@per9662 He's flaming an orange zest for a Bombay Sapphire Cosmopolitan, hence why he said "now the flamed orange is the standard garnish for the world famous Cosmopolitan" with a fucking cosmopolitan standing in front of him, are you blind? Do you need me to draw a diagram for you?
@botchalism Listen chief he's saying nothing about a gin cosmo! Are you serious? Dale Degroff who created the cosmo is the one who says to put a flamed orange peel garnish for the drink. This is a video about flaming an orange zest for a STANDARD cosmo. Putting gin into a cosmo isn't sacrilegious either, it compliments the botanicals in sapphire. And yes I would love to see this beautiful drawing of yours, right after you take your daily dose of ritalin.
@per9662 This is the official representative of Bombay Sapphire in a Bombay Sapphire promotional ad campaign. There isn't a single video where he is using anything BUT Bombay Sapphire, hence why there are a dozen Bombay Sapphire bottles on the bar and NOTHING else, hence why the account name is Bombaysapphire1, hence why it says "BOMBAY SAPPHIRE PRESENTS" in the beginning. As if a gin promotional needs to explicitly tell you they're using gin, good grief you are fucking dense.
@magikaster2 As if that lends any credibility to it, James Bond was an anti-hero. He also has his shaken, which bruises the cocktail another martini no no.
i was a cocktail barman also for a very posh hotel, and this guy speaks the truth about how it is done. i suggest if he has more videos you should watch.
Thanks gilarenasfan94, I've enjoyed Bombay sapphire & tonic for years but never considered doing anything else with it. I always thought the botanicals of BS may clash with other ingredients. This cosmo sounds nice though.
this is why you don't juice orange rinds. their skins were once used to manufacture incendiaries, and are inedible. but the caramelized oils taste great.

Putting gin in a cosmo is just as sacrilegious as putting vodka in a martini.

@botchalism He's not putting gin into a cosmo....read the description "how to flame an orange zest"
per9662 7 months ago
@per9662 Flaming orange zest is a reference to the garnish not the drink...¬¬

ehh i wouldnt use bombay in a cosmo, just because of the strong acidic tastes. best stick with vodka in this case.
