001 percent chance).
@Madams1977 it's normal for homosexuals, as heterosexuality is normal for you. it comes naturally to me. i've ALWAYS been gay. we've all always been gay.
No, it's not likely for them to reproduce. men who've lost testicles to cancer. women who've had their uteruses removed. post-menopausal women. truly infertile couples. couples who use condoms or The Pill - that's making sex about pleasure, not procreation. How are gay couples any different?
@Madams1977 "Sodomy" is weird, in that the story of Sodom makes not even ONE mention of same-sex activity, and Ezekiel 16 makes it expressly clear that the "sin of Sodom" was not homosexuality, but greed and selfishness: the people of Sodom had money, supplies, food and did not give to those who had little or nothing.
so, really, a Sodomite is one who is wealthy and does not give to the poor. Basically, a Sodomite is a wealthy person who opposes Universal Healthcare...
@Madams1977 your little daughter Charlotte...what if she Comes Out as a lesbian? LGBT people are not "turned"...we don't "become" gay. we're gay from birth. Do you realize that a household that "opposes homosexuality" will not make her straight, but will only make her life harder if she is in fact a lesbian?
kids that grow up in homes where homosexuality is looked down on are the ones that end up trying to kill themselves, you know...
@Madams1977 if one has the "freedom of speech" to promote and condone the bigotry that continues to harm the LGBT community, then compassionate and intelligent people have the right to freedom of speech to call out that bigotry for what it is.
i have never, in my life, heard an intelligent, logcal or rational "opposition" to LGBT Equality. Only bigoted ramblings and excuses.
If you oppose Equality for LGBT people, then you are an anti-gay bigot. No way around that.
@Madams1977 like when "the masses" opposed racial integration. there are no logical, intelligent or remotely honest reasons for LGBT people in America, and around the world, to be denied the same rights, freedoms, privileges and liberties are heterosexual Americans.
That two women in America cannot marry and yet any straight man or woman can marry, cheat, divorce, remarry, as many times as they like, is just w r o n g.
@MOKandRIFF I also am opposed to people thinking that what gays and lesbians are going through is anything at all like the civil rights movement. There is no such correlation and if I were an African American I would be deeply offended by such a statement. The only so called "freedom" that gays are denied is the right to same sex marriage.
@Madams1977 Wrong. there are many rights denied, and freedoms. None of my black friends find it offensive, but then again none of my black friends are anti-gay bigots either.
We cannot Marry. in many states we cannot adopt. in most states we can be fired from our jobs and denied housing, simply for being gay. not to mention this anti-gay cultural climate means higher risks of violent attacks, a 1 in 3 youth suicide attempt rate, and "The Closet" - people scared to admit they're gay.
@Madams1977 Amazing how you can imagine how "insulted" you'd feel by pretending to be African American, yet you cannot "imagine how insulted you'd feel" if you were an LGBT person living in a country that discriminates against who you are....
We have a culture predisposed to discrimination toward us. We are denied Equality in America. In 2011! Its sick.
Do you support LGBT Equality? The freedom to marry? The freedom to live in a country untainted by senseles bigotry against us?
@MOKandRIFF I support the rights of homosexuals to marry. There is no constitutional reason to deny it. I view the nature of homosexuality differently though. Homosexuals should be protected under the basic human rights provided by our constitution. However, those who choose to disagree with the current social view of homosexuality should be protected from discrimination as well for holding such a viewpoint.
@Madams1977 what's the "current social view of homosexuality"? are you aware of the 1 in 3 youth suicide rate? the "current social view of homosexuality" is one steeped in bigotry that is harming and killing far too many.
You have the freedom to state that you disagree with homosexuality. A statement which will greatly hurt any young gay people that hear it. And we in turn have the right to point out your ignorant and bigotry.
What about when little Charlotte comes out to you as a lesbian?
@MOKandRIFF The current social view of homosexuality is that it is normal and accepted as such. As far as my statement "hurting" a gay person, well, sticks and stones, get a thicker skin. There is no excuse however for a homosexual to be made fun of, bullied, or beaten just because they are gay. Now, you are approaching a line I will ask you to back away from. Please refrain from bringing my child into this. I removed your comment. If she does so, I will still love and accept her.
@Madams1977 wrong. if that was true we wouldn't have the 1 in 3 youth suicide rate. I do LGBT Youth outreach, you could not be more wrong. I know more kids in America whose families have disowned them than supported them.
It's not about gay kids getting a thicker skin, it's about adults like you taking responsibility for the HARM you inflict by promoting an uneducated "idea" about Homosexuality.
You don't want me to bring "your child" into this, but your anti-gay stance, and your "opinions" affect every young gay child in America - it's contributing to a culture of anti-gay bias. Do you not care about OTHER children, and only your own?
You have no idea how hard things are for gay youth in America. If you dont' want your daughter brought into this, understand that your beliefs put young gay people in a state of self-loathing. you need to be an adult and be aware of that.
@Madams1977 straight up, if the current social view on homosexuality was that it's "good and accepted" then there still wouldn't be expressly anti-gay laws in effect in america, a culture of violence and bigotry against gay people, and a youth suicide rate of 1 in 3.
i don't think you realize just how hard life is for gay children. they know they're gay, and they see how the adults in their lives don't "approve" of gay people, and it's damaging to their sense of self.
@MOKandRIFF I can imagine how hard it would be. I grew up with a disorder that I was made fun of for having. I won't say what it was, but it made life hard. I still have it. Again, I'll tell you that I don't agree with any violence against gays or any other group.
@Madams1977 Great. Just understand that "opposing homosexuality" leads to violence against gays, and to the LGBT Youth Suicide rate. If your household is not one that lets little Charlotte know that she can be who she is, and you will still love her, even if who she is is a Lesbian, then you will run into trouble. Because the problem is not just the violence, it's the "gay is wrong' mentality that leads people to commit violence & hate themselves.
but thank you for supporting the right of LGBT people to marry. that's a good thing. It makes no sense to deny lGBT people the freedom to marry.
i'm not sure how you can have a "disagreement' about the nature of homosexuality, though. I mean, any homosexual person's statement would prove you wrong. we know who we are. we know we've always been this way.
I respected your approach until the name calling binge against homosexual republicans. That kind of generalization and bashing hurts all sides when done by either side. People are very different with what they think and feel whether they are republican or not. (No, I'm not). Your poll statistics show mostly that 20 to 30% of people are just politically stupid. Poll democrats and you'll get stupid answers too. And no, I'm not anti-gay either! I am for freedom of debate with respect!
@freedomnotbigotry Doesn't change the fact that a gay man voting for McCain was voting for someone who would not only not advance LGBT Equality, but set the community back.
I'm open to facts, absolutely. So show me a gay republican who is an active champion for LGBT Equality within the GOP....
@unelmitchell The KKK was essentially founded by Democrats, who's original targets were Republicans in general, although they did prefer Black Republicans. The record filibuster, until this year, was set by 18 Southern Democrats and 1 Republican..in an attempt to stop the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. It's a similar story with the Voting Rights Act of 1965 as well. The history of Democrats as racists and bigots is horrendous if you'd actually look at it.
@Cosmo1093 Sort of. it was the Southern "Dixie-crats", as they were known. And what happened? They all became Republicans when the tide turned. That's the intellectually honest truth. Yes, the KKK was essentially founded by Southern Dems who then BECAME REPUBLICANS when social change took place. Those southern dems became GOP, and were welcomed by the GOP. An intellectually honest person would see that the GOP barely helped with the Civil Rights Act, AT ALL. They were mostly against it.
@MOKandRIFF Actually, for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (original House version), the votes of House Republicans was 148-4, so 95% in support. For Senate Republicans, it was 27-6, so 82% in support. For the Senate version, the Senate Republican vote remained the same, while the House vote went down to 136-35, 80%. That is VAST support by the Republicans, granted they were the minority in both the House and Senate.
I don't agree with either party's stance on race/sexual orientation anymore.
@MOKandRIFF As Republicans were the minority, it did require SOME Dem support, but even the original House version only received support by 39% of House Dems, and 66% of Senate Dems, as opposed to 95% of House and 82% of Senate Republicans who supported it.
What about how the Dems filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 83 days? Two notable Dems who took part were Al Gore's father (Al Gore Sr.) and Robert Byrd who was in office until June 28, 2010. Byrd filibustered for 14 straight hours.
And did you know that the GOP of 2010 bases almost all of their campaigns on anti-gay bigotry and playing up xenophobic racism?
the "dems used to be the racists" argument is intellectually dishonest: with the Civil Rights Act's passage, those racist dems changed parties to Republican! And what we've seen ever since is the GOP catering only to white heterosexual Christians, and the few minorities they can trick into gullibly following them.
@MOKandRIFF You should see Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez's (D-CA) remark about Vietnamese people around Sept 2010. But overwhelmingly, I'd say that its more of the usual: politicians bashing each other. I think I've only seen one anti-gay ad, and a bunch of stuff against illegal immigration.
Ever since, its been more class warfare than anything, the rich vs. the poor, with the middle class split. Down in hickville, yes idiots vote Republican because of idiotic morality issues.
@Cosmo1093 exactly. GOP votes benefit only the top percentage of white people. Everyone else that votes GOP is shooting themselves in the foot, and they do so with anti-immigrant and anti-gay rhetoric.
@MOKandRIFF I honestly prefer allowing the wealthy to keep their money over taking their money to create a nanny-state or taking their money to pay for unnecessary government jobs.. How are they shooting themselves in the foot?
I don't think anyone is opposed to legal immigration, but illegal immigration honestly has to be stopped(simple solution: punish employers who hire illegals). I don't agree with the anti-gay rhetoric but the issues of DADT and gay marriage aren't deciding factors to me.
@MOKandRIFF Let me clarify my last statement.. I do not agree with Southern Republican bigots who believe in white superiority and all that crap, but I do think that Democrats are pushing race too far. I mean, with affirmative action and meeting a race quota, it puts race over things like qualifications or experience, which are way more important. Also, I think that the minorities who support the Democrat's play the "race card" way too often (I am a minority).
@Cosmo1093 Wrong. Affirmitive Action is not putting race over qualifications; that's just something that racist white people say and other ignorant white people repeat.
Great. You're a minority. Congrats. Don't forget which party will use you and your anti-gay stances for their own personal whims.
@MOKandRIFF How is AA not putting race over qualifications? The best example would probably be at universities. Why not simply ignore race altogether and only consider qualifications rather than seek to meet race quotas, even if it meant lowering standards? For example, Asians, obviously being a minority, seem to hit the "quota limit" of top schools. They generally have to get higher scores than other races, including Whites, to get into top schools due to this competition within the one race.
@Cosmo1093 If you have to ask "WHY" steps need to be taken to equalize the ongoing racial injustice and discrimination that is still very much alive in America, I don't know what else to say to you......
look up "White Privilege" and get a clue. sorry to be blunt, but clearly nuance is lost on you.
@MOKandRIFF What form of racial injustice are you talking about? Do you mean job discrimination? Or what?
Undoubtedly they were necessary at one point, and clearly affirmative action programs have worked, but aside from in some parts of the South, I don't think they're necessary anymore, and in face, do more harm than good.
@MOKandRIFF As for homosexuality and gay marriage, I don't approve of either, but I don't plan on being an opponent to it either, as I don't think it is my place to dictate how someone else lives or what they can or can't do, within reason of course. Personally, I think that is something government should just stay out of. As for "don't ask, don't tell", I'll side with whatever the majority of servicemen and servicewomen believe, which would actually be very interesting to see..
@Cosmo1093 Great. Nobody cares what you approve of. Gay people exist, gay people should be allowed the same rights as straight people, and the fact that you "don't approve", for no intelligent reason, doesn't mean that we should have our lives negatively affected by your illogical disapproval
LGBT citizens have served openly in Canada's militaries for nearly 20 years. I wonder why? Perhaps Canadians are biologically superior and less prone to illogical prejudice?
@MOKandRIFF The fact that I do not approve of their sexual preference doesn't mean that I am opposed to gays having the same rights as heterosexuals. I think its idiotic that people try to stop the gays from having equal rights.
When the shit hits the fan, I highly doubt sexual orientation matters. Other times, when the soldiers aren't fighting, say, in their down time, there will definitely be some conflict. It should be only the soldiers' opinions that matter, as it really only affects them.
@Cosmo1093 Why will there "definitely be some conflict"? There are already GBT people serving in the military. They're not asking for "license to harass", they're asking to be allowed to serve their country while not pretending to be straight.
For nearly 20 years Canada has allowed LGBT soldiers to serve openly. So far, so good. Why do you think it would be different for America? Do you think Americans are mentally inferior?
Are you aware of all the other countries that allow gays to serve?
@MOKandRIFF Because undoubtedly, there will be incidents of homophobes and other idiots harassing the gays. I think that gays should be allowed to openly serve, but again, I'd like to see the servicemen and servicewomen's opinions first, at least about their comfort with working with gays and lesbians.
To be honest, yes, I think that as a whole, Americans are more stupid than just about any other first world country. People are simply making it more of a moral issue than it really should be.
@Cosmo1093 Ahh, and those people who are harassing them should be discharged. rather than forcing LGBT people to be discharged simply for being gay.
If one cares more about disliking gay people than serving alongside gay people for the good of their country, and the world, they should be discharged. We don't need bigots in the military.
There was anger about a racially-integrated military for years, too. White's didn't want to serve with blacks. Gross, eh? But true.
@MOKandRIFF And what about those who are simply not comfortable with showering and sleeping next to gay people? As long as the (vast?) majority of soldiers are comfortable working or being around gays and lesbians, then I think gays should be allowed to openly serve. Whether or not DADT is repealed really doesn't affect the vast majority of Americans, so I honestly don't understand what the big deal about it is..
Recent reports out of Michigan are linking prevalence of tattoos and a predisposition to antisocial personality disorder. The research was conducted by Dr. William Cardasis. His studies at the Michigan Centre For Forensic Psychiatry reviewed the cases of patients who were considered unfit to stand trial or who were judged to be insane and found that a majority had both signs of ASPD and a strong tendency to be tattooed.
MOK - *ahem* yourself. I answered your question now answer mine. Do you need me to repeat it for you? Now your asking me 4 more additional questions? WTF?
Quid Pro Quo. I answered yours, now you answer mine or this dialog this over.
your question? Do i think a Christian is automatically a bigot? No. I'M a Christian. My church fully supports LGBT Equality, gay marriage, etc. We're not a bigoted institution.
Now, my question: Do you support, and indeed champion, LGBT Equality? The right to marry? Adopt? Serve openly in the military? Be free from employment and housing discrimination? Because those are rights we're being denied.
So, *are* you a supporter of true Equality for LGBT people?
You have an interesting church. Under what doctrine do you study?
I support some of the point, but not all. Employ and house, yes. The military provides a function that's much more important that your cause. The right to marry. Legally, perhaps yes, religiously, no. Some things are, and should remain sacred. What next then? Sons marrying their mothers, or sons marrying their fathers? There has to be some guidelines of right and wrong, good and bad. Don't tell me that you can't agree with that?
See? You just proved me right! I'm with the United Church. We support and celebrate Love and Diversity. WE should be allowed to marry gay couples within our church. We're not asking to get married in YOUR church, but in our own. Incest is not an orientation. Homosexuality is. Incest is illegal. Homosexuality is not.
You have just proved your anti-gay bigotry with your answer, thus proving that YOU are exactly like the people I talked about in this video.
@MOK - Afraid not. This is why sane people consider liberalism a mental disorder. Just because I don't agree with you doesn't make me a bigot. You have the same rights as I do. I don't think that man should marry canines, but this doesn't mean I'm bigoted against dogs.
I thought that you libs were supposed to be understanding and tolerant of others. I guess not. As soon as somebody doesn't agree with a liberal, the liberals start with the name calling. How childish.
Dogs cannot sign marriage licenses. Two adult females who are in love can.
You can't see the difference? Then prove my other point: social conservatives are crushingly unintelligent! :-)
These posts of yours are hilarious, thanks so much!
You don't have to agree with gay marriage, you're free to disagree. You're just not free to stop me from marrying my boyfriend in our church. You can simply choose to not attend the ceremony. Problem solved!
There are so many churches and religions that support LGBT people and couples, that we don't NEED to go to a bigoted church like yours for our weddings. After all, if the Jewish community cannot force you to be kosher, then YOU can't force MY church to live by YOUR approach to scripture, right? Freedom of religion, and freedom from religion. Im not making your church marry gay couples, your church has no business stopping mine from marrying ours. "sacred" ? Do you believe in outlawing divorce?
1.marriage is as much secular today as it is religious.....ever hear of CIVIL CEREMONIES. 2. the military in israel is overwhelmingly macho.and yet it still accepts gays and lesbians into it.
The Republican party are like the Robin Hood's of the filthy rich. They steal from the middle class. They set up and lock up the poor. While they give and give and give to the rich. All while invoking Jesus and our fore fathers Like all these right wingers up in arms over defending insurance companies right to screw us. Hey, Private insurance companies have the death panels already that turn Grandma's life into a business decision

Nickthepunk22 (super cute name BTW) NO president has ever been taken out of office in the middle of a war! It makes the country look weak. Look how low Bush's (hehe Bush) approval ratings were when he was re-elected, he practically was negative...Please tell me you wont be reproducing anytime soon!
And BTW honey...sweetie...snooky...baby, the facts were right there. LUVS D
You're probably a flaming fucking homo, have fun SUCKING DICK MOFO..OBAMA IS GETTING VOTED OUT IN 2012, HIS APPROVAL RATE HAS DROPPED A SHIT LOAD SO FAR. JUST WAIT!!
You aren't even a person...just go die...you don't belong on earth...there is a reason why Men+Women reproduce and Women+Women and Men+Men don't. How stupid do you have to be to understand something is not fucking right with you faggots?? Total fucking freak!
Dude you make no sense..I didn't prove you right and you have no facts to back up ANYTHING you say. You must have too much cum inside of you to think straight. You know I'm right about what I just said and thats why you replied with that lame ass comment that made no sense. And I correct you I will be on the winning side..THE STRAIGHT SIDE. THE RIGHT SIDE. Fuckin loser you're pathetic..
Nick: Yea, can you believe this guy MOKandRIFF? Everybody who expresses an opinion that doesn't agree with his proves him right. What an idiot. But it's not his fault. He's a liberal and this is a type of mental disorder. I hear that their working on a cure for liberalism in pill form. It's call cyanide.
You just proved me right, again. I talked about bigotry and prejudice. You're allowed to have your opinions, just understand that they're bigoted ones. Then you suggest death to liberals.
Like I said, you do all my work for me when you log on and prove me right :-)
you're exactly the type of person this video talks about. Thanks for making my job easier!
actually conservatism is more of a mental illness. it feeds on selfishness, bigotry, ignorance, conformity. and your desire to see another human being die, simply proves my point
@MrEmesis ,1.abortion is still legal.2 the ultimate decision to terminate a pregnancy must be decided upon by THE WOMAN, not a church, court, government,or self-appointed,self-righteous men like you or Mid West Randy, who think they are doing god a favor
if you have so much fun sucking a dick that's fine. just keep it in the bed room where it belongs. or in your case, the psychiatric couch. please tell me though that your not so sick to suck the cock as soon as the guy, child or dog removes it from your ass. I would hope you would wash it first, or do you enjoy the taste of shit and just suck, lick and slurp it off?
@hshea11 i am from Arkansas, Black and straight and i also deal with this KKKonservative republican bullshit daily. even from the white gays. they are evil , They are not christians.
fuck the republican conservatives. Most of the anti-gay people are gay themselves. Ted haggard bitches? dont forget him and the conservative politicians outed as gay men. Hypocrits
good luck in exposing the ignorance, prejudice, and the intolerance that is now todays g.o.p. they are now being controlled by birchers, religious fanatics or whatever assorted crazies exist from the right
I think that we as a people need to go back and learn to differentiate between people who are racist or bigoted, and people who simply have an honest objection to a particular lifestyle . Objecting to the current perception of homosexuality does not mean that you "must be gay" or a "homophobe".
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF It is exactly how it sounds. It is an honest moral objection to the homosexual lifestyle. It's not hateful, not bigoted, and not oppressive in any way. It's simply stating that you feel a particular way about the issue without being hateful and hurtful.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 and i still don't see how my being gay is a "particular lifestyle."
If my sixty-something parents can love me and my boyfriend and have no problem with other gay people or transgendered people, then i have to wonder why so many others seem to take such issue with it? you don't have to be gay. but any American that supports discrimination against LGBT people is nothing but a bigot. Bigotry should not be an "American Value"
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF It's because we have free will as people and can choose to either accept something or not. The term "lifestyle" is what the gay/lesbian community uses to describe their sexual preference so I guess it's like black people and the "N" word. If you're not one, then you can't use the term. I have no civil issue with gays/lesbians and support their right to be treated equally. What I don't support is the labeling of people who oppose it as all being "afraid" or "bigoted".
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 we don't use the word "lifestyle". i've never met ANY gay people who use the word "lifestyle", and i dare saw i know more gay people than you.
anti-gay bigots use it. we just have live. we pay taxes, we go to work, we see movies, we read books, we visit our families, we fall in love, we start families of our own.
what, specifically, are you "opposing"?
if you oppose a gay person's right to live a free, open, liberated life, you are indeed a bigot.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF Please go back and read before replying. I don't support the idea of homosexuality being natural. Whether you are a creationist or evolutionist the concept of opposite sexes is the normal process of things. I do not believe that homosexuals have a choice in the matter however. I believe that they are actually born that way. That is the idea that I don't agree with. However, I don't feel that any person should be discriminated against based on something that hey have no control over.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF And I am also opposed to people calling someone who exercises their right to free will and free speech to express a disagreement with any particular belief a bigot or homophobe. Many of these people have no malice, hostility, or belief in their own superiority over those who hold opposing beliefs. Honest intellectual disagreement is too often shunned and belittled when it does not go along with what is believed by the masses.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 Wrong. They have the freedom to speak, but that doens't mean that what they're saying is not bigoted, nor homophobic, nor hateful.
Honest Intellectual Disagreement? Can you share how there is anything honest or intellectual about beign anti-gay?
Curious: do you even care that the LGBT Community has a 1 in 3 youth suicide-attempt rate?
When your own children Come Out to you...what are you going to say to them?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF Wrong. Bigotry involves hostility, intolerance, and hate. Saying that you have a moral objection to homosexuality is not the same thing. However if you try to limit a gay or lesbian's basic human rights allotted by our Constitution then you cross the line. Simply disagreeing is not intolerance. Just as you feel your way, someone can feel the opposite without being a bigot. Perhaps it is a lack of critical thinking skill and intellect that prevents people from realizing this.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 How. What are the "intellectual moral" objections? Bigotry need not involve hostility, although it often manifests as such,
Do you believe LGBT couples should be allowed to marry? Adopt? Serve openly in the military? hold teaching jobs? have the right to live in a country that is NOT predisposed to prejudiced feelings toward them?
What are the "moral and intellectual" objections to homosexuality? How is my life any different from a straight man's life?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
Plus, the term homophobic is a fallacy. Nowhere else in the English language is the term phobia used to describe anything other than an irrational fear. Phobias do no apply to simple opposition of a particular belief or opinion. The term homophobic is a weapon invented to belittle those who hold an opposing viewpoint. If anything, since people who use the term feel superior to those whom they are labeling as a homophobe, ironically they are the bigot.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 it is an irrational fear. You may not know what it's like to be a gay person in America, but I do. We can't open a newspaper or turn on a television without hearing some bigot talk about our "agenda" and how we will run the country, ruin "the family" and are worse than "islamic terrorists"
What is this "opposing viewpoint"? What intellectual moral objections do you have to people who are gay?
How do you defend them? What will you do when one of your children Comes Out to you?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF Again, that's all people know how to call it. It's not a fear. It's a choice to disagree. My opposing viewpoint is that I don't believe that homosexuality is "natural" and "normal". I do agree with you that it's silly for someone to compare gay marriage to Islamic terrorism. From the evolutionist standpoint, homosexuality isn't conducive to the propagation of a species. From a creationist standpoint, it is a violation of God's law since he made us male and female.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 How? I'm gay. I've always been gay. My family knows this and loves me for it. You don't need to be heterosexual to procreate. Many infertile heterosexual couples exist, and many homosexual couples not only adopt, but have their own biological children via surrogates. By your "logic" infertile heterosexuals are a violation of God's law. Homosexuality is natural and normal for homosexuals.
I thought you were going to give logical intelligent arguments, not Creationist rhetoric.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
what, SPECIFICALLY, do you "disagree" with?
perhaps you can answer this question for me: How is it in God's plan for YOU to give your husband oral sex? Where does oral sex for heterosexuals become part of God's plan, yet only becomes a sin when two women or two men do it?
What about infertile heterosexuals? Should they be allowed to have sex? Get married, even though they can't procreate? What about condoms? dont' they make sex about pleasure, not procreation?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF I disagree that homosexuality is normal. On a note, I will say that I'm enjoying this discussion and that neither of us has stooped to any childish name calling. It's quite refreshing. You are correct on the matter of oral sex. Technically speaking, sodomy is any sexual act that can't result in procreation under any circumstance. As far as infertile heterosexuals go, it is still possible though highly unlikely for them to reproduce (even if it's a .0001 percent chance).
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 it's normal for homosexuals, as heterosexuality is normal for you. it comes naturally to me. i've ALWAYS been gay. we've all always been gay.
No, it's not likely for them to reproduce. men who've lost testicles to cancer. women who've had their uteruses removed. post-menopausal women. truly infertile couples. couples who use condoms or The Pill - that's making sex about pleasure, not procreation. How are gay couples any different?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@Madams1977 "Sodomy" is weird, in that the story of Sodom makes not even ONE mention of same-sex activity, and Ezekiel 16 makes it expressly clear that the "sin of Sodom" was not homosexuality, but greed and selfishness: the people of Sodom had money, supplies, food and did not give to those who had little or nothing.
so, really, a Sodomite is one who is wealthy and does not give to the poor. Basically, a Sodomite is a wealthy person who opposes Universal Healthcare...
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@Madams1977 your little daughter Charlotte...what if she Comes Out as a lesbian? LGBT people are not "turned"...we don't "become" gay. we're gay from birth. Do you realize that a household that "opposes homosexuality" will not make her straight, but will only make her life harder if she is in fact a lesbian?
kids that grow up in homes where homosexuality is looked down on are the ones that end up trying to kill themselves, you know...
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@Madams1977 if one has the "freedom of speech" to promote and condone the bigotry that continues to harm the LGBT community, then compassionate and intelligent people have the right to freedom of speech to call out that bigotry for what it is.
i have never, in my life, heard an intelligent, logcal or rational "opposition" to LGBT Equality. Only bigoted ramblings and excuses.
If you oppose Equality for LGBT people, then you are an anti-gay bigot. No way around that.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@Madams1977 like when "the masses" opposed racial integration. there are no logical, intelligent or remotely honest reasons for LGBT people in America, and around the world, to be denied the same rights, freedoms, privileges and liberties are heterosexual Americans.
That two women in America cannot marry and yet any straight man or woman can marry, cheat, divorce, remarry, as many times as they like, is just w r o n g.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF I also am opposed to people thinking that what gays and lesbians are going through is anything at all like the civil rights movement. There is no such correlation and if I were an African American I would be deeply offended by such a statement. The only so called "freedom" that gays are denied is the right to same sex marriage.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 Wrong. there are many rights denied, and freedoms.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@Madams1977 Amazing how you can imagine how "insulted" you'd feel by pretending to be African American, yet you cannot "imagine how insulted you'd feel" if you were an LGBT person living in a country that discriminates against who you are....
We have a culture predisposed to discrimination toward us. We are denied Equality in America. In 2011! Its sick.
Do you support LGBT Equality? The freedom to marry? The freedom to live in a country untainted by senseles bigotry against us?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF I support the rights of homosexuals to marry. There is no constitutional reason to deny it. I view the nature of homosexuality differently though. Homosexuals should be protected under the basic human rights provided by our constitution. However, those who choose to disagree with the current social view of homosexuality should be protected from discrimination as well for holding such a viewpoint.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 what's the "current social view of homosexuality"? are you aware of the 1 in 3 youth suicide rate? the "current social view of homosexuality" is one steeped in bigotry that is harming and killing far too many.
You have the freedom to state that you disagree with homosexuality. A statement which will greatly hurt any young gay people that hear it. And we in turn have the right to point out your ignorant and bigotry.
What about when little Charlotte comes out to you as a lesbian?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF The current social view of homosexuality is that it is normal and accepted as such. As far as my statement "hurting" a gay person, well, sticks and stones, get a thicker skin. There is no excuse however for a homosexual to be made fun of, bullied, or beaten just because they are gay. Now, you are approaching a line I will ask you to back away from. Please refrain from bringing my child into this. I removed your comment. If she does so, I will still love and accept her.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 wrong. if that was true we wouldn't have the 1 in 3 youth suicide rate.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
You don't want me to bring "your child" into this, but your anti-gay stance, and your "opinions" affect every young gay child in America - it's contributing to a culture of anti-gay bias. Do you not care about OTHER children, and only your own?
You have no idea how hard things are for gay youth in America. If you dont' want your daughter brought into this, understand that your beliefs put young gay people in a state of self-loathing. you need to be an adult and be aware of that.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@Madams1977 straight up, if the current social view on homosexuality was that it's "good and accepted" then there still wouldn't be expressly anti-gay laws in effect in america, a culture of violence and bigotry against gay people, and a youth suicide rate of 1 in 3.
i don't think you realize just how hard life is for gay children. they know they're gay, and they see how the adults in their lives don't "approve" of gay people, and it's damaging to their sense of self.
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
@MOKandRIFF I can imagine how hard it would be. I grew up with a disorder that I was made fun of for having. I won't say what it was, but it made life hard. I still have it. Again, I'll tell you that I don't agree with any violence against gays or any other group.
Madams1977 11 months ago
@Madams1977 Great. Just understand that "opposing homosexuality" leads to violence against gays, and to the LGBT Youth Suicide rate. If your household is not one that lets little Charlotte know that she can be who she is, and you will still love her, even if who she is is a Lesbian, then you will run into trouble. Because the problem is not just the violence, it's the "gay is wrong' mentality that leads people to commit violence & hate themselves.
I'd hate for Charlotte to take her own life

but thank you for supporting the right of LGBT people to marry. that's a good thing. It makes no sense to deny lGBT people the freedom to marry.
i'm not sure how you can have a "disagreement' about the nature of homosexuality, though. I mean, any homosexual person's statement would prove you wrong. we know who we are. we know we've always been this way.
who are YOU to not listen to us about who we are?
MOKandRIFF 11 months ago
I respected your approach until the name calling binge against homosexual republicans. That kind of generalization and bashing hurts all sides when done by either side. People are very different with what they think and feel whether they are republican or not. (No, I'm not). Your poll statistics show mostly that 20 to 30% of people are just politically stupid. Poll democrats and you'll get stupid answers too. And no, I'm not anti-gay either! I am for freedom of debate with respect!

Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 Sort of. it was the Southern "Dixie-crats", as they were known. And what happened? They all became Republicans when the tide turned. That's the intellectually honest truth. Yes, the KKK was essentially founded by Southern Dems who then BECAME REPUBLICANS when social change took place. Those southern dems became GOP, and were welcomed by the GOP. An intellectually honest person would see that the GOP barely helped with the Civil Rights Act, AT ALL. They were mostly against it.
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF Actually, for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (original House version), the votes of House Republicans was 148-4, so 95% in support. For Senate Republicans, it was 27-6, so 82% in support. For the Senate version, the Senate Republican vote remained the same, while the House vote went down to 136-35, 80%. That is VAST support by the Republicans, granted they were the minority in both the House and Senate.
I don't agree with either party's stance on race/sexual orientation anymore.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 The Civil Rights Act was passed by the Dems. Fact.
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF As Republicans were the minority, it did require SOME Dem support, but even the original House version only received support by 39% of House Dems, and 66% of Senate Dems, as opposed to 95% of House and 82% of Senate Republicans who supported it.
What about how the Dems filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for 83 days? Two notable Dems who took part were Al Gore's father (Al Gore Sr.) and Robert Byrd who was in office until June 28, 2010. Byrd filibustered for 14 straight hours.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF You should see Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez's (D-CA) remark about Vietnamese people around Sept 2010. But overwhelmingly, I'd say that its more of the usual: politicians bashing each other. I think I've only seen one anti-gay ad, and a bunch of stuff against illegal immigration.
Ever since, its been more class warfare than anything, the rich vs. the poor, with the middle class split. Down in hickville, yes idiots vote Republican because of idiotic morality issues.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 exactly. GOP votes benefit only the top percentage of white people. Everyone else that votes GOP is shooting themselves in the foot, and they do so with anti-immigrant and anti-gay rhetoric.
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF I honestly prefer allowing the wealthy to keep their money over taking their money to create a nanny-state or taking their money to pay for unnecessary government jobs.. How are they shooting themselves in the foot?
I don't think anyone is opposed to legal immigration, but illegal immigration honestly has to be stopped(simple solution: punish employers who hire illegals). I don't agree with the anti-gay rhetoric but the issues of DADT and gay marriage aren't deciding factors to me.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF Let me clarify my last statement.. I do not agree with Southern Republican bigots who believe in white superiority and all that crap, but I do think that Democrats are pushing race too far. I mean, with affirmative action and meeting a race quota, it puts race over things like qualifications or experience, which are way more important. Also, I think that the minorities who support the Democrat's play the "race card" way too often (I am a minority).
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 Wrong. Affirmitive Action is not putting race over qualifications; that's just something that racist white people say and other ignorant white people repeat.
Great. You're a minority. Congrats. Don't forget which party will use you and your anti-gay stances for their own personal whims.
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF How is AA not putting race over qualifications? The best example would probably be at universities. Why not simply ignore race altogether and only consider qualifications rather than seek to meet race quotas, even if it meant lowering standards? For example, Asians, obviously being a minority, seem to hit the "quota limit" of top schools. They generally have to get higher scores than other races, including Whites, to get into top schools due to this competition within the one race.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 If you have to ask "WHY" steps need to be taken to equalize the ongoing racial injustice and discrimination that is still very much alive in America, I don't know what else to say to you......
look up "White Privilege" and get a clue. sorry to be blunt, but clearly nuance is lost on you.
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF What form of racial injustice are you talking about? Do you mean job discrimination? Or what?
Undoubtedly they were necessary at one point, and clearly affirmative action programs have worked, but aside from in some parts of the South, I don't think they're necessary anymore, and in face, do more harm than good.

@MOKandRIFF fact*
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF As for homosexuality and gay marriage, I don't approve of either, but I don't plan on being an opponent to it either, as I don't think it is my place to dictate how someone else lives or what they can or can't do, within reason of course. Personally, I think that is something government should just stay out of. As for "don't ask, don't tell", I'll side with whatever the majority of servicemen and servicewomen believe, which would actually be very interesting to see..
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 Great. Nobody cares what you approve of. Gay people exist, gay people should be allowed the same rights as straight people, and the fact that you "don't approve", for no intelligent reason, doesn't mean that we should have our lives negatively affected by your illogical disapproval
LGBT citizens have served openly in Canada's militaries for nearly 20 years. I wonder why? Perhaps Canadians are biologically superior and less prone to illogical prejudice?
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF The fact that I do not approve of their sexual preference doesn't mean that I am opposed to gays having the same rights as heterosexuals. I think its idiotic that people try to stop the gays from having equal rights.
When the shit hits the fan, I highly doubt sexual orientation matters. Other times, when the soldiers aren't fighting, say, in their down time, there will definitely be some conflict. It should be only the soldiers' opinions that matter, as it really only affects them.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 Why will there "definitely be some conflict"? There are already GBT people serving in the military. They're not asking for "license to harass", they're asking to be allowed to serve their country while not pretending to be straight.
For nearly 20 years Canada has allowed LGBT soldiers to serve openly. So far, so good. Why do you think it would be different for America? Do you think Americans are mentally inferior?
Are you aware of all the other countries that allow gays to serve?
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF Because undoubtedly, there will be incidents of homophobes and other idiots harassing the gays. I think that gays should be allowed to openly serve, but again, I'd like to see the servicemen and servicewomen's opinions first, at least about their comfort with working with gays and lesbians.
To be honest, yes, I think that as a whole, Americans are more stupid than just about any other first world country. People are simply making it more of a moral issue than it really should be.
Cosmo1093 1 year ago
@Cosmo1093 Ahh, and those people who are harassing them should be discharged. rather than forcing LGBT people to be discharged simply for being gay.
If one cares more about disliking gay people than serving alongside gay people for the good of their country, and the world, they should be discharged. We don't need bigots in the military.
There was anger about a racially-integrated military for years, too. White's didn't want to serve with blacks. Gross, eh? But true.
MOKandRIFF 1 year ago
@MOKandRIFF And what about those who are simply not comfortable with showering and sleeping next to gay people? As long as the (vast?) majority of soldiers are comfortable working or being around gays and lesbians, then I think gays should be allowed to openly serve. Whether or not DADT is repealed really doesn't affect the vast majority of Americans, so I honestly don't understand what the big deal about it is..

Recent reports out of Michigan are linking prevalence of tattoos and a predisposition to antisocial personality disorder. The research was conducted by Dr. William Cardasis. His studies at the Michigan Centre For Forensic Psychiatry reviewed the cases of patients who were considered unfit to stand trial or who were judged to be insane and found that a majority had both signs of ASPD and a strong tendency to be tattooed.

your question?

MrEmesis 2 years ago
Thanks for proving me right, bigot!

You don't have to agree with gay marriage, you're free to disagree. You're just not free to stop me from marrying my boyfriend in our church. You can simply choose to not attend the ceremony. Problem solved!

MOK:According to the true definition, it is YOU who is the bigot. Read on especially about religious hypocrisy and irrationality.
"A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices.
The correct use of the term requires the elements of obstinacy, irrationality, and animosity toward those of differing devotion."
...the word bigot in English dates back to at least 1598, via Middle French, and started with the sense of "religious hypocrite"."

There are so many churches and religions that support LGBT people and couples, that we don't NEED to go to a bigoted church like yours for our weddings.
